Great theme. I purchased but I’m having a lot of problems making it look like it did in the preview
I’d recommend installing the test data, this will at least give you a starting point close to the demo site. For details of how to import it open the documentation found in the “Documentation” folder in the main download package and check out the “Getting Started” section. If you’re still having problems setting up specific things send me an email at email@example.com
Wonderful theme and great support you offer here. I’m wondering if the images in the slider can be clicked to link to the actual product description? They didn’t in the demo. If so, or if you can add, I will purchase. Thanks!!!
Sure, you can link each slide to anything you like
Thanks quitenicestuff!! So grateful for your prompt response!
This looks good, I just purchased.
I plan to only sell affiliate product on the store. Is there a particular setup?
Do i still need woocommerce and to create woocommerce pages?
A little confused…
WooCommerce basically enables a shopping cart/checkout on your site which allows people to purchase products. If you’re not selling products I guess you wouldn’t need it, depends if you want this functionality or not?
Hi quitenicestuff, great looking theme. Cant wait to start designing.
Having an issue with woocommerce, unfortuantly it will no install into plug-in folder. I used the FTp method and direct download and it just does not want to appear in the Plug-In area to active. Any advice?
Thanks a lot for purchasing
I’d recommend downloading the zip from here: http://www.woothemes.com/woocommerce/
Then unzip it and place the folder in “wp-content/plugins”, then login to WordPress and go to “Plugins” and it should be there, click “Activate” and you’re good to go, also worth making sure you’ve got the latest version of WordPress.
Let me know if you’re still having problems after trying the above
quitenicestuff, thank you ever so much. There is nothing like a promt response, and on top of that actually getting a resolution.
It worked and I appreciate your assistance.
Thanks for your answer.
I still want to have a shop, but each item would redirect to the affiliate site.
What set up would you recommend for that?
I think you’d have to do some modification work to achieve this, perhaps replace the “Add to cart” buttons with your affiliate link?
I need change de style button (add cart) in shop page and index. I want de Button Style 1. And a Single Product page I want the button Style 4 Colour.
And I want to place the menu alphabetical order on top of page.
Where do I change?.
Could you email me via support at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll be happy to help. Unfortunately TF doesn’t allow CSS code in the item comments so I can’t add it here
Hi, I am a little bit confused about how to setup categories and connecting them with the menu items. In your demo, when you click Shop and Skin Care, you see products from that category. How do you do this, do you have specific documentation on that topic? How do I link the new page I created to show the products from a specif category, I can’t find it. Thanks for a wonderful theme and for your help !
When you add a product to a product category, the category will appear as a clickable link on the product detail page. You can click the category link to get the category URL , then just go to “Appearance > Menus” and add the link as a “Custom Link”.
The reason the product category isn’t showing on the demo’s product single pages is because I chose to hide them, if you’d like the same kind of setup send me an email via support at email@example.com and I’ll send you the code
Great, works like a charm !
Thanks for great support and quick response, awesome !
Hi, I’m considering purchasing this theme, but wont need the purchasing functions to begin with. Will this be possible?
Shouldn’t be a problem, you can just hide the “Add to cart” buttons until you’re ready to start selling
Okay great. Does that require coding or is it a built in option. Does the same apply to price? I may never need to use the eCommerce side of it, but instead of “add to cart” I may need to do something like “buy online”, or “store locator”, or even both which would just link to another page on the site.
I’ll need to display a range of different products and categories, but as it’s for a distributor, they don’t sell directly to the public and just need to show where it can be bought.
Does that sound feasible?
It certainly sounds feasible, however you would need to do a bit of coding to achieve it as its not a standard feature of WooCommerce. I’d be more than happy to help with any questions you’ve got regarding which files to edit though.
Hi! I purchased this theme recently, and I would like to translate it to Croatian language… can you please tell me how to do it
Thank you for purchasing, I would recommend this plugin for translation: http://wpml.org
I am using Codestyling Localization plugin, and I translated some expressions, but there is some problem with using many textdomains withing one file – i am getting problem with translating words connected with woothemes, woocommerce and optionsframework. Words within qns textdomain are translatable, but these other aren’t. Do you know how can we fix this?
The .mo/.po files for WooCommerce are found in “wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/languages”, it appears to already be translated into a lot of languages so most likely you just need to scan this area and you’re good to go. All the admin text can be translated with the “default.mo/.po” files in the root of the theme folder.
Hey Looks like a nice theme, will it be possible to have a drop down like size: s, m, l, xl with each product?
Currently you can add “Custom Product Attributes” which will display sizes or anything else in a list. I can see how this wouldn’t be ideal though, certainly agree a drop down would be better. I’m going to see if this is a feasible feature to add, if it is I’ll go ahead and do it in the next couple of days.
I’ve added this functionality now, in fact you can add any custom attributes now. So for example you could have a drop down for size, another for colour or anything else etc. I’ll be uploading it later with a how to in the documentation
there is also a problem with slider on homepage in WP 3 .4.2 and WC 1 .6.5.1 – it displays caption on first slide only, and for the rest slides there is no caption.
problem is visible in google chrome, in ie9 and firefox it is working ok
Indeed well spotted, this is a bug. I’ll work on a fix and aim to release it tomorrow.
Just a heads up, this is fixed now. I’ll post a comment when the update has been approved.
tnx for quick support
Not sure how to change the price to $?
Go to “WooCommerce > Settings”, make sure you’re on the “General” tab, then select your currency of choice from the “Currency” drop down menu
first thanks for all the quick replies…
But I do have some more questions!
How to use different sidebars let s say for the blog and for the shop? Obviously we don t want to show the same thing…
I’d recommend the “Widget Logic” plugin, it allows you to select which page you want certain widgets to display on: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/
That didn t help… Maybe I didn t figure out how to configure it, but to me i followed instructions…
An option to create different sidebars inside the theme would be great!
Could you give more details why it didn’t work? I’ve used Widget Logic on a lot of projects in the past and it always works well for me.
If I remember correct after you’ve installed the plugin go to “Appearance > Widgets” and then when you drag a widget into a widget area there will be an option that allows you to select which page to display the widget on
This works fine with the default wp templates but not with this one.
Could you send me an email via support at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll look into this for you.
I think the problem is most likely the extension needs to use jQuery no conflict, can’t say for sure until I see the code though.
That s what I did. But when I do: is_page(‘shop’) then the widget just disappears completely…
Maybe you should give it a try…
I know they say it may be something with after or during the loop or whatever… (don t know what this means lol)
After a bit of investigation I agree Widget Logic and WooCommerce seem like a poor match for one another.
Give me a day or so and I’ll issue an update with a new sidebar widget area that only displays on shop pages
I’ve submitted the update which allows you to place widgets only on WooCommerce pages. Just waiting for approval, it should be available in the next few hours
