You call this quality?

I’ve seen some really nice pieces of artwork on this site but here recently I’ve seen an abundance of poorly thrown together items. This is giving us the impression that some of the file we purchase may not be of top quality. What is in place to make sure this type of stuff doesn’t get through the cracks. Authors are allowed to upload anything they want around here and it could hurt the sites credibility.

Is this really quality workmanship?

Hi JG, I’m sorry this is against forum rules but I don’t think coming from a very large business there is a need to have censorship for this type of behavior. Really to be honest, I don’t think we want to do business with a company that is into censoring what the customers are unhappy with. I believe we may be done here.

The pattern isn’t even seamless, it looks very unprofessional. I think this company needs to implement a team of creative / art directors that preview the work before authors upload to make sure it is of high quality. What do yall think?

This is just a small sample of some of the things I’ve seen uploaded here recently. As a buyer, we’re not feeling very comfortable with quality control around here.

I agree with you. Some items are really unproffesional, and that items do not deserve to be on marketplace like Envato!

Hi Accudata!

Thank you for your input. Please get in touch with support, and if you have valid proof of poor quality for a purchased file, I think there might be a refund in order. Regarding the reviewing process, there is a very competent team of reviewers designated to each and every separate marketplace, so they are specialised on their specific target market. However, they are still humans, and minor mistakes can always happen, be it as small as a file with poor naming convensions getting through, or as apparently obvious as a not tiling texture used within a file. That being said, Envato is striving to increase the standards of approved files and reviewers are also constantly improving in terms of selecting what gets accepted and what doesn’t.

Thank you for understanding, and please do try to get in touch with support providing a link to the purchased file, and the reason for which you feel the purchased goods do not reflect the quality for which you’ve paid the price (i.e: if the files preview files did not reflect the mistakes you noticed after purchase for example).

Thanks! Could you perhaps elaborate on what would fall under the category of “valid proof of poor quality for a purchased file…” as we looked through the knowledge base couldn’t get a direct and transparent answer as to what this might entail?

We have purchased many items from Photodune which have been superb, no problems there, besides it’s very difficult to navigate and with no “add to cart” functionality, it’s a bit of a task to find and compare photos.

As far as GraphicRiver is concerned, we are revamping our advertising and we see some products on here that look really good but we are a bit skeptical when searching by date added as a lot of the files do not look good and look very.. i dont know the word use, but perhaps amateuristic and sloppy?

Doesn’t it make more sense to have a business model that only promotes the best of the best when it comes to products so that your competitors don’t have data that they could use against you? I see many items where buyers are unhappy with their purchase but I do feel as if the good outweighs the bad in this case.

Either way, I’m just giving my feedback on some of the things that I’ve noticed around here. I’m not artist but I do know it’s very difficult to find really great items on this marketplace with all the sloppy items that are in the search results.

Perhaps you guys can do some spring cleaning, or perhaps have a function built into your system that allows us to “hide” items from showing back up in our search results that we know we would never buy.

Unfortunately, I cannot access that site at work, as it says it’s an untrusted site and could have malware on it. I’ll see if I can access it from my home office.

“valid proof of poor quality for a purchased file…”

@accudata, send to support link to item and the examples where they can see that low quality. Could not be simpler.

Best regards!
