First of all thank you very much for purchasing my template!!

I strongly suggest any update is more then welcome. The new Joomla 1.6 system has a built in update system. http://docs.joomla.org/Upgrading_from_an_existing_version

You should go into Extension Manager > Update Tab. Here click on Find updates. At this moment it will show you only the 1.7 update which isn’t ok from 1.6.3 for example to straight update to 1.7. You first have to update from 1.6.x to 1.6.5 and then after this to update to 1.7.

As i have seen here http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/frs/?action=index there is only a patch to update from 1.6.0 to 1.6.5 Joomla_1.6.0_to_1.6.5-Stable-Patch_Package.zip . Download this and extract it in your root, or extract to your computer and copy the files to your root through FTP .

After you done copying and updating to 1.6.5 you just have to go into Extension Manager > Update. Check the update for 1.7 and Update.

After you done updating, click again find updates and it will appear the latest gantry update. Also update this one too.

After this should work fine.

Good, I am considering the purchase and I have made some test with your Joomla 1.6 demo and I have found some small problem:

1) this forms don’t have css support (I think also login module but I cannot see it):

is different from other form (example newsletter form or dfcontact form http://www.myfile.ro/abrax16/index.php?option=com_dfcontact&view=dfcontact&Itemid=110)

I thinks all this form should have the some style and also all the button.

I looked inside that specific file and it kind of looks ok, i mean i don’t see any problem. What am i thinking is, perhaps the file is corrupt. Could you try overwriting that file again?

I’m sorry but i wouldn’t recomment buying it now because i haven’t yet tested the template on 1.7 (extensions compatibility). My plan was to check and update the theme next week. If it’s ok with you to wait a bit longer i would really appreciate but if not i totally understand you!

Yes you can set from administrator what color you want to set the site to. Those colors from the left panel are just set there as a demo.

Let’s see, have you extracted the contents of Abrax_with_joomla166_included.zip (Contains Joomla 1.6.6, abrax template, gantry framework and all the extensions) and followed the documentation steps?

The zip (Abrax_with_joomla166_included.zip) i provided in the downloaded file is actually a pack with Joomla, Abrax template, the gantry framework and all extension needed already installed and configured in it.

I made this pack because this method would provide you a 5 min quick install in which you will have an exact clone as my demo preview.

Installing the template separately, then the extensions, configuring them etc etc would take hours maybe days and gives more headaches. Anyway let me know if you want these files.

Or i could suggest you dropping an email (via my user page the contact form) with your ftp details and i will make you an quick install. (Also don’t forget to send me the mysql details so i can create the database).

As you can see in the end of this code, there’s “&Itemid=5 ”. You should change 5 with the itemid you want.

Sorry for that! I keep telling myself to update the documentation. That option is built in the template’s automatically created code.

So this solution will only remove the hover effect to some images you don’t need that glow.

If you want a solution to completly remove the hover effect copy this:

.rt-article img:hover {border:none !important; -webkit-box-shadow:none !important; -moz-box-shadow:none !important; box-shadow:none !important; }

Yes indeed the bullets are square because IE7 & IE8 doesn’t support rounded corners which modern browsers do. You could try adding an image background which also works in IE. Let’s see:

1) save this png from here http://www.hogash.com/files/sliderbullets.png and copy it into templates/abrax/images/ folder

The image is in and the spacing works great, but the two (2) non-selected circles are not showing, only the selected one (1). Can you suggest any fixes?

One thing I would like to do is be able to change the colour of the bullets. I’ve already changed them all to green (using the one image), so is there a way to have a second image/colour for #2 and a third for #3?

I will need the live site if you can, so i can use firebug to see clearly the rules. I will tell you the exact lines where to add/edit/remove code so it can be easier for you.

There is a way, but you’ll need to create custom css rules for each bullet and also a different color png bullet.

Yes it does, only now it’s slightly different. Go to Template Manager and you will see above the listed templates, 2 tabs/links (Styles, Templates). Click on Templates. You should see the templates listed with their preview image and right next to them, a link called Details, click it. Now you should see the css stylesheets listed on the right side and on the left side, the main page template (index.php).

The title of that article Welcome to Abrax you should find it in Article Manager. To also change the page title, go to Main Menu > Home > On the right side click on the 4th tab (Page Display Options) and you should see a field called Page title. The footer is actually a module, so go to Modules Manager, look for the module called Copyright and open it.

Open this stylesheet http://s373612644.mialojamiento.es/templates/abrax/css/djmenu.css , and look at line 3 you’ll have in that rule font-size:18px;

Change to the size you want. From what i have tested, for all menu items to fit you’ll need font-size:9px which is kind of small but you know better what to do in this case.

One other thing, in Template Manager > Abrax / Feature tab try to enable Auto-size Logo. It will autosize the logo at it’s sizes.

Or if you don’t want to autosize try to set the width & height in templates/abrax/css/template.css at line 1, there’s:

Sorry for my late answer i have been in a vacation this last week and now i’m back fully charged

I have decided not to include any new feature so i won’t release any new feature updates, only bugs if reported. So in case of bugs i will just a short documentation how to fix or file replacements depending on the case.

Most times you will have to update the gantry framework but that you can make through the Extension Manager > Update tab. (when updating an extension or anything please backup the website).
