First one to comment! You are on top of it! Thanks, Bryce ;-)

Hi

DO you have any sample data i can import please/

ThemeBlvd

Sure, send me a message through my profile page.

I’m getting lots of errors when viewing the demo site

Bear with us! This has nothing to do with the theme. Our server is overloaded from all the recent traffic we’ve been getting all around. My hosting company tells us our memory usage is full and currently using swap memory. We’re working on upgrading our dedicated plan to the next level. But for now you can most likely catch the demo if a million other people aren’t viewing our sites at the exact same time that you are :-)

Oh I love responsive.. Great theme by the way, Good luck with the sales.

ThemeBlvd

Thanks!

To my apparently untrained eye, I can’t spot enough difference between this new theme and your other two themes “Alyeska” and “Swagger”.

Sure they look different in the demos but being all based on the same framework what prevents them from all being able to look like each other given the incredibility flexibility the framework you’re providing adds to each theme?

The product descriptions also appear to me to be near identical. Is it just me? I think it would be helpful if you would call out specific attributes or features that are exclusive to a particular theme. If there aren’t any then that makes sense too.

I realize that people may purchase these different theme merely based on appearance regardless of whether they could be made to look like one another. This is especially if they would never be able to do it themselves even though it might not involve (much of) any coding / css work. :-)

Form is well represented here but what about function? I’d like more detail on the latter if possible / available. Deciding between these three is somewhat problematic without that info. Why buy one over another aside from appearance alone? However, just based on looks…”Alyeska” would probably be my favorite. Help me decide. Thanks!

ThemeBlvd

You re 100% right, but have it all wrong :-)

So, what’s the differs Akita from Swagger, Arcadian, Alyeska, Barely Corporate, Breakout, and Primtime other than the design? Practically nothing, and that’s the point, my friend. Yes, my themes are on the same framework, and share all the same awesome features. That’s the beauty of using a Theme Blvd theme. The only real difference between them is the design and the stylistic options (which you can see by clicking the links to the theme options screenshots at the top of each item page). So, learn how to use one and you’ll know how to use them all.

What about function? Ease up a bit, take a breathe. They all have the same functionality, so there’s no need to go spending hours comparing features, you’re with Theme Blvd now.

So what are you left with? – A design built on an awesome framework. Which design do you like the best? Which design fits the needs of the site you’re trying to create?

Understood. Then the answer for me is “Alyeska” then. Thanks. :-)

ThemeBlvd

Awesome! Indulge and dive in ;-)

Hi

On the Tabs you can use for the Homepage you have said you can use basic HTML but I need to us div as well or at least span but when I make the custom CSS and add the code it still doesnt work any ideas?

Check your validation output(errors) and try to add some custom widgets like (recent posts with image or partners widget) . Anyway, this is an awesome theme, very flexible! Thanks!

I like the showcase blogger setup, just a question though, is it possible in the slider for it to show a featured blog post? Or would you just do this manually? Thanks!

ThemeBlvd

Sorry but currently you can only setup a custom slider. It will not automatically pull posts.

I do have plans to make a plugin in the future though that can be added onto all my themes to dynamically pull posts for the slider. Make sure to keep checking here as I continue to post more plugins:

Great theme as always Mr Bobich. :)

Hi there! Nice thema, juste purchased!!!

Menu is a probleme for me, maybe you’ve a solution cause menu apparence is look like header (mean: block or classic dont work…) any idea to solve that?

Thx!

ThemeBlvd

Can you be a little more specific? I’m not quite sure what you’re asking? The style of the menu is controlled from Appearance > Theme Options > Styles. Maybe you can give me some more info about your problem? Are you trying to say this option isn’t working for you?

Jason:

Just purchased the Akita theme. I do SEO and analytics consulting with WordPress as the primary platform. Responsive design themes are a great way to focus on my core business and provide multi-device site support to clients on a core SEO sandbox. Your work in delivering this theme and the Theme Blvd 2.0 framework is astounding. Looks like custom backgrounds for boxed layouts is a no-brainer to go with your color wheel and background textures, too. I am sure to find out more in the coming days when I dig into the theme and framework. It’s also the only responsive theme I’ve seen to-date providing a full navigation menu and submenus in the smallest screen sizes. What an achievement that is. Great job and fortune for your work. TDR :)

ThemeBlvd

Awesome, glad to hear it! Thanks :-)

Awesome! I was wondering if there is a way to have non-rounded top/right and top/left corners in the boxed version.

