getting this warning on all of the pages right after I activated front end builder.

I am on a localhost right now.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in C:\wamp\www\thenews2\wp-content\plugins\frontend_builder\frontend_builder_class.php on line 589

This warning is on every screen even on the upload media screen as well.

Hi,

The error seems to be related to fetching fonts. Can you try to open “wp_options table” in phpmyadmin, find “fbuilder_admin_webfonts” option and in the same row, you erase “option_value” field entry? Let us know if that helps. In the following update, we should release a fail-safe solution for fonts, and hopefully, you wouldn’t be getting this kind of errors anymore.

Kind regards,

the fontawesome link you provided in the documentation does not give you a wordpress plugin. i had to download it from wordpress.org repository. http://wordpress.org/plugins/font-awesome/

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

That is just a link to Font Awesome site. When you install the theme, notice to install the required plugins will show up and you continue with install there. Installing from WP repository is also a valid option. Be sure to read the documentation, to familiarize with the theme, and if you have additional questions or need help, feel free to contact us.

on the font issue, I was not able to find any entry by front end builder in that table. I installed/uninstalled it couple of times. deleted as well but no difference. First time it just does not get activated and throws the error that plugin can not be activated due to a fatal error. I checked db and saw 2 tables created there of the plugin. If you hit activate again it gets activated but there is a blank black page on the front end builder link. Went again to db and saw some values added to the options table of plugin. But still not that entry in the wp options table.

I tried installing it on a live site and it did not throw the error. looks like it does not work on a local host if you are behind a proxy. You should create a fail safe routine. Not every one will check it live. Some people like me feel more comfortable on their machine first before taking it to live server.

Hi,

We are working on a fail-safe solution for fetching google fonts for the next update. We haven’t encountered problems when installing theme on localhost, maybe the proxy is causing the errors. We’ll have that in mind for the following updates.

Just wanted to leave a comment about the support that I have received:

Br0-Author has been very responsive to helping and supporting his product.

I have purchased several templates and unfortunately that has not always been the case.

The documentation of “how to” install is well written.

The couple of “glitches” that I had were attending to and taken care of by them.

I’d also like to add that their correspondence has always been very polite and not canned.

Thank you. http://www.theloftsalonstudio.com

How do you enable the sidebar in single post view? I am talking about the side bar which is under featured image and not the one which is the default right side bar. I need a 3 column view on each post/page unless it is a full page width.

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

This is a sidebar created in the Frontend Builder for each post that has it. If you want to achieve this then follow these steps. First of all disable the default single post sidebar. Then create an post template with your layout as you want it. Save this template and use it for all your posts.

Kind regards,

Would that be available in the edit view of the post? Can we make it default for every post? I do not want to give this option to editors/authors/contributors.

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

No, it wouldn’t be available in Edit View of the post, only in Frontend builder edit page. Unfortunately, for now, it can’t be set as default template – you’ll have to load it. We’ll consider adding this feature in the upcoming updates, though.

How one is supposed to add text which will be put into the first column area of a single post file while using front end builder.

{ Column1-Post Content Area? }{ Related Posts Area }{ Right Sidebar }

Are you supposed to add content somewhere in the theme builder?

Can we show related post based on the current post tags or post category or post author?

Default-user
chodhry Purchased

Can we show author’s picture instead of featured image?

Where can I change/remove the default text of ‘Check Out’?

Can we make a child theme as I am going to do a lot of css changes in title, navigation and other areas. What is the best way to go about it without losing the ability to update the theme when there is one available.

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

Yes, you can create a child theme and change whatever you want. In Theme Options>Appearance>Single Post you can disable the featured image and activate the author information. This author information will show just bellow the post. If you would like it to be displayed on top then you could get this with the child theme. If you cannot do it on your own our support stuff will help you. To add content to your first column use text/html element from the left elements bar. Currently related elements work with the tags and have no option to show such information, but you can always create a separate category for each author and use the plain elements (not related) to insert random posts from that category.

