Question about the ‘send_email.php’: I am not the most fabulous php guy (thus my need for a template, ha-ha). Is there documentation on your usage and how I can get this to work properly? Also, same for the map on the ‘contact.html’ page. Thanks.

pexeto

Hi,

In the documentation in the section HTML Files->Contact Page the main settings that you need to do in order to make it work are explained- it is explained how to to set the email address to which to send the message and also it is explained how to set your map coordinates so that it will display your location.

Question about the javascript fonts.

If I put a web page in a sub directory, the javascript fonts are not active in that page. Every thing else works when setting the correct paths, but even though the path for the font style sheet is correct and the path for the font javascript file is correct, the fonts are not active.

Do I have to set a different path IN the font javascript file to support a sub directory? The path of the font javascript file is correct.

Any examples would help.

Hope that was clear.

Thanks

pexeto

Hi,

The fonts used here actually are not generated by javascript code. However if you would like to have a document in a subdirectory you will have to place the fonts directory and the styles/fonts.css file within the subdirectory- basically you need to follow the same parent structure.

The font info worked perfectly, thanks for the help.

Just purchased this template and it looks great!

The psd files included look like they’re the ones from the wordpress version (judging by the footer and the elements used). Can you include the site version of the psd files as well?

pexeto

Hi,

I’m glad you like it :)

When I created the PSD files, the WordPress version didn’t exist yet. Those files have been included so that if you would like to change some images used in the theme (such as buttons) you will be able to do it after editing them and the content data in the footer is not that important- it is just there to fill the design, so there isn’t any difference if you are going to use the files for the HTML version or the WordPress one.

Quick question – I’m having a problem with the navigation drop down menu. When the last li has a submenu, when you hover over it in FF or Safari, the whole menu shifts to the left. I don’t know if this is a superfish bug, or something that can be fixed with css. Any help is appreciated.

hi.

i have a problem whith the gallery configures in the script head-part:

when i set: lightboxDescription:true,

than i get trubble whit the code. :crying: look: http://futec-ag.de/test/dampfe/website/raeume_und_ambiente_wrong.html

when i set: lightboxDescription:false, than is all right but i heve no discription in my lightboxwindow:

http://futec-ag.de/test/dampfe/website/raeume_und_ambiente.html

thanx for support

pexeto

Hi,

I think this is happening because you have inserted HTML tags into the description and this is a problem for the lightbox plugin. However, you can solve this by inserting the HTML tags without the quotation marks (“) as they are the ones that break the code.

I would like to delete the main content and service boxes on the home page, leaving behind the header, nivio slider, and footer. How do I do this?

pexeto

Hi,

You have to open the template-home.php file and delete the div with id content-container and all the content inside it.

By the way you have posted your question in the HTML version comments section, not the WordPress one.

What I’ve realized is that its not the service boxes that I’m having a challenge with: I am trying to follow the directions to make a home page (with only the menu, nivio slider, and footer – no blog posts) and then have separate pages for the blog, gallery, about etc.

When I create a new page that is to be the “home page” in wordpress and then I select it to be the “Front page display” I get the following error Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<’ in /home/saram529/public_html/wp-content/themes/anthology/template-home.php on line 9

pexeto

I guess you might have done some code changes in the template page, am I right? If so, you can try to replace your template-home.php file with the original one just to make sure that everything is fine with the code. After that you can do what I have described above to remove the main content area of the home page.

how i can set a marker on the googlemap?

pexeto

The code that calls the map is located withing the script.js file, the function is called initializeMap and starts on line 40.

In order to set a marker you have to add this code in the end of the function:

var marker = new google.maps.Marker({
     position: latlng,
     map: map,
     title:"This is the title"
 });

thanks for your first support :)

but i have another issue again:

why i can’t see the validation informations in the contactform? it’s callback only the ”!” icon. How i can make it visible?

This i get after run the script:
<div class="contact_message" style="opacity: 0; display: none;">
<p>Please insert a valid email address</p></div>
pexeto

This is how the contact form is designed to work, however you can try with opening the script.js file and in the contact section everywhere where the icons and messages are generated:

$('<div class="question_icon"></div><div class="contact_message"><p>' + pexetoContactForm.emptyNameMessage + '</p></div>').insertAfter(nameTextBox);

Change the contact_message class to another one, for example contact_label and the messages should get displayed.

One more thing: I am testing the “newsletter” email piece. I am not seeing the same documentation on this part, however. Would you mind giving me a nudge in the right direction to get this working? Thank you for all your help.

I have noticed something with regard to the Nivo slider and wonder if there is a fix for it.

Because the code just lists each image in the div “nivo-slider” and the javascript takes care of the functionality, there is a not-so-brief flash of the other images underneath your first slideshow image before they are hidden.

I noticed this first with my site but then noticed it’s on the author’s Nivo slider page as well: http://pexeto.com/anthology/index5.html

Anything I can do to alleviate this? (other than choosing a different slider).

thanks!

Good morning I have purchased your template and love the flexibility of colours, backgrounds and sliders – thank you! I am trying to change the big slider so that the images are ‘portrait’ rather than ‘landscape’. I have muddled my way through most of it, but still can not get the navigation image borders to be taller and also on the big picture when a ‘title’ is shown at the bottom it is stretching beyond the width of the frame. Can you please point me in the right direction as to where I can change these? Many, many thanks, Alison

Hello,

I could not find any help listed on your forum. I can’t get the contact form to work. I just want it to go to my email address! What do I do? I changed the ”$emailToSend” variable to my email address and still nothing. Please advise. Thanks!

pexeto

Hi,

First of all – I am sorry for the delay – we had some Internet connection limitations.

If you can’t find your answer on the forum, you can post a new question – you can register here:

http://support.pexeto.com/register.php

By the way, your site should be uploaded to a server in order to get the contact form to send emails- it can’t work from your local computer.

Hi Daniele,

Thank you very much for your feedback, it is much appreciated! I’m glad you like the theme :)

Hello, I purchased this wonderful theme this morning and I’m starting to configure it. I’m facing just a little problem with the main fading slider (the one present in index2.html). Everything works fine but the thumbnails generated at the bottom of the slider look stretched, what should i do?

Many thanks for the support, and congrats again for the awesome theme.

Stefano from italy

I’ve find all the answers in the documentation…sorry for the disturb :-)

pexeto

No worries, I’m glad you have figured it out :)

Thanks pexeto. Anyway now I really need your help :D

I followed the documentation and I managed to configure the ajax form which is working. The problem is that now I’ve got to add several fields but I really don’t know hot to do that because I’ve always been working on simple CGI form. Unfortunately the documentation lacks this part so I’m here to ask your kind help :)

Many thanks in advance for your support.

I have a question in regards to the layout of this template. Since it is fixed does that mean no matter what size computer you are on and how big the browser window gets the site will stay the sames width and height?

thanks

pexeto

Hi,

Yes, the body of the site stays with the same width and height regardless the resolution and the computer used (only some devices, such as iPhone zoom out the site so you can see the whole part of it).
