Hey guys,
This started with the thread: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/the-best-way-to-implement-easy-updating-of-themes-for-buyers/42258
I was asking around the best way on how to implement easier WP theme updating for buyers. The quick answer of people were child themes, but I’m not too sure about that since inevitably buyers would still need to edit files.
So my solution is: the WP Theme Update Helper. If you edited the source codes and files of the theme you bought and want to update, you zip your theme folder, upload it and the helper will tell you all your changes.. that’s it.
I built a prototype, which I plan to use soon. Here’re the screenshot of the site/tool:

after they upload they’ll get something like this: http://www.gambit.ph/themeforest/screen_result.gif
Any thoughts?