Where’s the ‘Check Out’ you wish to remove? If this is the part of the WooCommerce plugin then you’ll need to edit it there.

no it is i think magazine full width from insert post shows on mouse over. check it out.

But I want to show author’s post based on the current post author automatically. Not from a pre-selected author.

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

1. You can change “Check out text” by translating the .po file or manually. If you want to do it manually, search for “CHECK IT OUT” string in theme’s shortcodes.php file (around line 2070) and in functions.php file (around line 1007). It needs to be changed in those two places.

2. That functionality is currently not implemented, but we’ll consider adding it in the future updates of the theme.

Hello!

Thanks for developing such a complete template. It is very useful and practical.

I have a question. I’m using WP version in Spanish. And when I go to theme options, I can see repeated several times the footer settings. It appears like right?

I leave a link to a screenshot so you can see what I mean. Use WP 3.8.

Hi,

- 2 sidebars – It’s possible to do it on single post and archive pages, by activating “Widgetized area” in Dashboard > Theme Options > Sidebar Settings. After that, in Widgets page, you can create sidebar in the new entry that appeared.

- Demo content is available for Shop layout. Check the documentation for importing the demo content, and if you have any more additional questions, feel free to ask. Have in mind, though, that you’ll have to setup and create WooCommerce products manually.

Hi!

First of all, I have to say its a wonderful theme, really easy to manage, thanks a lot for the nice work.

I’m just a bit lost with few things:

- How can active “log in” - I really want to use one of the features that you show here: http://www.shindiristudio.com/demo/?item=Anivia_Wordpress but I don’t know how. I see 3 columns: activity, travel, nightlife and I really need to use that but I was searching in widgets and i didn’t see it.

Br0 Author

Hi,

Thanks for the compliment, we appreciate it :)

1. “Log in” is activated when WooCommerce is installed, enabled and when “Disable Cart/Login” function in Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options > WooCommerce Settings is turned off.

2. That is the combination of Magazine Link List element and Title element above it. They are added through Frontend builder.

Hope that this helps. Feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.

Thanks a lot for your quickly answer. Only one thing, Frontend builder doesn’t works at the home, when I activated open a single post. So to make this kind of Home, I need to create a page and using that?

Another more questions: a good plugin to make the menu dropdrown that works with this Theme, not widgezided?

Br0

Hi,

1. Frontend builder doesn’t work on pages that are not static, e.g. latest posts homepage. You need to create new page and edit it in Fbuilder. After that, you can set that page as home in ../wp-admin/customize.php .

2. You can also build megamenu in Anivia without using widgets – check how it can look like on this page: http://www.shindiristudio.com/anivia-business/ . Maybe that can suit your needs. Anyway, the most famous megamenu plugin for WP is uberMenu, and it works with Anivia.

Br0 we have to implement few custom fields which we want to use as filters at various places. Can you please guide me kn how we can actually extend the builder blocks with this functionality in a way that updating the plugin would not create problems. What we want to add a drop down with following options in the post editor screen. (Top, Featured, Home, Regular). it would be selected one at a time. We want to further use this field to populate our home page blocks so we do not have repetitions in the content block. We will take care of all of the custom fields creation just need your assistance on identifying the best way to modify some of the anivia specific front page builder blocks.

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

If we understood you correctly, you want to edit some of the Frontend builder elements and add additional drop down in their options. In that case, this is the answer:

Unfortunately, modifying Fbuilder elements and keeping the changes after update is not possible. However, you can create your elements by modifying the code we used, and you don’t have to add them in Fbuilder’s files, you can freely add the code in a separate file – even a plugin. In it, you will have separate array with your elements options (you can add drop down here) . That array needs to be added to fbuilder global variable like this: $fbuilder->add_new_shortcodes($Array); Shortcode function which takes the options and generates HTML code can also be added in the separate file.

