Hey Guys!

Sorry for the long delay in getting this feature added to the plugin, it turned out to be a bit of a pain in the butt! For those of you that tried, you know what I’m talking about. :)

On that note, you’ll be happy to know that 2.1 supports WPML String Translation for the Text, Textarea, & Textarea Simple option types both on their own and when inside a Slider or List Item and even when they’ve been re-ordered. the only caveat is you’ll need to use the ot_get_option() function, or alternatively use the new ot_wpml_filter() function, when getting your data from WordPress.

Additionally, you can use filters if you want to add more option types to the supported list. I’m also curious to know if any other option types should be supported by default, so please do chime in.

Cheers, Derek

Thanks Derek.

Actually one of the most enjoyable things that I do when I develop a theme, is working with OT. I like it very much :)

One thing that I need and I would like to add it to my next theme, is color picker with support of rgba colors.

I will work on a option type to put the color in rgba with fallback support for old browsers in this way:

color: #000000; color: rgba(0,0,0,0.3);

If you think this is a good option to add to ot, please let me know to send it on github for you.

I also like to use tinymce in list items (mostly in metaboxes). Is it possible to add it to default option types?

And of the most important things imho: Add the possibility to export and import settings without using setting menu and do it directly from theme options section.

Cheers

The color picker either needs to be converted to the WordPress native version or support for other color options need to be added. So I fully agree with your there. You can become part of the conversation about the future of the current color picker here https://github.com/valendesigns/option-tree/issues/83

I haven’t checked recently on whether or not the editor being moved in the DOM is still an problem. Open a issue on github and it will be looked into for version 2.2.

I added support for hiding the Settings UI Builder while still showing the Import/Export pages. So this has been resolved in 2.1. :) You can take a look at ot-loader.php for more information on how to get that setup with the new filters.

If you or anyone finds bugs, please head over to https://github.com/valendesigns/option-tree/ and create an issue with as much detail as possible and if it’s an urgent issue I’ll get a hotfix version pushed out as quick as humanly possible.

Cheers
