Hi Great theme – I am looking to buy it however, I noticed that the menu buttons don’t work in Safari (6.0) – it also has the same issue with iOS..
is there a fix for this?
Yes, it’s going to be fixed this weekend.
It only happens on mountain lion
Please check our demo now and tell me if the nav works fine now: http://teothemes.com/wp/viewpoint/
Hi – yes ur demo works fine and really well.. I have now Purchased the theme and in the process of tweaking it..
will there be an update for the theme? is there a way to stop the intro image from redrawing for users with retina resolution
yes, it will be an update today or max. tomorrow.
Hi BJBusch84 I’m having the exact same issues as you… Where you able to fix the background problem?
My client just reviewed the website after so many customization and he has a big screen monitor and we found out that the background is just centering itself with the code FinaDestiny provided.
It’s repeating itself everywhere… Top left right bottom…
On the iPad the template works horribly!
The homepage shows above the other pages when scrolling down and it will only disappear if you slide the page itself on the screen.
Very buggy! Please help with these issues as my client is very upset and I’m just very frustrated because this is not working!
Can you attach a screenshot with the background? It does the same thing on my demo?
I can’t provide a screenshot because he showed me on his computer… But yes we tried the demo as well and the same thing happen… The background center property is not doing it it just shifts the image but it it’s not responsive at all….
Ad on the iPad the menu and content from the homepage shows above the other pages as you scroll down.. Which causes the nav2 menu not to work until you actually slide the page a bit with your finger… Which makes the homepage content disappear and the nav2 menu function…
I don’t know what to do I’ve tried many different ways but it’s just not working… I think I will have to file a refund… It’s just way too buggy to work with… And it’s not responsive at all…
Post your url please and I will check it.
Http://panevittoria.com
Replace the previous code you added with this one:
#intro .bg1 { background-position: center center !important; background-size: cover !important;And I see you have a z-index of 100, remove it..that might cause the overflow issues
I already tried the cover property but it doesn’t do anything…
My client is very upset… I’ve spent way too much time on a 3 page website you know…
It shouldn’t be this difficult replacing a background image… Especially when the homepage image is within the templates options in the backend…
Everything should already be setup for that without having to do any customization… But regardless the point is that it’s not working and I’m out of ideas….
With cover it works just fine for me, on my computer. Do you have a skype username where we can chat faster and fix the issue?
Doesn’t work my friend.. Because than on the iPad it zooms right in and you can’t see the background anymore….
Do you use skype or google talk? If yes, please post it here or send it through the contact form on my profile
Please check our demo now and tell me if the nav works fine now: http://teothemes.com/wp/viewpoint/
Hello, Nav menu still not working on the iPad. I will post a screenshot in a couple of hours once I get home to show you what I’m talking about.
It does not click and scroll to the page… And the text from the homepage still hovers over the other pages as you scroll down… Something is definitely wrong.
We can chat on Skype tomorrow and go over it… It needs to be fixed ASAP as my client is really upset and wants a refund.
Thanks for your support.
I’d like to keep the other comment thread I have focussed on the image issue, so I thought I’d make a new one for two other issues that I’ve found.
1 – The font size for the titles of each section are too large for the iPhone. As you can see in the below screenshot, the second star gets pushed onto the next line when the title is too long. It doesn’t do this with “Services”, so that leads me to believe that anything over 8 or 9 letters causes this issue. I’m guessing you just need to decrease the font size for the section titles on the iPhone.
Screenshot: http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/9030/photo1h.png
2 – It’s hard to describe this, so it’s probably best if you look at the screenshot below first. The top menu looks very strange when you start to scroll down and see the section titles. Take my screenshot for example. You’ll notice that the MB logo is not centered to the “Details” section. I’m not a designer, but I would think that the main logo should be centered on the page. Right now, it looks like you are centering the whole thing, taking into account the length of the menu choices up top.

Hi, Any news on these issues and when they can be resolved?
Will be fixed max. tomorrow.
Hi, in portfolio can I add video links? Could you provide example of how it could look/work please?
Thank you,
Julia
ps: Great theme!
Not by default, but that’s planned for the future release I’ll release in 1 or 2 weeks.
Hello, I love this theme, and have nearly completed setting it up. Quick question, how do you configure the e mail in the contact section. origination and destination? thank you. I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question!
In the theme options panel you should see an option for it.
I input my e mail under view point theme options> general settings. however, when I test the functionality the message never shows up in my inbox. What am I missing? thank you
Ehm, does the confirmation show up when you send the message?
No, I see no confirmation
Please send me a wordpress admin account + a FTP account via the contact form on my profile and I’ll take a look on it.
Hi, the theme is lovely. I am having a few problems some which I have seen discussed here but I’m still not sure what to do.
