Hi There,

I was trying to create a URL link for an article. As you know in order to do so, you have to link the article to a menu item, and I do not want this menu item to be shown for sure. So I created an article which is link to a menu item in the ‘hidden menu’ which is not shown anywhere. Somehow, I constantly keep getting the word “Article’ at the top of the page, right above the title of the article. I tried to play around with all the article and menu display options, it doesnt seem to fix the problem. Also breadcrumb module is not working on this article as well. But if I try link the very same article to the ‘Main menu’, I dnt get the word ‘Article’ at the top, also the breadcrumb works fine.

Is it something which I am not doing right?

Cheers

Jackie

Hi Jackie,

Thank you very much for purchasing!

Could you please send me an url of that page?

Thank you!

Hi ! Great Template. Look I feel stupid asking and I admit, I didn’t look through 13 pages of comments before writing, but I can’t find a login module. Can you offer any hints on how front end logins are done ? Cheers in advance, David.

Hi David,

You can simply create a new Login Module in Module Manager. You have plenty module positions in which you can publish it (check the modules positions page).

Thanks!

I just want to know if i purchase this template, is it a theme that you upload into your joomla installation or does this work on a other way.

I’ve been trying to find out by reading comments and supports, but can’t find a clear answer, as this is my first buy.

Hi Tahir,

Thank you for your interest!

Inside the pack you will download you can find 2 ways to install.

1) Quickinstall. This is basically a full clone as my demo previews. It means it has Joomla, components, extensions, settings etc already installed. You just need to unzip this one on your server, create a fresh database and then follow the quick install steps.

2) Standalone version. This one you have to go to Extension manager and install the template, components etc everything from there. Then you will need to create each module etc by your own.

I strongly recommend the Quickinstall method, it’s easy and you have everything already installed, you just have to modify. The standalone version i recommend only if you already have a website that’s populated with content.

If you have problems please post inside the support forums http://support.hogash.com and my colleague Daniel will help you to install it :)

Hope you have an excellent week!

Hello Marius, I pretty much got everything set up on the site but have 2 questions i need your help on. 1) Can search page have its own page? because when you search from the home page, it shows result under the slideshow and i do not want that. can the results be shown on another page. Please advice. 2) on the home page i only have the slideshow, swapper and footer. there is a large white space below footer. Which css do i need to modify to delete the white space? please advice. Thanks, Derek

Hi Derek,

I’m really glad it’s about to be finished!

Let’s see:

1) Yes, please open the Search Module (from module manager) and inside the ItemID field, please add the itemid you want. At this moment, the search module (not haveing this itemid set) doesn’t know where to go and shows the results on the homepage. Please have a look at other content page from your website, get it’s itemid and add it inside the searchg mod.

2) I will need the link for this to have a look to study with Firebug (i highly recommend you using it http://www.hogash.com/why-i-love-and-recommend-you-firebug/)

Cheers!

Hi Marius,

I’m having problems getting the template to render correctly on mobile devises. It does not display all the content on the homepage and the navigation menu only shows the first three links. Can you help?

www.thefruittree.co.uk

Thanks

hogash

Hi there,

Let’s see:

Indeed the navigation is showing only the first 3 links but you can scroll them. That’s the way this menu works. Please tap the menu and swipe it to the left/right and you will see :)

In regards to the content now showing, that’s because the mobile template is minimal and doesn;t show all the modules from the homepage (only if you add them with aliases in template manager > ammon > mobile tab). Currently there’s no text because most likely the default menu item (home) is pointing to featured articles. So now, basically you can either write some content (custom html module) and publish it in mobile-showcase or mobile-maintop etc. or you can just disable the mobile template and the website will display as it does on desktop computers.

Hope this helped!

Marius

Regarding the question I asked earlier “I was trying to create a URL link for an article. Here’s the link to the problematic page. http://decorbellini.co.nz/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=55

Further to the questions I just asked. I have tested the system a bit more myself. Any page which is access through its own link from page editing, would result a page mentioned above, i.e. with the word ‘articles’ at the top, and breadcrumb is not functioning. Only if the page the access through a visible menu link everything would work.

scratch the question i just asked. problem solved. cheers

Sorry for my delay Jackie!

Glad you solved them!

