I plan on purchasing different design templates for clients and customizing them however I don’t want the client to know where or how much Im payimg for the templates so using the preview image with the Envato watermark is out of the question.

And purchasing dozens of different templates upfront is not feasible for me.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can show them one of your design templates without them knowing where I buy them from? Thanks.

Do you buy regular or extended license?

Hmm, I think that you need to buy extended license if you want to resell designs, I will flag my post for staff reply, and you will get fast official answer.

Really? I buy themes on themeforest all the time and I dont believe I have to buy extended license.

I thought the extended license meant they stop selling that item?

Nope, extended license means that you can resell that theme, but author have full rights to continue with sell on themeforest. :)

But for official answer, please wait staff reply.

You can read more on licenses here: http://themeforest.net/licenses/regular

As for finding item previews without watermarks, you may want to look at the individual Author’s social links found on their profile page. You may find links to DeviantArt or their personal site where images of the product can be found.

You only need the extended licence if you want to resell the template as is.

You can buy a template, edit it and then sell the edited/customise template to your client As if it were your work. You can do this once for every regular licence you by.

That is what I expect most of my customers to do with my templates.

Quickandeasy’s tip makes sense. You can always ask the authors if they would be happy to send you a preview without watermarks. I would be perfectly happy to do that.

Cheers

Chris

Thanks, that’s what i thought too. I will probably just ask the authors for a “watermarkless” image.
