Hey guys, just received this email and thought I’d let you know the following:
"WPML is becoming a commercial product Our WordPress plugin, WPML, is changing from being a free project to a commercial (paid) plugin. The older versions will remain available on wordpress.org, but new versions (paid) will only be available for download from wpml.org. This change is not only about money but about our commitment and responsibility. We recognize the fact web developers are using WPML to build commercial sites and we're set to provide a reliable product with reliable support. There will be two versions of WPML: Blog - includes the basic functionality. Cost: $29 / year. CMS - includes the complete functionality. Cost: $79 / year. All current clients, who are running and translating active sites, will receive a complementary subscription for the CMS edition. In other words, they won't need to pay. Everyone who purchased our support will get subscriptions to the CMS version as well, with expiration dates set from the time we launch. We'll be launching the new commercial version for WPML next week. At that time, we'll also issue the subscriptions to all translation and support clients. I'll send a new message once this gets off the ground."
Before recommending WPML to your Buyers, tell them it’s becoming a paid product and they should be aware of if (it’s definitely worth the money since it’s a great multi-language plugin).
Are there any other similar multi-language plugins that you recommend?
