Hi,

The DivisionWP promo video is the latest video with the Frontend Builder in action, but this video doesn’t show the 2.0 interface. By the end of this week we’ll record some footage and share it online. You can check this video at this link http://youtu.be/JRD7x18eKW8

Hello, I’m currently using your Anivia Theme on my website, and I need to update to the latest version of the frontend builder / theme.

Currently my theme is v1.1 and I purchased it in January, and the Frontend Builder is v1.3.

Could you help me update both the theme and the builder?

I only want my admins to be able to see the frintend builder link in the edit screen and on front end. Right now even contributors see that. How can I do that. BTW, I did not upgrade yet as we have customized it a bit and will do after some time.

This would be one of the best theme’s on TF if you were to design custom BuddyPress pages for it. From what I have seen, BP will work fine on it but the basic look of BP isn’t the most appealing. If you took the time to integrate it you would rock it! (just sayin)...

Br0

Hi,

Thanks for the great feedback and suggestion, adding full BuddyPress support to Anivia theme is already on the suggestions list for some of the following updates of the theme.

Great theme, guys. But is there any possibility to show category name instead of dropdown tags on the magazine layout page?

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

It’s possible to do that, but you’ll have to edit the code a little bit. Find the file anivia_content-magazine.php and modify the following code:

 <?php
   $tags = get_the_tags();
   if ( $tags ) {
    shuffle( $tags );
    $mag_tags = '';
    foreach ( $tags as $tag ) {
     $tag_link = get_tag_link( $tag->term_id );

     $mag_tags .= "<div class="mag_tag"><a href="{$tag_link}" title="{$tag->name} Tag" class="{$tag->slug}">";
     $mag_tags .= "{$tag->name}</a><span class="tag_block" /></div>";
    }
    echo $mag_tags;
   }
  ?>

to:

 <?php
   $tags = get_the_category();
   if ( $tags ) {
    shuffle( $tags );
    $mag_tags = '';
    foreach ( $tags as $tag ) {
     $tag_link = get_category_link($category[0]->term_id);

     $mag_tags .= "<div class="mag_tag"><a href="{$tag_link}" title="{$tag->name} Tag" class="{$tag->slug}">";
     $mag_tags .= "{$tag->name}</a><span class="tag_block" /></div>";
    }
    echo $mag_tags;
   }
  ?>

You can also apply the changes in a child theme.

If you have any more clarification, feel free to contact us.

King regards.

Unfortunately, your code doesn’t work :(

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

Sorry, try with:

 <?php
   $tags = get_the_category();
   if ( $tags ) {
    shuffle( $tags );
    $mag_tags = '';
    foreach ( $tags as $tag ) {
     $tag_link = get_category_link($tag[0]->term_id);

     $mag_tags .= "<div class="mag_tag"><a href="{$tag_link}" title="{$tag->name} Tag" class="{$tag->slug}">";
     $mag_tags .= "{$tag->name}</a><span class="tag_block" /></div>";
    }
    echo $mag_tags;
   }
  ?>

Kind regards,
Br0

mmm… well, there’s no difference at all

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

The difference between the last two snippets of code is in this two lines:

$tag_link = get_category_link($category[0]->term_id);

and

$tag_link = get_category_link($tag[0]->term_id);

Only the name of the variable is changed, but that will enable the functionality that you want.

Great theme, guys. But some questions: is there any possibility to show category name instead of dropdown tags on the magazine layout page? And why there is no support for cyrillic fonts? (I’ve tried to change it in many ways, but nothing’s changed)

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

1. That should be possible, but you’ll have to either modify the theme files or build a child theme. You’ll have to modify “Masonry posts” element (former “Magazine Fluid Posts” element) If you need help with finding what and to change, feel free to ask, we’ll be glad to help and give you the necessary directions.

2. You’ll just have to change Google font, in theme’s options page in dashboard, to a font that support Cyrillic characters, and you can freely build your page/post content after that.

Kind regards,
Br0

Default-user

Thanks for reply, but 1. when i’ve try change tag to cat all site ruins (so i really need your help) 2. the only working cyrillic – is lobster (weird enough), other fonts which support cyrillic don’t work at all (that’s the problem I’ve talk about)

Hello In Aniva demo here at “themforest” is no longer with the Busines Templelate selection (Dark or Light) on your side, but it is “http://www.shindiristudio.com/anivia-business/” is it when downloading the current version yet? Best Regards Dina

Hi,

Yes, this layout is still available in Anivia Template and it always will be, but we’re currently reworking some of the demo sites and Anivia Business is one of them. The dark and light layout are also available, but they were removed from the theme preview customizer.

I am thinking of buying the theme to give my blog a new look. Question is can I change out the theme I have for this one with little fuss? Or can I work on how I want to customize it before adding as the new theme for my blog? My blog is http://thoughtsofbeauty.com and I been blogging since 2006. So there is a lot of content. Also will this work with CommentLuv Pro? I have its the best plugin for the stopping most spam. Thanks!

