I need to ask a quick question.
I watched a quick video of this theme and notice that the settings have been marked under Agility.
Can you please advise if this can be changed so that the Agility tag is removed and my own custom setting name is added.
That’s something you’d need to edit the theme in order to accomplish.
Hi. Can I put HTML in the Slider, Specifically a gravity form?
No, sorry, the slider can only display images, video, and text.
i’m about to order you theme.
I notice a bug to stop me from placing my order.
Can you CONFIRM if this is fix in the release I order.
On an iphone.
In a page like Blog + Standar Blog Layout.
Flip from portrait to landscape.
Everyting work fine.
When flip back to portrait. BUG .
Large black bar on the right side.
Other then this your theme look and feel AWESOME .
Thanks for your interest in Agility
I just checked out that page on an iPhone, an iPod Touch, the iOS simulator, and an iPad, and everything worked properly for me. I noticed that there is a black bar when you rotate the phone – this lasts momentarily (it’s the background being exposed), before the browser processes the responsive resize. That’s simply a function of how the browser renders the change via media query, and isn’t a bug.
If there’s something else you’d like me to take a look at, feel free to send me an email from my profile page and I’ll be happy to take a look.
Hmm, unfortunately, I can’t recreate this issue (here’s a video of me trying, you can see it works properly for me on these 3 iOS devices + the simulator http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp7TY1U77Aw ).
However, I know some versions of iOS Safari have issues with handling overflow properly, so I have a hunch what the problem you’re seeing might be caused by. I’ve uploaded an updated stylesheet to the demo which I believe may resolve the issue you’re seeing – would you like to test that and let me know if it helps? (Make sure to refresh a few times to clear your browser cache). Thanks!
Thank you so much for you help.
You FIX it with your update.
I’m no longer able to recreate the issues.
Thank you so much Chris.
I just purchase your theme.
The update that you did on the Demo.
Will it be already in the version I just download.
Should I wait for a new release…
Great! Glad to hear that resolved it
It takes a few days for the update to be approved (it needs to be reviewed by ThemeForest first), but in the meantime if you want to either post in the Support Forum or send me an email via my contact form, I’ll send you the updated stylesheet.
Thanks for helping me get that kink worked out!
looking forward to buy your excellent theme.
But I would like to know: Is it possible to turn off the “responsive”-function for this site in general. Maybe I will need this feature.
Thanks and best regards,
Thanks for your interest in Agility! Sorry, there’s no automatic switch in Agility to turn off responsiveness – you’d need to remove the media queries from the stylesheets.
Hi, I hope you have a simple solution.
I have built a site using agaility. I made a homepage slider and all works great. Now 3 weeks later, I want to add another slide to the homepage slider but when I click on “set featured image” I get greeted with this error Fatal error:
Call to a member function add_menu() on a non-object in /home/linlan0/public_html/wp-content/themes/evergreen/functions.php on line 993
I tried replacing just the functions.php file and nothing changed. I then deactivated the theme and uploaded the latest version of Agility (via ftp overwriting the old files) then activated the theme again, and still the same problem persists. So I am unable to make slides now!!! ???
Please can you help?
Please see the note in the update section of the guide which explains the issue. Upgrading to 2.0 should resolve this (it has for all other users), but if you are still encountering issues, please post in the Support Forum and we will investigate it Note that that function no longer exists in the Agility 2.0 functions.php file, so if you still get that exact error, it means your upgrade has not succeeded in overwriting the old files (specifically functions.php) properly.
I just purchased theme ,
can I get actual XML data file ?
( because in the archive package I didn`t get many pages , like home – alternate . portfolio Movie posters and many others )
Thanks for your purchase The XML file included with the theme does include Home – Alternate, Movie portfolio, etc (I just checked the XML source to be sure). Perhaps your import did not execute properly (for example, if the placeholder image site is not currently accessible, the import might fail temporarily)?
If you have any further questions, please be sure to post them in the Support Forum and we can help you out there – thanks!
Ah, I see you already got it sorted out in the forum – glad to hear it!
thank you so much for quick support !
I can not find home-video control panel, how do I?
Thanks for purchasing Agility! All support is provided through the support forums. Please open a thread there and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible – don’t forget to post a link to your site so we can investigate any issues!
Hey Guys – we just went to update the logo graphic on our site for http://fryergood.org and I’m getting the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function add_menu() on a non-object in /home/content/38/9631438/html/wp-content/themes/agility/functions.php on line 993
I’ve already broken the site once trying to fix the code, so I’m a little gunshy. Can you see what is missing/incorrect about the functions.php file and let me know how to fix it please? Thanks!
Please upgrade to v2 and read the note on this issue here: http://agility.sevenspark.com/help/#update-version_2 – and please use the support forum for any further inquiries, especially as I am currently abroad and cannot monitor these comments easily – thanks!
There is wonderfull and powerfull theme!
Smart admin backend ! Great potencial.
Easy to use ( if reading manual )
Thanks a lot.
