Today I visited my client’s website and realized the slider had stopped working in Chrome. I followed the update instructions and I have to say I’m quite disappointed with the new design. We want design we paid for – the one in the screenshot of the theme with the gradient background, logo/tagline/search on top, the menu under the slider and the big arrows for the slider.

The files we have (1.3) do not contain a custom.js file but I tried adding the custom.js and new style.css anyway. The slider still doesn’t work.

What needs to be changed and where to make the theme work while keeping the design we want?

Thank you.

PS. The theme (and new design) is still great and easy to use. I do recommend your themes frequently.

I really appreciate that! :-)

Hi,

Great theme, currently looking for one as I volunteer for the organization that I support.

Just a comment, the testimonial from MeenaInc is a bit offensive:

“Love it! Great theme! You have to be borderline brain dead or blind to get lost using this theme…great job on another great theme!” – MeenaInc

What if you have people looking for a theme to support a cause to assist the blind or a community supoprting a fellow neighbour clinically brain dead but supporting the cause to keep him/her alive?

Just the first thought that came to mind, odd testimonial to find in a charity product page. I understand MeenaInc may not have made the comment with bad intentions, but as a testimonial I think it’s not appropriate.

Thanks.

Hi,

May i ask the gallery page can we manage by album instead of showing all photos on the gallery?

example, i got 10 photo albums, each album got 50 photos?

2nd question, the top slider with earth map background can we change to other pic/design? or just can change the bg color only?

thanks.

theMOLITOR

Hi there,

One option is to create a page for each “album” and just link to them from a “Gallery” drop down menu item.

Keep in mind, the gallery you’re referring to is the standard WordPress gallery. There are LOTS of plugins that extend functionality for built-in features of WordPress, so I’m sure there is something out there that does this as well.

Regarding the slider, yes, there’s a theme option to upload your own background pattern for the slider.

Hope that helps.

Chris

Hi, Am considering buying this theme. Its really a great theme but I haven’t handled wordpress before and I want to know if I can be able to customize and administer the theme without hiring an administrator for this.

theMOLITOR

Hi there,

WordPress let’s you easily control basic stuff like creating pages and news items. The theme also has some theme options for adding a logo and changing the accent colors.

Hope that helps.

Does this theme support RTL?

theMOLITOR

Hi there,

Thanks for your interest in Aid!

Currently this theme does not have a RTL stylesheet, but there is a Custom CSS box on the Customize page that let’s you easily add your own unique styling.

Chris

I have purchased and used the Aid theme 1.0 for quite a while now. I am wanting to upgrade to 2.0. Can I just load this over the top of 1.0 without concern? What issues will I have?

Hi there,

Please review this FAQ thread on my support forum: http://www.themolitor.com/forums/topic/faq-how-do-i-update-my-theme

FYI, I don’t see that you purchased this theme (no “purchased” tag next your name). To avoid suspicion, it’s best to ask support-related questions with the same account that you used to purchase the theme ;-)

Hi Chris,

Nice looking theme. Can it be translated to Hebrew? (Hebrew goes from right to left).

Thanks! Yidalin

theMOLITOR

Hi there,

The theme is localized (translation ready), but currently only an LTR-based stylesheet is included with the theme.

Hi,

I’ve been trying to look for my purchase code here on the website so I can go to the forum but I can’t see it. I only saw the order no., and transaction ID.

My question regarding the theme is that how come even though i place no image for my logo. It still shows the default wordpress aid on the upper left most part of the website.

Thanks!

Hi, I like this theme. I would like to exclude sponsors in the list of the last post widget. What can I do for this ? Thanks a lot

theMOLITOR

Hi there,

The WordPress post widget doesn’t have any options to restrict the categories like that, but there are lots of free plugins that do this. I recommend doing a plugin search for something like “advanced recent posts” etc.

If you need additional help or have questions, please post a thread on my support forums: http://themolitor.com/forums

friends,

Looking Theme.

I will develop a website. Help some homes-for-charity. Each house has its needs, its projects. I ask: Can I register a Paypal account for each individual home-from-charity? Not a general account for all. One for each home.

Or yet. For each project a different Paypal account, is it possible? Not only one for all projects. Is it possible?

I await comments. Thank you. Mauricio Tab.

theMOLITOR

Hi there,

Just to clarify… Aid has a single “Donate” button feature that you have full control of. You can either (1) link it directly to a PayPal donation page or (2) you can direct it to a page on your site where you list all the donation options available.

From what I can gather, option #2 sounds like what you want to do.

Hope that helps.

Best,

Chris
