Uh oh! You mentioned there this has Google Fonts integration, however, there’s nothing mentioned in the user guide (and it doesn’t appear to work with Google Fonts). You might like Raleway font, but I don’t—and it seems like it’s hardwired into quite a few files. =(

I went to http://www.google.com/fonts/#UsePlace:use to see if it works with Google Fonts… and tried all three different ways from part three.

Can you please update the template so it does work with Google Fonts and provide instructions on how to let us select any Google Font we’d like? Thank you.

Using Google Fonts is quite simple, just choose the font you want from google web fonts and the click the ‘use’ tab. Then paste the link to the style sheet (as given by google in the ‘use’ tab) into the head of index.html. Now open foundation.css and do a find and replace ‘Raleway’ for your chosen font name (if you’re not sure what this is, it will also appear in the ‘use’ tab on google fonts.

Naturally the font is hard coded in as this is a HTML template so there is no options/ control panel.
if you have trouble with any of this feel free to email me at craiggarner800@gmail.com and I will be happy to take a look at your code :) thanks for purchasing Adept

no worries Miachael, looks good. thanks for purchasing :)!

Hello,

I just purchased your theme, and I tried to upload it to wordpress.

I received the following error: The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

EDIT: I am uploading the zip file I downloaded upon purchasing, with no changes to the file. I also opened the zip to make sure the style.css file IS in fact within the zip, and it is, one of several inside the “stylesheets” folder.

How can I fix this problem?

Thank you!

Hi Reid, thankyou for purchasing but I’m afriad Adept isn’t actually a Wordpress theme, it is an HTML template. This means that it requires basic knowledge of both HTML and CSS in order to customize.
I apologise if this isn’t the answer you were looking for..

Oh haha that’s dumb of me. Thanks for letting me know!

Hi Craig,

Great template!

I can’t get “view projects” to work when I add new project. I did changed the id and data-reveal id. After the clicking, it showed the pop up page but no content. Do you know why and what can I do?

Thank you

Hi,

Nice template. Question, how do I disable the “swinging” animation of photo picture as you scroll down the page?

Thanks.

medium_rare

Hello, thanks for purchasing :) just open scripts.js and remove the function labelled: home photo scroll effect

Thanks Craig for the prompt response.

One more question, there is this approx 2cm gap between the navigation bar and the first 2 boxes i.e. a 2cm gap between DIV.navi and SECTION#home.row

Do you think there is any way I could go about reducing this 2cm gap to 0.5cm?

Hey mate, would you be able to send me a link to your site so I can see what you mean? Craiggarner800@gmail.com

Hi Craig, Really nice theme, thanks for that work. I found how to change the colors thanks to your diffrents answers here, but I’ve a problem with “Adding projects”. I’ve copied the project1 block of code from the index.html and renamed it to project2 and changed the data-reveal attribute as you explain in the user-guide, but it didn’t work. Can you help me please ? And I’ve an antoher problem with the link about the button “Download Resume”.

Hello Graig, I just send it on your adress. tx.

Ok, I found where the problem is. It should be added a closed div at the end of each new project.

Good stuff :)

How can i disable the projects tab and remove all of the projects area?

medium_rare

Just delete them from the HTML, and be sure to remove the projects section from the menu :)

How to configure the contact form? So the data from the contact form will be sent to an email address, right?

Hi Craig, great template! However, I can’t get the contact form to work. I changed the email adress in the mail.php file to the right email adress. When I test the contact form, I do not get the green success message (like in the preview of your template) but after clicking the send-button, the page scrolls up to the top of the page and the message does not get send. Do you have any idea what could be the problem?

Peaked Purchased

hi, bought the template but having issues creating a second project slider. When I create data-reveal-id=”project2” the slider opens only to a black screen and does not function correctly. Anyone have this issue that can point me in the right directions? and yes, I have referred to the user-guide but I’m still stuck – thanks!

medium_rare

Thanks for letting us have a look. At the bottom of the page code where your projects are located, it looks like you’re nesting a div called project-1 inside a div called project-1. You’ll need to make sure the second one is called project-2 – as there can only be one div with the same ID on a page. Make sure the second one (project-2) is not nested inside project-1 and it should work fine…
