blog doesn’t work
For now, there’s only the blog layout included. The blog wasn’t the main purpose of the vcard, but more of an addon. Anyway, we’ll add the blog post as well, as soon as possible.
Nice Work ! Good Luck
Amazing website ! GLWS
Can I add videos into the portfolio section?
Thank your for your feedback! Right now, adding videos is not possible without modifications, but we think it’s something that many people would like, so we’ll try add the functionality as soon as possible.
Is it possible to link images to a video site, like vimeo, then?
Also, when you add that functionality, am I able to just upgrade it or would I have to purchase again?
Okay, I just realised this is not a WP theme. I have very limited html knowledge. Would you be converting this to WP in the future?
We’ll definitely convert this to a WordPress theme, we just can’t promise an exact timeframe. As for this item, we’ll be adding very soon the video functionality within the gallery and all updates are free for existing buyers.
That’s awesome. Thank you so much!
Can’t wait for the update.
I’ve finally bought the theme and am very happy with it. I’ve just got a few customisation questions with regards to the portfolio section. As it is, I’m not very well-versed with HTML.
1. Is it possible to randomly sort the portfolio items, without having to manually change its order in the html?
2. I know it is not possible to add videos yet but is it possible to link it to an outside source, say Vimeo or YouTube, for example?
3. What determines the size of each item thumbnail? Is that customisable?
Appreciate your help and patience!
Thank you for purchasing.
1. Unfortunately, no.
2. The video update will allow you to do that, it’s just delayed for few more days.
3. The thumbnails are actually fluid in size. It’s because the template is responsive and has to accomodate different resolutions down to a phone. You’re only interested in the largest version of the thumbnail and you can see those on a resolution of over 1200px wide. The images will scale down automatically to fit smaller screens.
Thank you for your patience.
Any news on the video update?
I think you missed it, it’s available to download for some time and TF should have sent you an email letting you know there’s an update as soon as it was approved.
Anyway, check out the live demo (preview).
It must have skipped my mail.
Anyway, I saw the demo. Looks great! How should I go about doing the update now?
You can download the latest package from your account -> downloads section, like you did after you purchased.
if i replace the old template with the new updated one, will my settings change?
Unfortunately, on this kind of template there’s not much automation we could do for an easy update process. So, you would have to do it manually.
Get the new version, but don’t overwrite the old one. Instead, apply your customizations again, one by one on the new version.
Sorry, but it has to be this way.
I’ve got all the files uploaded to my server and can access the website – granted it looks like the demo. I can’t change or modify anything, there is no documentation on how to do it.
Thank you for purchasing. As this is not a WordPress or any other CMS for that matter, but it’s a pure HTML template, everything is editable, but modifying it requires HTML knowledge.
If you don’t have the HTML knowledge to edit the template, you really have two options: either start learning HTML from one of the vast sources of HTML tutorials out there (just google it), or you hire/ask someone that already knows it’s way around HTML and will modify it for you.
We’re sorry if this is not the answer you were looking for, but we can’t possibly start teaching everyone HTML.
If you have any other questions, please let us know.
Sorry I want to apologize. I’ve been using wordpress for a while and haven’t edited a regular HTML page in a while. I happen to know the language very well, but got confused about what bootstrap is etc.. I now realize everything is stored in the index.html page and can be updated there. Just have one question, what program do you recommend editing the template with? I have dreamweaver, but every time I open the html page it freezes and I can’t do anything
You should try Notepad++ it’s nice and simple. We personally use eclipse PDT zend edition, but it’s a lot more complicated.
Good stuff. Got a question regarding the contact section. How does one set the recipient email address?
Thank you for your feedback. As this is a HTML template, the contact section is not functional as it is. It requires you to implement the functionality using a scripting language of your choosing, like PHP. We might implement this for your convenience with future updates. We’re also thinking about converting this to WordPress, so it will be a lot more easy to manage.
I was looking to buy this theme but not being able to add videos is a problem. Is there anyway to “tweak” the original code to work with videos on popup?
