I keep coming back to this theme! I asked before about Tim Thumb script, not so much about security concerns. I have purchased a couple of themes that use Tim Thumb, my images are being cropped right side and bottom, this is a problem for me, my images are of financial charts with price scale on right time scale on the bottom.
I have contacted the developers they have no solution for Tim Thumb cropping right and bottom of my images. Do you have a solution for this problem with your theme? My last question is the height of the home page slider adjustable? I would love to purchase your theme, I think it’s a work of art!
Hi Nick,
For the Portfolio/Galleries section where Timthumb is used, we have included an option to select how the image will be cropped. By default the image is cropped from the center, but you have also several other options depending on the image orientation – we have included a screenshot of this option here (the “Selecting how to crop the thumbnail” section). There is also an option to include your custom thumbnail image, rather than having it automatically cropped.
Regarding the slider size – by default the there isn’t an option to change the slider height, so a few code modifications will be needed.

Hi, I love your Theme. My only problem that a top part, where the logo goes, needs to be a bit longer in height. I measured around ~68pixel I want this to be 90 pixel so my logo better readable. Which code do I need to change? Thanks so much.

In the Logo section where the logo image can be uploaded, we have also included options to set your custom logo size, so you can set whatever logo size you like in there.
Have you tested this theme with either Gravity Forms or CForms II?

We haven’t tested the theme with these plugins (there are thousands of plugins, we can’t test all of them), but the theme is built according to the best plugin compatibility practices, so everything should be okay with using the plugin you like
I LOVE this theme. I really need a gallery with only one column though so it can be used on my photography blog. Is there a way to change it on this theme or do you have another that you have designed that would work?

If you need a gallery with one column, I think the easiest way to accomplish this is just to insert full width images in a standard page template – you don’t need a special template in order to insert full width images.
Are there any file permissions I need to set for this theme? And is there any particular free FTP program you would recommend when I need one?

In the gallery, are we able to have albums? For eg (you click on one thumbnail and it pops up a gallery in the modal) I just want to be able to have each thumbnail as an album.

It is possible to set the thumbnail a clicking action to be redirected to either the content of the portfolio item where you can insert a quick gallery or to another gallery page where you can insert more images for the album, but there isn’t an option to have another gallery in pop up. I hope this will work for you.
Thank you for the Acoustic theme! I am new to Word Press and this theme is so easy! I knew what I wanted and had it in my mind and had been looking for themes for over two weeks until I found this theme.
Now, since I bought it, I have been experimenting with colors, style… etc. But now I want to go back to the default style/color of the theme and I am stuck not knowing how to do it.
As I said previously, I am new to WP but there must be a place where one can go to go back to the default theme/style to reset it.

Potential Customer Here – I keep coming back to your theme. I love the customizable galleries. But I had a few questions…
Does the pagination of the gallery items allow for something other than circles? (Can a numbering system be substituted or a “prev” and “next”?)
And second, can you specify how many items show on the page before pagination occurs?

Thank you for the interest
The bullet pagination is created by images, so if you want – you can replace the circles with another image you like (otherwise there isn’t an option to include numbers). And regarding “prev” and “next” navigation – if you haven’t noticed this – there are arrows on the sides that accomplish this functionality.
And regarding the second question – yes, you can specify the number of items per page.
Hiya, I am another potential customer. I just love this theme. From the demos it will do all I want it to do for a life coaching site. What I need to know is if it is compatible with Buddy Press plugin because i also want to have a members only area. Where member login and can access certain areas and this area is not open to everyone else.
If not do you have any suggestions how I could do this?
Also can I configure it so that my social networking icons and like buttons are on each page?

Regarding the social buttons – as you can see, we have added a section for social buttons in the footer section which is displayed on every page – I hope this is what you need

Yes, you can do that – for each showcase page you create, you can select a different category of items to display on it.
Really nice theme, both from design and functionality perspective.
The only important thing missing is a place in the header (over the menu bar) that could be used for e.g.” search box” or “flags for switching to another language”, or “displaying the phone-nr”.
Is it possible to make it in the next update?
This is an on-demand functionality that must clients require. It will also make a higher sale of the theme.

We have designed the theme so that you can insert all these widgets/info in the widgetized footer, where they would be still functional and would look nice with the theme and in the same time keep the header section simple and clean, by containing the main navigation links for the site.
Anyway, I will keep your request in mind for the future updates of the theme.

I’ve 3 potential clients and the problem is that all of them want a “language switcher” on the top of the page.
Would be nice if you could add a space/widget or option in the theme option page for this purpose. The header section could still be simple and clean.

If the language plugin provides a function for displaying the switcher, adding it to the header would be pretty easy – you just would have to call it in the header.php file – even we have already posted instructions about inserting contact info in the header on our support forum

I guess you have uploaded the whole zip file that you have downloaded, and this is not correct as it contains not only the theme, but PSD files, documentation, etc. You have to unzip the file and upload the theme zip only.

Is the Tim Thumb security issue corrected in Acoustic?
Yes, this issue doesn’t exist with Acoustic theme.
Guys, i need your urgent help! Is it possible to modify accordion slider to open state, when user enters the website?! I mean when user enters the website, and he sees accordion slider, with one image in open state, while the other images remain un-open and user need to hover on them… Need this answer a.s.a.p because i need to buy the theme by today, so i can finish off my project! Tried other theme from wordpress.org and had no luck, and it had similar accordion slider. Thanks in advance!

We have already provided instructions about how to do this for the Dandelion theme on our support forum here. For the Acoustic theme the change would be the same, only the file to modify is js/slider-accordion.js

2) Is it possible to add some other social buttons to the lightbox picture (not only twitter and facebook)?

Thank you for the interest, I’m glad you like the theme
1) For this you would have to use a sharing plugin and this really depends on the plugin itself. I know such plugins provide an option to be added to each post – so for the blog page, everything should be okay. For the showcase page I’m not sure how this would work, as it is not a standard static page – it loads all the content dynamically.
2) The lightbox plugin (PrettyPhoto) provides an option to include additional buttons with HTML code, so if you have the HTML code for the buttons you would like to add, we can provide instructions about you how to do this on our support forum.
3) Each portfolio item is created in a separate portfolio section (similarly to creating posts). For adding images we have included an upload functionality for easier image setup.

And another one question. Is it possible to change speed for zoom slider?
The whole slider image animation and positioning strongly depends on the animation speed, so we haven’t included such an option.