You’re very welcome! Thanks for your kind words, really glad to hear you’re enjoying the theme!
please, help me with the archieves tempate images. The photo occupy all width. How i can quit the image into archieve template? see: http://revista.requiemambria.com/?author=2
This is because of your Visual Composer plugin – it hasn’t prefixed its CSS classes, so it is breaking the Agility layout by setting the images to be 940px wide.
I would not recommend using that plugin, but if you must, you can probably overcome this conflict with this custom CSS :
If you have any further questions, please be sure to post them in the Support Forum – thanks.
Is your theme compatible with the FoxyPress? I understand I’ll need to replicate some of the styling for FoxyPress to match the theme design – just wanted to know if there were any known issues.
I’ve never used FoxyPress before, so it hasn’t been tested – but there are no known compatibility issues
Can we upgrade to WP 3.5?
Yup! I’ve upgraded and tested haven’t encountered any issues – of course if you do run into anything, just post in the forum and we’ll get it sorted out ASAP
Thanks a lot
Does this theme support breadcrumbs?
That’s not an included feature, but there are a few plugins out there that will handle breadcrumbs (I would try Yoast SEO. I haven’t tested the theme with any specific one, however.
PrettyPhoto is pretty annoying in the wordpress theme. I’d much prefer to use the jQuery colorbox plugin. Please change Agility so that it’s easy to disable prettyphoto. And/Or let me know how to easily disable it without editing the parent theme.
You can enable or disable the lightbox right in the Agility Control Panel > Images & Videos.
Thanks, Chris, but that doesn’t help. The class and data-rel are still added to images that are inserted into pages and posts AND the js is still in the header and footer.
My temporary solution is that I added a new filter to my child theme’s functions.php:
$html = preg_replace(’/prettyPhoto/’,’’,$html);
add_filter(‘image_send_to_editor’, ‘remove_prettyphoto’, 11, 1);
But I’d prefer a way to remove prettyPhoto from the theme entirely, js and all, with an on/off switch in the settings.
If you want to just insert an image without a lightbox, simply remove the link/URL before inserting the image into your page.
Or just remove the Agility filter altogether:
add_action( 'init' , 'remove_send_to_editor_filter' );
remove_filter('image_send_to_editor', 'agility_image_send_to_editor_filter', 10, 8);
You can’t remove the actual prettyPhoto function call without editing agility.js (so you’ll end up with a runtime error to resolve), but you can remove the plugin script easily with this.
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'remove_prettyphoto_script' , 20 );
wp_dequeue_script( 'prettyPhoto' );
Again, if you have any further questions, you must post them in the Support Forum in order to receive support. Thank you.
I have only ever found one other theme that does this, other than a framework. 1. Using the ability to create custom sidebars, can I use bricklayer to put four containers/bricks (based on watching your video’s, 16 cols) in a row anywhere in the content area? (like above everything on the page for example). 2. Can we customize background images using the theme, or is that done only by modifying css. 3. Do you have a specific area for inserting custom css.
1. I’m not sure exactly what you’re trying to accomplish, but you can add custom sidebar Bricks to your BrickLayer layout however you like, in any of the blueprint areas. You can order the Bricks however you like in the layout, but they are all contained in the “BrickLayer Layout” area (see the diagrams in the BrickLayer section of the support guide for reference). In other words, you can’t replace the header or the footer on the page using BrickLayer.
Also note that to include the actual content you add in the Page itself, you would add a Page Content Brick to the BrickLayer Layout. You could place that above or below (or beside) your Custom Sidebar Bricks.
2. You would customize background images using CSS.
3. Yes, there is a Control Panel setting for adding CSS tweaks. However, if you are making significant changes I would always recommend the WordPress best practice of using a Child Theme. See the Customizations section of the guide for more details on customizations.
Hope that helps!
This template works fine with visual composer? I love the theme but must have that option.
If not please tell me how to do it,
Thanks for your interest in Agility I’m not sure about compatibility with Visual Composer, but Agility comes with its own visual layout builder called “BrickLayer”. It works a bit differently, but allows you do accomplish a lot of the same things. You might like to look at the BrickLayer Video Tutorials to see whether that suits your needs.
Hope that helps!
1. I like more Visual Composer, sorry.
2. About it integration with qTranslate, do you have any feedback about the theme compatibility?
3. Skype Icon do you have it?
1. No need to apologize, just understand that the built-in version will always be more compatible with the theme than the third party plugin, especially on a responsive site. I just want to make sure you understand that I can’t make any guarantees as to how well that plugin will work, and I can’t support third party plugins to that extent. I would always expect some style incompatibilities with such plugins.
2. I have not had any experience with qTranslate (haven’t had any reported issues, either). Agility is translation-ready, so I assume there shouldn’t be any compatibility issues.
3. Yes, Agility uses Font Awesome More icons, which includes Skype
I just want to let you know that i do love your theme and to work with it after several months, it is still on of my best.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much for your kind words! Really glad to hear you’re continuing to enjoy the theme!
