Ok, so Thank you for the posts to my first month sales thread. You are all so optimistic!
Now, would you be willing to look a bit out at the future with me?

What is your goal in dollars for January and, what new action are you taking to get you there?
So exciting!
Hmm, too personal? I’ll start, $100.00

Not a $$ goal, but I should probably take some photos
It’s the dead of winter right now and I have low motivation to go out there and shoot
I don’t have a $ amount goal for January but I do plan to improve on a few things over the next few months. I picked up a camera for the first time 11 months ago so I am still learning alot of the basics and will continue to improve as I go. I tend to love nature photography which is not a “good seller” for stock photography, in my opinion, so I plan to branch out and try my hand at more “sell-able” items.
Good luck with your sales
My plan is to try and get a shiny orange paw for January
lol
Will be looking at New ideas creating 3d models, maybe looking at animation for videohive ect
Good luck everyone with your goals!
$100.00 would be nice.

I had a discussion with a friend a few days ago and he had the same exact reason (or just an excuse) like yours – it’s too cold / too dark / too depressive for him to gather motivation and inspiration (he’s into photography as well).
The only thing I shared with him is this situation: temperature is in minus, it’s snowing, my fingers are freezing, but I’m still headed through pretty high snow in a middle of “nowhere” (ie. nobody around me) determined to reach the bottom of trench of an old fortress in my city. It might not seem too dangerous, but the location is a bit remote and it’s not usual for people to hang out there – if anything had happened to me, chances were slim that anybody would find me in time.
My reason for this? It was almost ideal place for me to record a delicate sound of snowfall…
It’s only one sound recording.
Now imagine what you could do with your camera at one place – shoot at least dozen of photos. C’mon, put your warm winter clothes on and go for it!
P.S. I’ll talk about my goals once 2012 ends and I make a summary of my previously set goals. You’ll hear more from me on these forums
Thanks for the replies!
And Urbazon, you reminded me of shooting at 25 below zero in Alaska…
But I never heard the snowflakes fall!
Good luck!:D