Well, how urgent is it? We could release an update by the end of this week with support for videos.
Really, this week? I can wait surely. Or I can get it now and then you give the code or something to change it?
However you like, updates are free for existing buyers.
Ok cool, thank you guys. Such fast answer only shows how loyal you are to this project. I’ll buy it as soon as the update goes live
Hi, I just purchased the theme – not really using any of the blog sections but I do have a question about the google map at the bottom – could you tell me how to customize it to show a different location than the demo?
Also I know it’s not a working contact form, but could you maybe recommend me some resources I could use to get it working? I am sure I could figure out some workaround or work out some PHP but I always like asking the developer if they have any favourite techniques or go-to PHP resources they prefer in their designs that you could share.
Thank you for purchasing! To change the gmaps location, you will need to know the coordinates, latitude/longitude. Once you have those, find line 54 in theme/scripts/load.js and replace the coordinates there with your own.
var map_latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(47.06285,21.943721);
Here’s a tool for finding lat/lng:
http://universimmedia.pagesperso-orange.fr/geo/loc.htm or just google it like this.
For the contact form, we’d definitely use PHP and SMTP and we’d probably use Zend’s mail component, but Zend might not be the best/easy solution for you. We suggest try google for “php email form” or just click here. You’ll find plenty of tutorials.
Hope this helped,
I just bought this theme, it’s fantastic! I was wondering how it is that I make an external link? Currently when I click on one and specify the full address, eg. http://www.google.com , it doesn’t load.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
We would need to see the HTML code for the link that doesn’t work and also we’d have to know where it’s located, in what context. Is it in the main menu?
Thanks for the reply, here is the code which is located in the side menu bar (the black region).
The link in question is for going to “index.php” and is in the code below
<div class="container left-menu">
<div id="menu" class="hidden-phone">
<span class="img"><img src="http://dummyimage.com/74x74/232323/ffffff&text=photo" alt="Mr. Awesome" /></span>
<a class="glyphicons user" href="index.php" rel="external"><i />Home</a>
<a class="glyphicons iphone_shake" href="#contact"><i />Log out</a>
<a href="index.php" rel="external" class="btn btn-block btn-primary btn-large glyphicons home hire-me">Home<span>back to all projects</span><i /></a>
First, please accept our apoligies for the considerable delay. We had so many requests last week, we accidentaly marked yours as answered and had the impression it was solved all this time, until now when someone else posted the same question and realised the mistake.
$('#menu a').not('[data-toggle]').click(function(e) ...
And then add the class “external” to every menu item (to the A – anchor element) that you want to exclude.
No problem, thanks for the work around! I was also wondering, how do I change the default colour of the page? Is there a class I need to add or?
To make a skin default, in PHP version, index.php:
// change true to false
defined('SKIN_JS') || define('SKIN_JS', true);
// change false to "blue-gray" or any other skin filename
defined('SKIN_CUSTOM') || define('SKIN_CUSTOM', false);
To remove the Themer, find and remove the following from the footer section (footer.php in PHP version):
<!-- Themer -->
var themerPrimaryColor = '#71c39a';
<script src="<?php echo getURL(); ?>theme/scripts/themer.js"></script>
In HTML version, just load the skin CSS file (all skins are located in theme/skins/css/) AFTER the main style.css in the head section of the header.
If we can be of any further assistance, please let us know. Thank you.
We would like to apologise for our last comment. There is no PHP version available for this item, as it’s just a one page template and we just realised the mistake we made in the other comment (this is the only item we don’t offer a PHP version).
Except the PHP part, the instructions for removing the themer and loading a skin as default, are valid.
Thank you for your understanding.
I like the people who write all “Libraries & Plugins”
and a +1 for the theme
Any solution regarding videos on the portfolio? Thanks!
The update should be available for download in 1-2 days.
Nice template. Congrats! Good luck with your sales!
This is a very nice template.
I am having the same issues as sotirios9.
Instead of working with the anchors as menulinks i have edited the files to work with external php-files in the menulinks.
