It appears it was the IE6 warning option that was the problem I eluded to in my previous post. I turned that off and it’s working fine again. I’m using IE8 so this shouldn’t have been a problem. I wonder if there is an error with how you wrote that script?

I’ve found the error. You’re right, it’s a problem with the IE6 warning.

I’ll upload an update in a few minutes but if you don’t want to wait, do this:

Go to functions.php line 205 and edit <![endif] --> to <![endif]--> (a space has been removed)

This template can be translated into use in the Portuguese? I very want to buy more I am with this doubt

jayjdk

Yes. It comes with a default .po file. There’s a section in the documentation about the translation.

it is possible to modify the color of deep of sidebar?

jayjdk

What do you mean by that? You can change the sidebar background color and text color

yes, modify sidebar background color, and text color, this is possible?

jayjdk

Yes. If you don’t know how, contact me when you’ve bought the theme ;)

This is an incredible theme. It’s clean, light and solidly-built.

The code is beautiful and so is the excellent documentation. There are almost no ‘frills/bells/whistles’.

It’s focused and it works great.

Cheers JAYJ !

Thanks!

Can you send me the list of special classes like the “Error/Information/Download” styles like the ones shown in this page: http://wpthemes.jayj.dk/abandu/sample-page/

jayjdk

Sure

There’s .error, .warning, .download, .success, .box, .tip

You can use it like

<div class="warning">Text</div>

Neat! Cheers again :)

Demo link is not working, any chances to get it fixed?

Sorry, ignore the above post it was a browser error

My entire posts show on the homepage ?! In your example just the first few lines showed. How do I do that?

Version 2.0 will be released shortly after WordPress 3.4 is released which is soon.

Version 2.0 is online! Just go to your download page and download again to get the update.

Please notice that this version requires WordPress 3.4 which got released a few days ago

do you have any promotion or discount? :)

jayjdk

Sorry, no :(

Can I transfer from Cakifo smoothly? I like post format very much. and I posted lost of status posts. I wont lose those format.

Thanks, Maritn

Hello Martin,

You should be able to. Both Abandu and Cakifo supports the Status post format.

The only difference is that Cakifo adds a grey box around the text and puts an avatar to the right. If you want that in Abandu, just send me an email if you buy the theme and I’ll help you with that.

Hope that answers your question. If not, feel free to write again.

And furthermore, both theme supports the ‘Theme Layouts’ extension so you should be able to keep your theme layouts as well.

But Abandu doesn’t currently support 3-column layouts. If you want them, just send me an email and I’ll help you with that.

Hello jayjdk,

Have a few questions about changes in 1.3 in comparison with 2.0: 1) In 1.3 it was possible to remove header search box. Can’t find the same possibility now. 2) Author box that is displayed in the right column of post looks misaligned http://clip2net.com/s/2ve6F

jayjdk

Hello akuryan,

1) The search box: You should create a child theme (see documentation) and add this to the child theme style.css
.site-header .search { display: none; }
You’ll also see that the search form is used as an example in the documentation.

2) The author box: The author info was created to be in the “Single Post” widget-area – looks like I forgot to test it in the sidebar

You can add this styling to your child theme style.css:
.author-info .widget-title {
   margin-left: 0;
}

#author-description {
   padding: 0;
}

.author-info .avatar {
   margin-right: 15px;
}

Hope that helps you. If not, feel free to write again :)

I like what I see. You say the theme is “woocommerce ready”; does that mean that I have to buy some plug-in from someone else in order to build that piece? Or did you just not include a shopping page in your demo?

Thanks.

jayjdk

Thanks.

I didn’t include a shopping page but I have tested the theme with Woocommerce and I didn’t run into any problems. The theme won’t break in formatting when using the Woocommerce plugin as it uses a woocommerce.php file and there’s a widget-ready specific for Woocommerce pages.

I don’t really know what you mean by having to buy some plugin. Woocommerce is free and can be downloaded from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/woocommerce/ and you can find the Woocommerce documentation here: http://wcdocs.woothemes.com/

Hope that helps you. If not, feel free to write again.
