Common WordPress Installation Issues

Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

Frequently Asked Questions

I receive something like this error when I am viewing the theme: Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_option_tree() in /usr/home/web/website/wp-content/themes/adventure/header.php on line 5.

I am receiving multiple errors when activating the theme.

This is because your server couldn’t allow an install of a plugin via code. The solution is to simply upload the missing plugin manually as you would with any wordpress plugin. The whereabouts of the plugin folder in your download and how to install it are in the instructions below.

Install Required Plugin

Is there a folder called option-tree-phoenix in the plugins folder in your wordpress install after theme activation?

If NOT then follow the steps below…. Go into the adventure folder, then open the p_framework folder you will find a folder a called option-tree-phoenix.

Upload or move that folder to the plugins folder in your wordpress install.

Activate The Plugin called Phoenix Theme Options.

Proceed to OptionTree > Settings > Import to complete the installation and install the theme options.

Im having problems with browser resizing images.

Heres the fix, open footer.php: Replace this:

$(document).ready(function () {

// Making sure lightbox responds.

with this:
