Hey!

Thank you for information and welcome to our community guys! :)

I have a new position on the Community Team as a Communication Specialist as I am personally stepping away from the Community Manager position to help support having the position based in our Melbourne headquarters.

This is so sad to hear that you are not our Community Manager anymore but if this new role will let you to spend more time in the forums, then this is a good news as I believe many members of our community enjoy reading your words as much as I do ;)

Some of you may be wondering where our former team member D’zinc is. Sadly (for us!), D’zinc has decided to hang up his Community Officer hat to travel the world.

Last month I got an email from D’zinc that I’m chosen as the Community Superstar of the month and I’ll get my shining badge (Oh my badge…) within a few days.

So this is why I’m not getting that badge :D Anyway, if it’s because he wants to explore the world which is one of the best things anyone may do in his life, It’s OK ;) Hope we’ll see him again in our forums very soon… :)

Cheers,
Iman

well I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and hope everything is for the best. :)

said that and also making clear that this are management decisions and I have nothing against them, and also is not a complain but only a bit of perplexity.

just that I’m not sure how well a new staff member can understand this community. I mean, off course, the team knows the community well so she will get great help from there :) but maybe as the community boss we could have someone with more experience with envato and especially with the community?

Or probably I don’t understand the role of the community manager. Maybe is just a position to keep in line the community team. :D Nothing in common with the actual community. Is never clear with all this naming positions, what they actually have to do.

Like Product manager, still don’t understand what is the role of this team member. But I know what a developer role is: to be wake up at 4 in the morning because the website had crashed. :D

about the Elite Author Manager. hmm. what if we call this position Community Author Manager only? I mean is giving the impression elite authors are better than normal authors and they have a dedicated community staff just for them.

But I wish everybody success on their new roles hope we will do great things in the future :D

Can’t wait to see who will be the new member of the community team. Hope not the vskirkan specialist (or what was the name of that guy)

Not much complex. I think anyone who can understand the role of authors/selling process and buyers/purchasing process will easily grasp essential needs of community. Understanding the rest is optional.
