I will never buy a themplate if is not valid, not only the html, css too.

Then I guess you won’t buy anything with browser-specific CSS declarations?

Seriously now, they do need to validate, but if your CSS for example doesn’t validate because of properties like -moz-border-radius or similar, that’s ok :)

Silly me thought that all templates here would validate, but the latest purchase didn’t (closing divs outside the closing body and html tags). The author said it would be fixed, but that was three weeks ago. Shame on me for not checking before buying.

I am asking because WP engine automatically adds something like this: role=”search” or doesn’t add ul before li when you activate some widgets

The W3 validation service is a tool, not a rule. ( lol at my rhyme :D )
