I know including an admin panel for my WP theme would boost my sales, but I’m going to release a Wordpress theme that will be available in one color only. Do you think it is necessary to always include theme admin panel?

Are there any WP themes that sell well even without the admin panel?

No one will buy your theme without one.

Most buyers have limited knowledge of how wordpress is programmed.

OK, then what all options should the admin panel include?

And do the themes with just one color scheme sell well? I know those with more color options sell better, but are there any one-color themes that sell well?

Thanks

Check out the Option Tree plugin provided by Envato. It’s exactly what you need: http://wp.envato.com/open-source-plugins/option-tree/

Also, color schemes are pretty default option in themes.

That’s a good plugin, but i find it lacking since when installed (and XML file also installed) all textboxes and other options are totally blank, and it’s up to the buyer to fill EVERYTHING out. For mythemes, i include some entries filled out so the site has some functionality out of the box.
