Hey!

I just read “I’ve just uploaded an update to fix all these issues – it’s currently awaiting approval from Themeforest but should be available to download within the next few hours.”

Thats great, I have made alot of updates. Which files should I update in order to fix it? Or i need to overwrite every single file? If you could be specfic which files needed to be updated it would be great ;)

Thanks!

Hi LiveJens,

Please see the “Changelog” section on the product description page: http://themeforest.net/item/-organic-shop-responsive-woocommerce-theme/2931436

As long as you’ve made your changes via the theme options or a child theme you won’t lose them.

If you have any other questions please open a support ticket: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

I am interested in purchasing Organic Shop theme. Can I please view the documentation before I buy? Is there somewhere I can download it from?

Thanks, Mike

quitenicestuff

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your interest.

The documentation is included in the theme package, setup is fairly straight forward as Organic Shop is a very simple theme.

I can email you the documentation as an example – just send me an email with a link to this comment: hello@quitenicestuff.com

Hi again guys, Update has allowed me to add an instagram social icon to the header but when i do it adds an RSS icon and places the instagram URL there and also adds the instagram icon with no URL. Have also raised a ticket so i can keep our url discreet.

Thanks, Ian

There was another line to change as well but worked great, thanks.

If possible can you take another look at my site (www.dapperduke.co.uk) and advise how i remove the blank space on the main menu?

Had to change another line too but fix worked great, thanks.

If possible can you please take another look at my site (www.dapperduke.co.uk) and advise how i remove the blank space at the end of the main menu?

quitenicestuff

Hi jooce2004,

To remove the space at the end of the main menu you can either increase the letters in your menu items, or increase the spacing around each menu item.

For the latter option open a support ticket and I’ll be happy to advise how to do this: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

Hi,

For some reason all of my add to cart buttons that are below each product are left-aligned, is there any way to fix this?

Hi designersaur,

Just responded to your ticket which you opened on the support forum.

Google maps not changing Hey guys. Great theme. We are trying to change the google map adress on the contact-page, so it will show the place that we work. But whatever we do, nothing changes. We also tried in the template-contact.php, to change “London, Uk”, but nothing happened. What are we doing wrong, and can you help us?

quitenicestuff

Hi ollemanden92,

Sounds like it could be a cache issue, if your running any WP cache plugins please make sure you’re clearing them after making changes.

Failing that could you open a support ticket with your website URL included so I can take a look please: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

Hi quitenicestuff,

I recently updated to the new version of your theme. Everything is working great but for some reason the “Featured Image” on the blog has started cropping itself to a thin size of “612×107” when it used to be “612×200”.

All of my original blog posts still remain the same but with any new post, when I upload a featured image at “612×200” they get cropped automatically to “612×107”.

What can I do to go back to the original size?

Thanks!

quitenicestuff

Hi jigalode,

Blog post featured images have always been cropped to 600×107.

You can easily change this by editing line 28 in “organic_shop/functions.php” – if you have any other questions open a support ticket and I’ll be happy to help: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

Hello,

Is there anyway to create a custom order for the featured items on the homepage? Thank you

quitenicestuff

Hi jduvall,

The featured products on the homepage are inserted using the WooCommerce featured products shortcode – which I believe orders the products based on date, so to change the order you would simply need to edit the publish date of your items.

Dear QNS,

I have taken over a site with Organic Shop installed (version 1.9.3). The original webmaster did not give the site owner the purchase code and the original files. She is also not answering text or phone calls.

The woo commerce is badly broken and I was hoping to get documentation on Organic Shop and what the file structure should be.

I appreciate whatever you can do for me or any suggestions you may have!

Sincerely, Barbara

quitenicestuff

Hi Barbara,

The latest WooCommerce update changed a lot of stuff.

Updating to the latest version of Organic Shop (2.4) will fix all these issues.

To update you’ll need access to the purchaser’s account, or you’ll need to get the purchaser to download it for you.

Wow! Thank you for your prompt reply.

I have a pre purchase question, the header area where the logo goes can we make that a diff color besides white? Can the navigation bar be made a diff color as well? Also instead of a logo can we place a banner instead 700px X 70px?

quitenicestuff

Hi Sailing_Summer,

Thanks for your interest.

None of these things can be done using the built in theme options, but with a bit of custom CSS all are possible.

Hello,

Is there a specific setting that needs to be used in the footer widgets to allow the button shortcode to work? For some reason they don’t work when added to the text widget. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

See bottom of this page: http://koalabrands.com/wordpress/

Thanks

quitenicestuff

Hi jduvall,

The default WordPress text widget doesn’t allow shortcodes, however you can use this plugin to add shortcodes in a text widget: https://wordpress.org/plugins/shortcode-widget/

Hope that helps!