1. I can’t change the background image.
2. Pages/Menu items either disappear or don’t work. There doesn’t seem to be a method to this.
3. The blog page doesn’t function as a blog either when I designate the page as a blog template or when i select the blog in the general settings.
4. The map doesn’t appear when I put in the url or the html for the google map. I think maybe it’s too big but I’m not sure how to fix it.
5. I also have the yellow bar across the top.
Please advise!
scottfest.org
Thanks!
1) Add this to style.css:
intro .bg1, #contact .bg2 {
background-image: url(“link to your background image”) !important; }
2) They work fine for me, I can’t see any issue with them 3) Did you choose the blog page in the theme options panel? 4) Did you check the documentation? You need a specific url from the google maps websie and not the whole code, check the docs I included a tutorial there 5) Add this to style.css:
.top-bar { display: none; }
Hi Finaldestiny, Any news in regards to the issues posted last week?
Please let me know as im on a strict timeline after all the issues that happened.
Yes, today I’ll release an update with the smooth scroll fix, the top menu fix and the iPhone titles size along with some other fixes.
You can check the nav here to see how it works: http://teothemes.com/wp/vptest/. I’ve checked it on an iPhone and on the official iOS simulator.
Hi Finaldestiny. Looks good except 2 things… see screenshot
http://uvdesigns.ca/images/photo.PNGWhen you click on a page on the menu.. as you can see the homepage content shows above the other pages… only happens on ipad.. iphone is fine
And the background is still not responding to the device being used… and is repeating.. which we dont want to happen….
The background is also repeating on regular computer…
Thanks!
I still have to fix one issue with iPad, in the meanwhile replace your js/smooth-scroll.js with this one: http://pastebin.com/UXY50uNV
until I’ll submit an update to TF
for the iPad size find :
@media only screen and (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 959px) {and add after:
.heading h2 { font-size: 30px; }will fix the nav menu items, but the overflow doesn’t happen on the official simulator which is supposed to work 100% like a real iPad, can you please check on another device and see if it still does that?
Hi, yes the overflow of the text happens on every ipad. It does on mine, which is where i took the screenshot from, and i went to the store and tried it on many ipads… and same issue happens…
Ok, I’ll do my best to get an iPad today so I can check it live today and fix all the issues. They will all be implemented probably today along with some fixes for the smooth scroll for iOS on which I worked yesterday.
Ok let me know when ready.. My client is getting very impatient. Thanks!
Hi Any news on the update? I’ve updated the smooth scroll but didnt make anything better.. as well as the media css code…
I really need this update as i need to complete this website by tonight or tomorrow morning.
If the update is not out in a few hours i will need a refund because i will not have enough time to complete this.
For the overflow issue still not yet, couldn’t get an iPad to check it live. But for the smooth scroll effect, it still doesn’t work? What’s the problem? For that one I had several confirmations that it works as it should. As for the media code, didn’t it make the font size smaller?
Btw, if you could send me a skype or gtalk id so we can chat live, we could fix these issues way faster.
I cant go on skype or gtalk at the moment.. i’m currently at work.. and by the time i finish i think it’s night where you live.
I’m not sure what exactly the smooth scroll was supposed to fix… or what the media css code was supposed to fix… because i did not notice any changes..
if anything updating the smooth scroll made my website scroll very badly…
What issues were to be fixed with those 2 changes? When will the ipad overflow be resolved?
Can you email me an updated copy of the theme so that i can start from scratch again for the third time?
Well, the links were not working last time and once you clicked on one item from the 2nd menu, the menu became unusable / unclickable. Those issues were fixed and the nav should work fine right now. We just use the animate function of jQuery, nothing else that may affect the page on iPad. I’ll send you a fresh copy of the theme in about 2-3 hours when I’ll put all the files together and update it to TF. As for the overflow, I’ll try a fix, but without testing it live, I’m not 100% sure it will work. Send me an e-mail via my contact form so I can have your e-mail, to send you the theme.
email sent
Now my previously perfectly working menu/nav pages are duplicating as well as omitting pages that are meant to be in there? WTF is going on?
Can you please elaborate the problem and post your url?
cidawards.com.au I have tried recreating the pages, same thing is happening.
Please send me a wordpress admin account via the contact form on my profile so I can check the files.
