Is there a way to turn off responsiveness? I’d like my website to look the same on mobile devices as it does on the computer. The responsive feature is cutting my logo off on mobile devices.

I’m afraid there’s no option to control responsiveness in the theme functions. The layout is adaptive and the way it looks at the mobile devices can’t be changed.
But hypothetically it’s possible – you can try to disable responsiveness in the code. Just find this line in style.css (3155 in our demo):
/* ---------- Mobile (Note: Design for a width less than 541px) ---------- */
And delete all further code including this line – right to the end of the file.

The slider function in the admin menu has completely stopped working. I can click create / edit slider. When i click upload it just dims the screen but does not prompt for the upload or select image. Please Advise ASAP.

Hi. It’s hard to say what happened. What version have you been using? Is it the recent one 1.2? If not, please, update the theme.

There’s a detailed documentation. You can easily elaborate your site after studying our “How to”. The appropriate file permissions should be set to 777. Please, make sure you’ve set them.

If you follow our instructions carefully, but the problem persists, then most likely this issue causes one of your plugins. Please, try to disable all the plugins, and activate this theme again.
If it doesn’t work, feel free to turn to our support guys.

I buyed this theme some time ago and my site was hacked because it contain upload scripts which are not secured.

Problem: those files can be easily exploited to upload malicious code to the site.

If you followed all the appropriate instructions carefully and keep the theme up to date, be sure, that your site is safe. Otherwise you should update the theme to the latest 1.2 version.

We did everything to make our theme as safe as possible and will continue taking steps on theme improvement further.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that what ‘eeecorona’ was saying above was correct… I designed a website using Ambleside 1.0 initially.. Site has been hacked 3 times.

So, now I’ve updated all Wordpress and updated to your latest Ambleside 1.2 version… And there’s a virus in one of the files.

The file is as stated about in theme folder: Ambleside/images/warning.php

What is the purpose of this file. And why is it infected? Will the theme function ok without it? As I’ve deleted it immediately from the site

Also, I’m curious to see what patch ‘eeercona’ is talking about above.. I really don’t want any more issues with hackers etc. Do you know any fix.

Have you submitted a ticket like we asked you? If so could you, please, provide its number?

During the last few days we have received several complaints about ZenDesk system not sending email notifications regarding the support tickets submitted. This is probably connected in a some way to the last updates to ZenDesk system.

I think you haven’t updated the theme.

To update the theme, please, follow to your Downloads tab on Themeforest and click “download” and get the fresh theme archive. Then follow to the Fix_1.2 folder and open README.txt, you’ll find the instruction on update there. Basically you should replace some files at your server. But please, make a backup beforehand – just in case. If you have made some code changes in style.css, the update can harm your customization. You should copy changed code to the new file.

Hi, ever since the upgrade of this theme.. my visual editor isn’t working in Wordpress. By not working I mean the editor is white so I can’t see text…

I know it’s the theme because when I deactivate the theme and revert to TwentyEleven it works…

Noticed a bug in the mobile device dropdown menu system. If there is a hierarchy of About Us > Our Team etc…The initial Link for ABout us does not go the link assigned rather it opens up the secondary drop down. Is there a fix for this? Also, is there a way to resize the logo for mobile device?

Also, the navigation system is really buggy if you have a lot of menu items. If the screen resolution is less than 1024 it will extend the navigation beyond the body container. on your demo you only have 5 items which makes it render correctly on an ipad but if you have more than 5 it does not look good on anything less than widescreen display.

Also, there is no resizing of images to fit the responsiveness of the theme. Here is a plugin for those with the same problem : http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-responsive-images/

I’m not quite sure I understand what exactly you mean, but as far as i can assume, it’s about a navigation menu dropdown, right? The menu item can have a link and dropdown on desktop versions – on our demo site it has none, but on some touch devices it won’t call the dropdown then, as they recognize only one option: either link, or dropdown.

The navigation system can’t be changed, we can advice you do not use many menu items and place your links into submenu dropdowns if possible. Also you can configure your menu fonts and make your text smaller, or use <br />. That’s how we do it on our demos.

As about logo – it’s not responsive and can’t be adopted for mobile devices separately, you should consider the device typical width to achieve the best look of your logo on small resolutions.

The responsive images can be added using class “fullwidth” in Advanced image settings. Please, set for all images CSS class fullwidth. And you might need to delete the image Height parameter in from all images – see the screenshot.

This theme is still not working for me.. Issues I’m having include:

- Visual Editor not working also - admin rights not working. I can only submit page/post for review even though I have full admin privaliges in everything.s

This has happened ever since your new theme upgrade. I know it’s the theme as I’ve tried installing this theme in a fresh Wordpress version and same things is happening. I think has something to do with the tables your theme has installed in MySQL. but not sure why.

Please can someone get in touch with me asap about resolving this issue or I’d like a refund. I have been talking to an ‘Alex’ via email. and he hasn’t got back in touch with me. Please if this cannot be resolved by tomorrow I need a refund so I can get another theme that works. This has been going on for 20 days now (as per my post above). My last contact with Alex was 2 weeks ago.

what can i ask my hosts is there anything I can do.. After waiting a month, they no longer want to wait and have requested purchase of a new theme. I’ve been asked to do design a new website with new theme this weekend. So if cannot be done tonight please issue a refund as this is not working.
