Today I visited my client’s website and realized the slider had stopped working in Chrome. I followed the update instructions and I have to say I’m quite disappointed with the new design. We want design we paid for – the one in the screenshot of the theme with the gradient background, logo/tagline/search on top, the menu under the slider and the big arrows for the slider.

The files we have (1.3) do not contain a custom.js file but I tried adding the custom.js and new style.css anyway. The slider still doesn’t work.

What needs to be changed and where to make the theme work while keeping the design we want?

Thank you.

Hi there,

Sorry you’re not happy with the redesign. The logo, tagline and search are still all in the top space of the new design, just handled differently. The main reason for the new design was to make the theme perform better responsively and on high-resolution displays (i.e. Apple’s retina monitors).

That said, please post a thread on my support forums and I’ll be happy to provide instructions to apply the Chrome fix to the version of the theme you’re using: http://themolitor.com/forums

Thank you for reply. I have submitted a thread on the support forums.

I have to say – it’s not that I don’t like the new design, it’s that I loved the old design. The new design, how to customized it, etc are all very nice features and it does look nice. If I wasn’t in love with the old design, I wouldn’t have any issue with the new design.

I’d also like to say that as the developer, you’ve always been helpful and I do really appreciate it. Thank you.

PS. The theme (and new design) is still great and easy to use. I do recommend your themes frequently.

Hi,

Great theme, currently looking for one as I volunteer for the organization that I support.

Just a comment, the testimonial from MeenaInc is a bit offensive:

“Love it! Great theme! You have to be borderline brain dead or blind to get lost using this theme…great job on another great theme!” – MeenaInc

What if you have people looking for a theme to support a cause to assist the blind or a community supoprting a fellow neighbour clinically brain dead but supporting the cause to keep him/her alive?

Just the first thought that came to mind, odd testimonial to find in a charity product page. I understand MeenaInc may not have made the comment with bad intentions, but as a testimonial I think it’s not appropriate.

Thanks.

I use an old version of WPaid on my clients site (http://www.colegiopositivo.com/). The slider stopped to work. No errors eppear. Chrome display some warning about a deprecated method [event.returnedValue]. I think the jquery update is screwing every thing. Did Anyone have this problem?

Hi,

May i ask the gallery page can we manage by album instead of showing all photos on the gallery?

example, i got 10 photo albums, each album got 50 photos?

2nd question, the top slider with earth map background can we change to other pic/design? or just can change the bg color only?

thanks.

theMOLITOR

Hi there,

One option is to create a page for each “album” and just link to them from a “Gallery” drop down menu item.

Keep in mind, the gallery you’re referring to is the standard WordPress gallery. There are LOTS of plugins that extend functionality for built-in features of WordPress, so I’m sure there is something out there that does this as well.

Regarding the slider, yes, there’s a theme option to upload your own background pattern for the slider.

Hope that helps.

Best,

Chris
