hi all I thought I would get the opinion of the forum, instead of waiting 7-18 days on weather this would get a rejection or not, and if so what should I change…

blacc360,

It seems much of this flyer’s design relies heavily on the form, shape and position of the model. It’s highly custom because of this. This makes me wonder whether or not you will be providing your purchasers with the model photo or not. If not, the elaborate effects you have pulled off with the model need to be translatable to any other model or image someone wants to replace the one seen here with.

In effect this would mean that you would need to have present Photoshop actions or a smart object(s) with filters and adjustment layers that enable one to get the whispy smoke/water effect on her arm, the model’s off-centered white outline, the “Funky Chaser” logo under her bikini, the stripe effects and all. All of these must be accessible and editable to the purchaser for them to use with their own model; if you do not provide this model.

It’s very original and custom work. I like it for what it is. If you have the permission to sell the image of the model with your flyer I’d approve. If you have preset Photoshop actions or filters/adjustment layers for me to pull of the same effects I see here with any model I decide to use I’d approve your flyer.

If none of the above are applicable to this flyer; I would not approve because the purchaser would not be able to attain what they were presented with in this flyer.

Hopefully that helps.

I didn’t create a action but have outlined how to achieve this effect, as for the outline its just a stroke of the girl I have just made any action for that, Ive tested it with other girls tell me what you think, please take into consideration that the original girl i believe is still the strongest.

blacc360,

Okay I see the flyer now at its core. By using a different model I can more clearly tell what the actual included elements in this design will be. This should work as a flyer.

Just looking at it a little more, I see you took SomethingDesign’s advice for the shadow under the tree/vine element. Just in my own personal taste I’d decrease the shadow’s distance a little.

And out of curiosity… I see there is a circular set of line details radiating out from this model’s navel/stomach area that I did not see on the other model. Are the models you are using for this design highly photo-maniuplated, or are you kind of playing with elements for your previews. I like what I see here. It’s customized to the model. But not all models are the same. Just curious of your process here, and what purchasers can expect.

All the elements are there already, the reason you didn’t notice it was on the other model it is radiating behind her I just moved it in front of her, just playing with the elements, all models have no photomanip’s done to them, just hue and sat’s plus levels. And also noted on the distance of the shadow will change.

All elements are customisable, just in case the model dose not sit right in the flyer all elements can be moved to compensate for this. there are 3 element groups top elements ( the ones in front of model) back elements that are behind the model, then there is effects elements the liness, radial and colour, the placeholder for girl sits inbetween these layers, all colours are easily changed with hue and sat’s layers, I will also prove links to models and fonts, along with instruction on how to get the effect on the girl in the first flyer, which is no more than 4 steps e.g duplicate image, go to filters>distort>displace and select psd to displace image, done. my background is as a photo manipulator check my work on http://blacc360.deviantart.com/gallery/

Just some feedback from me.

You are talented and have some very nice designs, BUT… You will need to find the path between custom designs and templates that can be edited with ease.

Try to think from the buyer side of view. They are not very skilled as you are, so that’s twice as hard for them to modify the template – meaning it should be as simple as it can. From here you can try and work your way to design a unique and special flyer while keeping in mind the simplicity of the composition for future modifications by the buyers.