Hey Marius, Thank you. But we can still see the scroll at the bottom. Can we not get rid of that? One Last Question. Please see this URL

http://elk.arvixe.com/~xteraunx/RAD/index.php/resources/blog

I have put a custom Header on this page. I have done this for a few pages to make it flow with the rest of the site. But when i do that, the Sidebar goes down and does not start on the top from the heading as the rest of the pages. Is there something simple that can be done to raise the side bar up only on those pages? If you can help me with that, the site would be uniform. And i won’t bother you :). Thanks Marius Regards Derek

Hmm, i see, could you please try adding these rules (delete the other one i sent you yesterday):
.menu-home .bg-transparent {display: none;}
.menu-home #slideshow {height: 745px;}
.menu-home #slideshow .shadow-up,
.menu-home #swappers {bottom:63px;}
.menu-home .btnPanel,
.menu-home .plusSlider-controls-wrapper {bottom:140px;}

In regards to your other question, how i see there’s no header. Can you please republish it so i can firebug it? Thanks!

Marius

Marius,

Does Ammon support K2?

Thanks!

hogash

Hi there,

Sure it does, the whole idea is that i haven’t included built-in styles for K2 so it will only have it’s generic styles, which is very good because you can personalize as you like it :)

Best regards,

Marius

Hi Marius, Thanks. The code for the Home Page worked. And for the other question, i did post the link on the question. Here it is again

thx

hogash

Hi @eljauzaa,

After your purchase i will guide you with several steps and also i will point you some tutorials.

Thank you very much for your interest!

Hi Marius,

first of all congrats for this really cool template! I’m new to Joomla and after searching around for days which template would fit best to my new project I decided to buy yours – and so far I’m glad I did!

I already posted the next lines in your support forum but it seems to be silent there at the moment; I urgently need some advice because of a presentation at my client. So here we go again:

- How to get the colorbox run from a thumbnail image linked to the big image? The documentations says “So in order to add a link with colorbox pop-up, just add this attribute: rel=”colorbox” to the link.” I can’t get it work: a single thumbnail image inside of an article opens up in a seperate window though the image’s link has rel=”colorbox” included. A gallery works.

- A menu item is defined as type “Featured Articles” / All Categories but doesn’t show any featured article at all.

Thanks for help & best regards Claus

hogash

Hey Claus,

Thank you very much, i’m also glad you choosed this one!

Let’s see, first of all make sure you have Colorbox lightbox in Template Manager > Ammon > Style tab. Then, could you add class=”colorbox” to the a link, for example
<a href="link to big image" class="colorbox"><img src="link to thumb" /></a>
I think it should work.

For the featured articles problem, first go to Template manager > ammon > Advanced tab and make sure the setting called DIsplay Component is ON. Then, make sure you have marked several articles as Featured.

Hope these help!

Again, thank you,

Marius

Hi Marius,

thanks for your help – it is working now … but you may think about changing the documentation where it says to use rel=”colorbox” though class is needed ;)

Have a nice day Claus

Hi hogash,

I have a question : How change the color of main menu ?

Thanks

hogash

Hi @Flash_fre,

There isn’t a setting in admin for this, however you can make the change in css. Please open templates/ammon/css/template.css and starting from line 608 you have the header & menu’s rules.

If you want i can send you the proper code to do this, just let me know what color code you want (hex code).

Thank you very much ! Don’t trouble I will find ;)

Thank for your answer ! (y)

I really like your work, I have purchased one of you templates before and I loved it. I am interested in making a purchase again but I have a question about the Portfolio Showcase that is available on this template, is this also available for the other templates?

hogash

Hi there @shazer7,

Thank you for your interest! Unfortunately no, only on this template.

Regards,

Marius

Hi Marius, sorry to bother you again.

I’m trying to get the portfolio showcase module to work. It does show up on the page but appears broken with no interactivity, shreenshot below:

www.thefruittree.co.uk/portfolio-screenshot.png

Any idea what is wrong?

Thanks for all your help. I appreciate it.

hogash

Hey @bributcher, no problem!

I think there’s js problem there. Please tell me, do you have Colorbox enabled in Template settings > ammon > Style tab – Colorbox Lightbox option (should be ON).

You can also give me the link of the website, i will imediatly figure it out once i check the js error in the console, so it would be better if you can send me the link.

Thanks!

Hello, where can i edit the text from de mobile mainpage??

Greets

hogash

Hi @kurzreini,

You can edit the mobile homepage\s text by going to Modules Manager > Mobile Homepage Content (it’s positioned inside mobile-maintop position).
