Great looking theme.
Does the To-Do list actually work out of the box (can a user add an item with the button) or is it just “for show?”
Same question with the Calendar in the demo.

no, it’s just HTML and CSS , just styling. Calendar is based on jQuery Datepicker http://jqueryui.com/demos/datepicker/