That should be it, hope it helps you. Feel free to ask any additional questions.

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

You should be able to do it within the child theme. You can declare the desired functions in Anivia conditionally – http://wordpress.org/support/topic/override-twentyeleven-functionsphp-using-child-theme (more on this link), and then add the changes in child theme. We’re also planning on wrapping functions in Anivia so that they could be overwritten in the theme, but that is currently not supported.

Just bought your theme and my site has never looked better. However, as much as I like your theme, I been having some annoying problems..

1. Mega menu doesn’t work. I tried setting it up in the Appearance > Menus but it won’t show on my home page. The widget option doesn’t work either.

2. For some reason when I scroll down the social are of the sticky menu drops below the menu.

3. I think the large thumbnails in the Anivia Category Posts widget are too large, and they cause the post data beside them to look funny.

4. You have two widgets on the demo site I can’t seem to find in my theme, The Tabbed widget, and the widget labeled “Interesting”.

Thanks again!

Oops I forgot one more thing. When I my logo to the sticky menu it hugs to close to the Menu tab, and my Tagline also doesn’t show up…

Br0

Hi,

1. Did you added the sidebar to it? Things like that can happen when the sidebar is empty.

2. & 5. Can you give us a link to the page so we can see the problem firsthand?

3. Style of any element can be additionally changed by adding CSS code to custom CSS field in Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options > Advanced Settings to suit your needs.

4. Those are “+Anivia Post Tabs” and “+Anivia Category Posts” widgets added in Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.

Two more things I would like to give you a heads-up on. I think most of my problems are because of the Chrome browser. Br0, how can I add menu_order and ‘update date’ in the sorting options along with date, comments, title, etc…?

Also I am not able to see all the categories in the drop down. Does it not show the sub-categories?

Br0
Br0 Author

Hi,

In shortcodes.php file, $anivia_shortcodes array, dropdowns are added like this:

'orderby' => array(
                'type' => 'select',
                'label' => __('Sort Posts By','anivia'),
                'std' => 'date',
                'options' => array (
                    'comment_count'=> __('By comment count', 'anivia'),
                    'date'=> __('By date', 'anivia'),
                    'title'=> __('By Title', 'anivia'),
                    'rand'=> __('Random', 'anivia')
                    )
                ),

By expanding options array, you should be able to add new options to a dropdown menu.

We haven’t encountered the problem for sub-categories and haven’t had reports of it until now. We’ll check it, and provide a fix for the next update if the error is present.

If you have any additional questions or need help, feel free to contact us.

Shortcodes file question – you should be able to do it both ways, but any function that you want to change in the child theme needs to be declared conditionally.

Another option question – Check the “Formating options array” section on this page http://www.shindiristudio.com/fbuilder/developers-api/ . It should help you understand how the shortcodes array is formatted. If you have any additional questions regarding that, feel free to ask.

Can we restrict front builder use to only admins?

Hi,

1. There is a list on this page: http://www.shindiristudio.com/fbuilder/ with Fbuilder’s shortcodes and samples on how to use them in regular WP editor. However, a list like that is not available for Anivia elements, but they can also be added from editor.

2. Yes, but you’ll have to modify the code a little bit. Open ..\wp-content\frontend_builder\pages\edit_page.php file and replace this (line 21):

var fbuilder_user = '.(current_user_can('edit_post', $id) ? 'true' : 'false').';

with this:

.horisontal_tabs_item .category {
display:none;
}

in Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options > Advanced Settings > Custom CSS field should solve the issue you’re having.

Kind regards,

Thanks for the above which has solved most of the problem. However I am left with this “(0)” at the side of each image. Is it possible to remove this?

Hi,

That is the number of comments on a page/post. You can hide it together with “comment bubble” by applying this piece of CSS code:

.horisontal_tabs_item span.inline_tag_block.comment {
display:none;
}

Hope that solves your problem.

Kind regards,
Br0