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

When switching themes, you can encounter the following issues:

- If your old theme has custom post types, you won’t be able to use them in your new theme - Shortcodes from the old theme will be deactivated and you won’t be able to use them in the new theme

You would encounter those two problems when switching to any theme, not just to Anivia. Additionally, Anivia uses Frontend builder for creation of page and post content. You would still have the same old content, but you won’t be able to edit it using Frontend builder.

We haven’t tested the theme with “CommentLuv Pro” plugin, but you shouldn’t have any trouble using it on Anivia. If you do, you can always contact us, and we’ll give our best to debug and solve the problem.

Kind regards,
Br0

Default-user

Thanks. This was the best theme I really liked but I was afraid that because of the Frontend Builder that it wouldn’t be able to switch that easily. So what you are saying I won’t be able to change any content because I am transfering it from a basic blog to a blog theme using the Frontend Builder? So the only way to edit it would be before the tansfer? Do you offer any themes not made with Frontend Builder?

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

No, you can edit the content that you already have on your site if you switch to Anivia, but you can’t use Frontend builder on already built pages and posts – you’ll have to use default WP (TinyMCE) editor.

All of our newer themes include Frontend builder, which has to be active, but you don’t have to use it – you can freely use just TinyMCE editor. Fbuilder’s shortcodes can be added through TinyMCE but only manually, so it can be a tedious process. However, most certainly you won’t have any trouble switching to Fbuilder, and if you do – you can always contact us for help or if you have questions

Hope that helps you.

Kind regards,
Br0

Default-user

Then that wouldn’t be a problem I don’t use shortcodes because I got no clue how to. So my blog right now has no shortcodes. I have a feeling that this type of transfer needs to be left to someone who knows more about it than I do. I am pretty good with Wordpress but I don’t want to break anything. Do you offer that kind of service?

I know pretty much what I don’t want. This is of the few themes that doesn’t have to have that huge header. Which I don’t like anyway.

HI

Can you have different pages with a different theme at the same time. Ie create a page that uses the blog, another that uses business and another that uses a blog theme?

Thanks

Hi,

You could also use Wordpress Multi-Site on same url. Then you can also split the posts for each section, but you’ll have e.g. three wp sites insted of one.

I have a quick question before I buy the theme. The homepage of the magazine style I love how the posts are displayed in the masonry style and I also played with the editor myself. Is there a way to make those images smaller as well as the box for the title and description for the masonry style posts? Please let me know because I would like to add a sidebar and make the masonry posts smaller so I can fit 3 side by side with a sidebar. Thank You

Thank you for the reply, Another question I had was can I also change it from “More Posts” to next page? so that the website doesn’t become too long after they click on more posts it just keeps loading more on the page rather then changing to page 2 if I set it to 15 per page so the next 15 posts will be on page 2 and so on. Thank You

Hello,

I have big problems with Anivia and the mail support unresponsive last 15 days.

1/ After the update, on some pages, the sidebar is passed over the text and I can not change anything on “frontend builder” (example : http://aides-sociales.fr/simulation-bourse-crous/)

2/ In the theme option, the header parameters don’t appears

3/ And since the update, I have these messages : Warning: array_filter() [function.array-filter]: The first argument should be an array in /home/.../httpdocs/wp-content/themes/anivia/admin/classes/class.options_machine.php on line 1145

Warning: array_map() [function.array-map]: Argument #2 should be an array in /home/.../httpdocs/wp-content/themes/anivia/admin/classes/class.options_machine.php on line 1146

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/.../httpdocs/wp-content/themes/anivia/admin/classes/class.options_machine.php on line 1175

Just a pre-sales question. Is there any quick or easy way out to create a secondary menu maybe under the main menu or under the top bar where the login link and social media icons are?

abner7g

Sorry just another question. Does the visual composer or any other page builder for the back end could be compatible or fully functional for this theme?

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

The custom menu in the top bar is available. No, this theme uses the Frontend Builder for creating and editing pages. You can check the ‘Create your own page’ link on our demo sites to see what it can do.

Kind regards,
br0

abner7g

Yes the visual front end composer is awesome!! So for the menu it has the main menu above the slider and at the top bar it has another menu? I can find it in the wordpress menu section or in the theme options?

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

Yes it has the menu in the top bar. You will first create a menu in Appearance>Menus and then in Appearance>Anivia Options in Header Settings under top header elements you’ll choose this menu and its position (left or right).

Hey br0!

Been loving your theme, however I’ve noticed a crucial structural error.

On mobile responsive, user can pinch to zoom out, revealing 1/4 site content alignleft, and 3/4 background space (grey). Screenshot here: http://bit.ly/1ezhy0p

Could we disable pinch zoom on responsive? Also I am open to anyother technical suggestions to fix this.

Secondly, could you direct me how to best add Jetpack infinite scroll to the Anivia theme?

http://jetpack.me/support/infinite-scroll/

It requires some technical integration, and this feature would really make Anivia a powerful theme for content marketing. (ViralNova / Mashable)

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

1. Find and open ..\wp-content\themes\anivia\header.php file and change the user-scalable property on line 17 to “no”.

2. Well, the code on the page that you gave us is pretty self-explanatory – you’ll just have to include and call those functions in anivia’s functions.php file, or you can even use a child theme. Did you encountered some concrete issue that you encountered in implementing infinite scroll?
