Having issues implementing two external scripts. Seems to be some sort of conflict with JavaScript.

Item #1.) Add a rotating carousel to the Home page. Example: The rotating carousel script I am trying to implement is this one: http://sorgalla.com/projects/jcarousel/examples/static_simple.html Here is the main page for jCarousel which has very simple setup instructions: http://sorgalla.com/projects/jcarousel/

Another, yet very different, example called k3d Carousel. Neither scripts work when setup correctly. Double checked everything. Information and setup instructions on this script, named k3d Carousel, is located at: http://verens.com/2010/10/07/jquery-k3dcarousel-plugin/ I tried implementing both of these scripts separately and neither would work. I think there is some sort of conflict with jQuery / AJAX that is preventing them from loading at all.

Item #2.) Add a clickable CSS based map of the United States. I purchased the following script to accomplish this: http://cssmapsplugin.com/north-america/united-states.html However, again, even though all of the files are correctly placed, HTML code in place, the map still won’t show up – just like the rotating carousels. This includes .js files, .css files, images, etc. I double/triple checked paths, etc. Still, nothing works.

Must be something to do with the theme file…? I’m still not sure. Can you please help?

Note: JS is not minified in the theme. Tried it both ways. Still doesn’t work. Please help. Loyal customer. Thank you.

Hi Peerapong, I love this theme. I want to upgrade from version 1.6, and thought it be best to create a child theme (to make future upgrades easier), but I’m having trouble pinpointing which files I need to have in my child theme. I copied over the style.css (with changed/appropriate header info) and the css folder to my child theme directory, but when I activate it the formatting is lost. Obviously I’m missing something. I would appreciate any help on this. Thank you!

I just lost my rotating home page images upon upgrading to WP3.5. Do you know why this might have happened or what I can do to get it fixed?

First of all, very nice theme!

Then my issues.

The menu background moved about 50 px down on all pages except for the home page. So its not perfectly aligned with the menu anymore. You replied in an other post that the cause could be to many topmenus. I’ve deselected them but still no succes.

then on the home page. i’ve made a new page called home and this one is viewed twice. i’m sure i’ve done somthing wrong but i cant find it

Same problem as erostad – home slider stopped working with the upgrade to 3.5.

Also having a problem with the jQuery slider in 3.5… It also seems that the theme itself is not allowing me to modify widgets anymore. If i switch to a default theme, I can edit widgets again, but switching back to Accent, I lose all drag & drop and dropdown functionality in the Dashboard. Please help!

I have the current theme Version 1.6 and i see the new version is 1.8

can you let me know which files are needed to be updated so that we can upgrade to new version. We have used custom code in many files hence uploading everything would make things a little difficult for us.

Sorry if this is covered in the comments, I couldnt find it in the documentation anywhere – is there some way to disable the slider on the home page without mass modifying the theme / CSS stuff? Thanks! Great theme.

Button problem—I used the shortcode generator to make the following button.

The button displays and is clickable (no action), and the button text is html and the “onclick” call.

For those having trouble with the jquery slider option after updating to WordPress 3.5 and even with the 1.8 version of the theme, a temporary fix is to copy and rename a file…

The theme is looking for jquery.bxSlider.js in /wp-content/themes/Accent/js however the file there does not have a capital S and thus it is not found. Because I don’t know if the slider is used elsewhere, I first copied the original, and then renamed the copy including the capital S shown above, and it worked.

Note to theme dev: I’m not a customer, but was helping a customer of yours get his site back in order. Please take a look at your code and correct the capitalization issue so that others can more readily get things back in order. -Thanks

Note: just noticed that with this “fix” the lower left dots do not highlight the current image/slide, so an official fix would hopefully take care of this.

how do you update this theme without running into any issues, ?

Using the Kwick’s accordion slider. Is there a way to disable the links (any links) from the images. I don’t want the slides to link to anything.

Hi, I have setup a live site with this template and have created a user with author and a user with editor rights. When i create a new post or try to edit a page with these users, it says under shortcode generator, user does not have permission. I am having problems with the slider. WP 3.5, Theme version 1.8. I have read all of the discussion and tried absolutely everything you have listed in all of your replies.

I have thoroughly read the manual – its just not working.

Hi peerapong. The photos on the Demo slide, can they freely be used on other sites or is it just for this Demo?

If it requires payment, then how do I go about? Those photos are just great.
