I have a couple of questions:

1. In the .css file, it asks to put in the url for “blueTitleBackground.jpg” however, I do not have that file.

2. How do I actually “install” this theme? I can usually figure this out, but I am stumped on this one.

Thanks.

Hi Matt,

Thank you for purchasing 5 in 1 Tumblr Theme.

You need to host the images that are supplied on either your own web hosting or on a website like www.photobucket.com this website will then give you a link to the image which you then post into the css where it says the image needs to go. If your really stumped then I could help you out by setting up a Photo Bucket account and adding the links to the css file then send you over the file again. You can email me direct at wildemedia@hotmail.co.uk

Kind Regards

Hello again,

Sorry I’m new to Theme Forest so wasn’t entirely sure how things work around here. I’m going to upload all the images to my personal Image Shack account the link all the images in the css file. So there will be an update this week. If you have more questions then please don’t hesitate to ask. Also did you find the help file useful or confusing? This is something else I can update.

I’m glad your managing to figure it out. The CSS file can either go into the custom css file or in the html file between tags.

After your comment I realised that my file is very complicated and I’m currently uploading the images to Tumblr self hosting service and condencing the files down to one HTML with the css added in for each colour theme. This way you only need to copy the code and it will work, without you having to host the images yourself.

Thanks for the update.

I have a few questions. In the sidebar, under the about me section – the buttons, when I add a page, it automatically adds a home button to the left column. (see linked image).

Also when I post an image, it copies the caption text into the header of the post, which runs over. It would be nice if it could truncate it. You can also see this in the image.

Hi thank you for the comment.

Ah… I see the problem with the Home button, it seems to be in the Page loop. Here is a quick fix till I can roll out another update, find the pages html markup and replace it with the code below:

{block:HasPages}
<div id="pages">
<div class="page">
<a href="/">Home</a> <!-- YOU CAN CUSTOMISE THE TITLE OF YOUR 'HOME' PAGE HERE -->
</div>
{block:Pages}
<div class="page">
<a href="{URL}">{Label}</a>
</div>
{/block:Pages}
</div>
{/block:HasPages}

You will notice that the Home button div is no longer in the {block:Pages} element.

As for the long post titles I will have to do a bit more testing for this, I’ll get back to you on that one.

Thank you so much for your comments and questions it’s going to help me to roll out more efficient Tumblr themes in the future.

It seems to be working fine on my Tumblr blog: Wilde Media Tumblr Blog

Did you delete all the code you had previously and paste in the new code?

Got it to work. For some reason, when pasting the code in & saving, the code kept reverting back without saving. After trying today, I got it to work. Thanks for your help.

Love the theme! Run into a couple of issues. Can we only edit the look and feel like text size and type in the custom HTML or can we use teh tools on TUMBLR . I tried using TUMBLR and it seemed to have broken the theme. But maybe it was just a fluke?

I put my Twittter account into the HTML and the main page link to my account works in teh right hand bar but the actual twitter feeds of my posts show up but they link to a weird twitter page (http://twitter.com/#" alt="" />/pjarmstrongaz/status/71330717916868610) or twitter page cannot be found.

My account le-tek.tumblr.com

Thanks.

Hi pjarmstrong,

Thank you for purchasing my Tumblr theme. I’m not quite sure what your trying to customise.. can you be more specific so I can then add this in to an update for you?

That Twitter bug has been plaguing my Tumblr themes. I will take a look over it and add some more functionality to the theme whilst I iron out the bugs. :)

I tried to change the very top title type at the top of the page – “Le-tek” but used Tumblrs tools to do it. It basically broke the page and I had to reload the HTML . So I’m guessing that is not a good way to change the type but instead should just use your css instead.

Thanks for looking at the other issue. Would be great if you could get it to work.

Thanks.
