Just interested if people would be willing to pay for a broswer. Currently, pretty much the only way browsers make money is through search royalties. Cost would be less thank $5 USD.

Nope, and you are wrong about them only making money on search royalties. Chrome for example is a huge data collector for Google, and there are many ways to monetize off data.