I got this error message when activate the theme:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_theme() in /storage/content/48/130448/kingsisland.se/public_html/wp-content/themes/SCRN/teoPanel/nhp-options.php on line 977
Please update to wordpress 3.4
Thanks
Hi, Im re-posting this since I never got an answer:
Vaninawohlleb SAYS PURCHASED Hi! Great theme indeed! We are using it for a client and we are more then happy with it. However, we do experience few minor problems: 1. We would like to delete the auto-added contact link from the main menu. 2. The slideshow is not working properly in terms of responsiveness. It does change the width, however the height stays the same. 3. The whole contact page seems to not work properly. Sometimes it is impossible to fill the contact form and send it. Upon window resize it is possible (we are using a custom contact page with the contact form 7 plugin. The original contact was having the same bugs and thats why we switched to custom). Thank you in advance! Vanina
URL is http://redtapedesign.com/reubentruck
1) You removed position relative and z-index property from layout.css… that’s why it does that, add this to style.css:
.bg { z-index: 300; }
to remove it from the menu, go to teoPanel/custom-functions.php and remove:
echo '<li><a href="' . get_home_url() . '/#contact">Contact</a></li>' . PHP_EOL;2) Add this to style.css:
img.scale-with-grid, img { height: auto !important; }
3) Check 1
Thank you! It all worked out!
You’re welcome. Please rate the theme(1-5 stars) in the downloads section, if you want.
OPs- never mind, fixed that with negative z-indexes. It looks like the links going back to #intro does not work properly all of the time tho. (Although now, the images that i was using to navigate to top are missing or non working. I gave the class a higher z-index (900) but still some of them are most showing. Any ideas of where the problem might be coming from? Thanks again in advance, and I hope this will be my last question
Can you try the latest layout.css? It should fix all such issues
will do. Although i already made a lot of changes to the original layout.css. Will do a child theme and @import the new layout.css in the new one, so it can override the changed settings.
If the new layout.css fixes it, I will tell you exactly what I changed
Have the laundry list of changes been addressed? I don’t want to bother updating if there are still issues with the menus and the responsive nature of the images.
You can check the demo. If you notice any problems, please let me know and I’ll do my best to fix them as soon as possible.
I’m still seeing all of these issues and this is just getting absurd. What’s going on here?
Send me a wordpress admin account + a url + this message again via the contact form on my profile and I’ll take care of it.
email sent.
How do I change the background of the contact section? I’ve seen a few replies, but they aren’t very clear. Thank you.
This should be fixed in the latest update(the bg you have in the options panel will apply for contact as well). Add this to style.css if you don’t want to update:
contact .bg2 {
background-image: url(“link to your image”) !important; }
Lastly, I’ve noticed that several of the recent people that have posted their websites don’t have a logo in the menu anymore. Is this an option in a recent update? If not, is it easy to do? Below are two examples of what I am referring to. Thank you.
http://cidawards.com.au/ http://redtapedesign.com/reubentruckNot an option right now, I didn’t consider it such an important thing, you can add this to style.css:
span.logo { display: none !important; }
Hi there, Why aren’t you just using the wordpress standard menu function? what you have in the theme settings is really bad!
i can’t change the contact menu name to my language?
I also need a upload logo function, how many are having a letter as a logo in that font? i guess none…
Can you help me our there please…?
I didn’t use the standard wp nav menus because of the inner logo.
For the contact menu name, my mistake, I’ll make it translate-able via the po/mo language files. You can edit it in teoPanel/custom-functions.php:
echo '<li><a href="' . get_home_url() . '/#contact">Contact</a></li>' . PHP_EOL;For the logo, rename your logo to logo.png and upload it in the images folder of the theme, overwriting the current one: images/logo.png. To hide the letter, add this to style.css:
span.logotext { font-size: 0 !important; }
Nice one! thx.
upload of background feature isen’t working… i uploaded the picture and it’s showing in the themesettings but not on the site..
Hm, what’s your URL ?
The colorization option is not enabled, it needs to be enabled in order to change the bg image.
Somehow none of my font-changes are being picked up. I selected different type face from the drop down and have “Enable custom colorization & font changes?” enabled. Yet the typeface remains the same, while size and colour changes are being picked up ok. Please help.
What is your URL ?
Hi FinalDestiny, Can you please check your email and get back to me?
Thanks!
I will.
Hi FinalDesiny, i’m facing problems with the navigation. i can’t set the order of the navigation appearing on my website… plz help me with this prob…
thanks!
They’re ordered by the “Order” input field you see on the right area of the page, when you edit each page. Use numbers there and the theme will order using those numbers.
Hi. I’m using your theme and contact form isn’t working here. How do I fix it?
Are you using the website on a sub-domain?
What do you mean by a sub-domain? My site is hosted here: http://wad.com.br/guilherme
Go to js/contact-form.js and find:
jQuery.post(”../wp-content/themes/ViewPoint/index.php”, { name : name.val(), email : email.val(), comment : comment.val(), submit : “yes” }, function() {
replace it with:
jQuery.post(”../guilherme/wp-content/themes/themeforest-new/index.php”, { name : name.val(), email : email.val(), comment : comment.val(), submit : “yes” }, function() {
whenever you change the path to the theme or the folder, adjust the path there
