Hi,

To stop the slideshow from auto scrolling on the homepage, simply set the interval to 0 in the theme options.

Hi,

This is because the plugin ‘Advanced Social Widget’ is interfering with the javascript. This plugin is failing because it cannot find the ‘tipsy’ plugin, and it is causing the script that creates the mobile menu to not execute.

If you disable this plugin it should work.

Hi. First of all absolutely brilliant theme. A few quick questions:

1. I am having the same issue as RRCRAIN . The mobile dropdown menu is not showing up on my theme.

2. Can you enable video and photo under the portfolio header section? Would love to display them both at the same time.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback!

1. This is usually caused by an external plugin that is failing to load properly, resulting in other scripts not being executed. I would recommend disabling all plugins, then enabling them one by one and finding the culprit.

2. At the moment, the video does not display in the portfolio alongside the images. You will need to click into the post and view the video from there.

Thanks for the quick reply. 2 more quick questions.

1. Is there anyway to disable the “switch theme” button in the top right? I have no use for that button and it’s distracting from the rest of the beautiful site? Would love to disable it if possible.

2. Is there anyway to hide the “No Comments” and “Permalink” text that appears to the left of the portfolio section. I have no use for that text since I disabled comments and permalink in my posts. It causes confusion with it still showing up.

Hi,

1. Silly me forget to take that code out. I submitted an update, but all you need to do is go into custom.js and remove the block of code between / FOR DEMO ONLY / and / END DEMO /. If you do that, there is no need to update the theme this time.

2. You will need to go into single-portfolio.php, find the block of code with the class ‘wpMeta’ and remove the two list items with the classes ‘commentsIcon’ and ‘permalinkIcon’. That will remove them from the portfolio section.

Im curious to know what the file size of the full page images are. The PSDs were not included in the download as it says it was in the documentation. Is there a place I can download them from?

Hi,

For some reason the psd didn’t transfer over to the updated file. I’ll fix this ASAP . Images are not included in the PSD however because of limited copyright. A good size is 1600×900.

Hey Spacehead,

Trying to use the Theme Twitter Widget and Theme Portfolio Post Widget in my blog. It doesn’t seem to appear anywhere on the site.

Also, in your documentation it says that the logo looks best at height of 50px. When I add my logo to the theme at that height using a png file, the black box behind it drops down several pixels and is not even at all with the menu to its right. I have to resize my logo to be 21px high to have the black boxes all be even. But even with those boxes even, my logo is not centered in the box. Id like for mine to look like yours in the demo site. Here’s my site to see what im talking about.

Hi,

I see from your next post that you have found where the widgets appear. I’ll be adding options to show the blog sidebar on the blog page very soon.

With the logo, add this to the custom css box in the theme options:


header #logo a img {
     padding: 0;
     vertical-align:top;
}

That should make it fit with the 50px logo.

a bug report: when you scroll to the bottom of blog on the demo site and have all 28 items loaded, the footer covers up the black ‘read more’ area of the blog post on the right (when it’s 3-columns wide)

I’m definitely going to buy this once I can figure out what I want the home page to look like .. well done—a very nice not-so-genericized look

I figured out that the twitter feed and latest posts widget shows up on the individual post page rather than the blog page. Any chance of getting those widgets to show on the blog page too?

Also when creating a custom heading text on the blog page “Latest News” it didn’t show on the page. Instead it places whatever the latest posts title was. Is this a bug with the Blog Template?

The portfolio page shows the images and titles of the portfolios but when you click on any of them it says PAGE NOT FOUND . All of the permalinks are correct. Why is that?

You may need to resave the permalinks for the portfolios to work properly.

Go to ‘Settings->Permalinks’ and save again to fix the issue.

Just an update here, it seems like the whole blog template has some issues because it also does not permit me to change the default header, instead it just picks a title from one of the posts despite the fact that I put in my own.

Hi,

You need to create a page, assign it the blog page template, and select this as the front page in ‘Settings->Reading’. This will fix the issue.

Thank you for assisting me with all of the issues I was having. I was able to figure everything out with your help except the short codes which you said you will fix already and how to get the slideshow to play automatically. I have it set at 1000 (default) and it does not play automatically. It would be great if you could help me with that.

I appreciate your advice with the thumbnails it was very insightful. This is definitely one of the best themes I have seen and I am glad it is functioning as it was intended. You have done a great job. You can definitely expect a five star vote here as well as future business.

I’m considering buying Ablaze I have some questions first:

- The logo header, may be bigger? (this is important)

- You can put background images in the Blog?

- I noticed that from smartphones, the titles on the images are cut, can see it in the “Ferris wheel” seems not paginated.

Hi,

Yes the logo can be larger. It will fit any size image you insert from the theme options.

I am adding an option to customize the default background for all pages, so yes you can modify the blog background image.

I will investigate the third issue further.

I noticed that on macs the theme functions as intended however on windows computers ex. dell xps, sony vaio, the theme reverts to the default blue color and the vimeo videos on the portfolio do not show instead a black screen shows where they are supposed to play. Any advice/help?

I got the theme to display the correct color and vimeo videos on the windows computers finally by updating all of the flash players, so just in case somebody else has that problem that is the solution. Now the only issue I have left is getting the full page slider to play automatically.

It is at 1000 right now and it does not slide automatically. thanks in advance.