When i replace the menu-anchors with ordinary links to .php-files the links don’t work anymore.
Links placed in non-menu area’s work correctly.
Hi Mosaicpro, works like a charm! All of my external links work correct now.
Great! Glad we could help. Let us know if anything else comes along.
This is a silly question, but would you mind going step by step installing the theme? I have had a lot of problems (no CSS stylesheet, template is missing etc). Thanks in advance!
Once you download the package have a look at the folder called theme.
Inside the folder are all the styling, images, icons etc….
If you need any more help let us know.
Thanks for your reply. I’ve found the theme folder, but I’m having trouble uploading and installing it to Wordpress through the dashboard. When I upload the theme folder by itself it says ‘Broken themes – Stylesheet is missing.’ Any advice would be great. Thanks.
I think you’ve made a mistake.
AIR Business Card is a regular Site Template (HTML/CSS) and not a Wordpress Theme.
We are in the process of making it Wordpress but we can’t give an exact timeframe.
Ah okay. No worries. Thanks for your help!
Is there a war we can display the theme without the menu? I’m trying to find out if it is possible to embed your design with another theme. Here is a print screen of what I’m talking about: http://oi47.tinypic.com/2ijp6hj.jpg
Let me know,
<div id="menu" class="hidden-phone">
entirely and it’s contents and you’ll probably want to remove the toggle button for the menu as well:
<!-- Menu Toggle on mobile -->
<button type="button" class="btn btn-navbar main" data-spy="affix" data-offset-top="50">
<span class="icon-bar" />
<span class="icon-bar" />
<span class="icon-bar" />
<div class="separator" />
You can find all these in the header section.
If we may be of any further assistance, please let us know.
Hi there !
You have a great product here and I can’t wait to use it live. I have 2 questions here if I may :
1- I can’t seem to change the zoom factor for the map. Whatever value i put in there has no impact. I use the “zoom” attribute in “map_options” in load.js. I’m able to change everything else but not the zoom.
2- What is the best practice to apply a preset theme. I added the contents of “blue-gray.css” at the end of the “style.min.css” file and it seems to work but it doesn’t feel like the intended way.
Thanks in advance and sorry for these rookie questions.
Thank you for purchasing and for your appreciation.
1. To change the zoom, you need to find these lines in load.js and make your modification here:
// Contact Page Google Maps
if ($('#contact_gmap').size() > 0 && typeof google != 'undefined')
map_options.zoom = 15;
2. Sure, you can do it that way, or you could just load it in the header’s HEAD section of the template, after the main style.min.css
If we may be of any further assistance, please let us know.
Hello, I am unable to find any details about what download package would consist of? It looks like all html code is in one file. Is it possible to have in seperate pages? Also can I new links to the left panel with its corresponding section? I really need to get my website up and running this week so your quick response is much appreciated.
Thank you for your interest. Yes, this is a one-page template, but it’s easy enough to separate the sections into multiple files, some of our buyers have done this already. You just need to:
- duplicate the index.html into as many files as you wish and rename them
- remove from each file what you don’t need, so all that remains is just the section you need
- modify the links in the main menu (in each file) so they link to the new files
You could do this in less than an hour.
Sounds good but few more questions though ,
1) Can’t figure out where/how to set the default theme?
2) Get rid of theme selector!
3) Which folders to upload in live site.
4) If i remove the image on right side, besides personal information, page loses it’s look and feel. Please let me know exactly which do I need to remove?
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
Why would you need to remove any folders? Just upload the whole package.
To set a default theme, just load one of the existing skin files (they’re located in theme/skins/css/ folder) in the template’s header HEAD section, after the main stylesheet, like this:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="theme/skins/css/skin-name.css" />
And if you’d like to use a custom color from the themer, just copy the CSS code from the Themer, create a new skin CSS file (in the same location with the other skins) and paste the code in it, the load it just like in the example above.
To remove the themer, just find and remove the reference to themer.js from the template’s footer.