Thx for quick reply.

Using Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools I have searched something like “radius” in order to do what you suggested. I have found many “radius” items. Despite to my effort to restrict searching on ‘nav’ element and its css elements, I haven’t had no luck. Do you have any suggestion on what css element I have to change to do what I wont? Thanks.

ThemeBlvd

You may want to checkout that video tutorial on how to use Firebug. I’ll give you this one because I can tell you’re trying to find it, but don’t expect any more customizations if you do actually buy the theme, deal?

Theme Support Defined: http://themeblvd.com/support/#section-3

#access {
    -moz-border-radius-topleft: 0;
    -moz-border-radius-topright: 0;
    -webkit-border-top-left-radius: 0;
    -webkit-border-top-right-radius: 0;
    border-top-left-radius: 0;
    border-top-right-radius: 0;
}

nice work. For a homepage image aligned left or right the background color is the same as the menu. Can this be changed? I might want a teal menu color but I would never want to write a slide description with that color background. I like how aleska uses a white background for text next to images aligned left or right.

ThemeBlvd

Nope sorry that option corresponds to that color choice in your admin panel. This would be a CSS customization you’d need to make to the theme.

For CSS changes, it’s a good idea to use a tool like firebug or Google Chrome’s built-in developer tools to locate them and then put the edits either in your child theme or in the “Custom CSS ” option on your theme options page.

Also, here’s a helpful tutorial on how to use Firebug – http://vimeo.com/20917974. The only thing I’d suggest not doing is actually making edits to the theme’s CSS files, as it shows at the end of that video. However, the video serves as a good introduction to Firebug and how it can be used to find what CSS is effecting certain areas of your site without ever digging around in any files.

Default-user

I use firebug but this change does not seem to be a simple delete one hex code and add another. Does your support forum support minor CSS tweaks of this nature? Thanks

ThemeBlvd

Sorry but no this is not part of the support I offer.

Continuing to verify if this theme satisfy my needs, I have checked out this url http://www.themeblvd.com/demo/akita/ (without frame) on W3C markup validator service finding 67 Errors and 11 warning(s), so I was wondering if the theme code itself (without content) is HTML5 valid. Thanks again.

ThemeBlvd

We’re in the HTML5 age. This isn’t 2007. The days of obsessing over W3C ’s validator are over, my friend. HTML5 validation is still in the experimental stage and is ever-evolving. You just can’t obsess over it.

If you want a well-coded theme built on an awesome framework with tons of features, go with this theme. If not, that’s okay, too. I’m not going to lie to you make a sale.

Default-user

Thanks for superfast reply and for your support. You know: I don’t doubt on excellent work you have done. All the best. Carlo

What code would you use if you wanted to make a slider with an image aligned left but with your own HTML on the right (I am planning to put an email form on the right)

ThemeBlvd

Did you purchase this theme? :-)

Planning to if it will work. I already have Aleska and I want to do the same thing on both themes

ThemeBlvd

The slider in both themes is exactly the same.

One more quick question. Is it possible to display full width pictures from the featured image on single post pages such as on this page: http://www.themeblvd.com/demo/akita/2011/10/12/young-blonde-sitting-by-the-road/

ThemeBlvd

Yes. That is a single post you’re linking to.

You can change it site-wide for all posts form your Theme Options or you can change it for individual posts under your Post Options on editing a single post.

I will be buying this theme by the weekend! Just a simple question, what font is the logo in! Thanks

ThemeBlvd

It’s Pablo’s new font, Kaushan.

Hi Is Akita your latest theme? Is it possible to put in my own custom backrounds?? Great theme, I have your complexity theme and love it.

http://fulginitivo.com/
ThemeBlvd

Yup, just posted it this morning. And yes, this theme does support WordPress background control. So you can put in a custom background under Appearance > Background.

Very nice!