I am having trouble figuring out how to add a privacy policy page that only shows on the bottom toolbar that does not appear on the main menu. I would like for the only way to get to the privacy policy to be from the bottom of the page. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

quitenicestuff

Hi jlhcky,

This is simple to do, you just need to create two separate menus.

Go to “Appearance > Menus”, click “Create New Menu” and set one as the “Primary Navigation”, then create another menu and set it as the “Footer Navigation” and add the relevant links to each menu.

If you’re having problems doing this open a support ticket and I’ll be happy to help: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

Hello, Thank you for the theme. I think its great. I have a question. I just downloaded the new Wordpress update and it is saying that some of the plugins are out of date on my theme. How do I go about updating those plugins without messing anything up on my website.

I am new to Wordpress and coding.

quitenicestuff

Hi jbutrous25,

Which plugins? If it’s WooCommerce which is out of date you can safely update in the WP dashboard, just make sure you’re also running the latest version of the theme (2.4.1).

For any other plugins, you’ll need to contact the plugin author to check compatibility with WP and WooCommerce.

If you have any other questions please open a support ticket: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

Hello, really enjoying the theme so far. Two questions:

1.) I’m having some problems with the Contact page map. No matter what address I provide, it only shows the default map location that is baked with the theme. I even investigated some of the php files and printed out the result. It looks like the address I input is being suppled as part of the shortcode as an attribute, but it looks like maybe the shortcode handler for googlemaps isn’t interpreting the address provided? Any thoughts?

2.) Is there a way to disable the Contact form on the Contact page and use a custom form instead?

Thanks

Thanks.

quitenicestuff

Hi nickjellings,

1.) Sorry this is a bug caused by the latest update – I’ve just uploaded a fix, it should be available to download within the next few hours

2.) To disable comments, go to “Pages” in the WP dashboard, hover over a page title, some options will appear, click “Quick Edit” and untick “Allow Comments”.

To create a custom form you can use the Contact Form 7 plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/

If you have any other questions pleas open a support ticket and I’ll be happy to help: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

Hi quitenicestuff,

Thanks for updating the google map. Seems to be working okay now when I provide a latitude & longitude.

You mention disabling comments for #2 above. My request was to disable the contact us form on the contact page. I did try to disable comments - just in case - but it didn’t appear to have any effect on the Contact Us page contact form. Is this what you meant, or was there another method needed to be used to disable the default form? The primary reason I’d like to replace it is so I can use a plugin to store form submissions to the database as well as email them to the administrators.

Please let me know if you would prefer I open a ticksy ticket for this. I figured I would reply first since it’s a follow-up to my previous question.

Thanks again for the help.

is there a catalog mode for this theme ?

quitenicestuff

Hi guo_an,

Thanks for your interest.

I’m afraid there isn’t but you can hide the add to cart buttons easily using a bit of custom CSS.

Hi, thanks for the great theme, I have started using for my mom’s tea store. At first, I would like to just use it for just store information and no commerce. Is there a way, how the view cart button can be removed from the header page?

Thanks Armin

Nevermind, I found the solution by just de-activating the WooCommerce plugin. Should have searched first, sorry about that :)

Hi there, I just updated to wordpress 3.9 and it seems to break the theme (v 2.4.2) Do you have a new version planned to fix the issue?

quitenicestuff

Hi scoyne2,

Organic Shop 2.4.2 is working fine for me in WP 3.9 – Could you open a support ticket with details of the problem please so I can take a look: http://quitenicestuff.ticksy.com/

Kind regards

Hi. I am running v 2.4.2, and just updated my woocommerce. Now I am getting this message again: “Your theme has bundled outdated copies of WooCommerce template files” Is there something I should be doing differently or is a new version needed?

Also, are there any plans to make it so the theme can be updated from my wordpress dashboard instead of having to download and do the file transfer every time? I love this theme, but I hate getting that message and having to re-download and transfer everything every time.

Thanks, Linda

quitenicestuff

Hi Linda,

The latest WooCommerce update changed the “review-order.php” file, I’ll update and the theme to support this shortly.

I’m afraid there’s no way to update the theme from the dashboard, but updating via FTP only takes a few moments if you upload the zip file as opposed to extract before uploading.

WooCommerce is telling me that the review-order.php file in my Organic Theme is currently at version 2.1.0 and is out of date. Apparently the core version is 2.1.8, does the latest version of the theme contain an updated review-order.php file?

quitenicestuff

Hi Sebish,

I’ll upload an update to address this soon, it’s actually just a version naming mismatch – the reviews system still functions fine.
