Loving the theme, and I can see your customer service is top notch. I’m finding my way around and getting things customized for my client. However, I’ve added child pages, and the drop down menu does not seem to be functioning. I’ve confirmed that the css for suckerfish is installed. The arrow shows up and the pages are there – but there is no drop down menu upon mouseover. Do I need to install the plugin?

Great template, has been a dream to work with, very well organised.

Its a silly question, but how do I make a no-link top menu item for my drop downs. I don’t want to attach the parent menu item to any pages. I know its possible as you have it on your demo, please explain.

Hello,

Really nice template. Thank you for your great effort. One quick question though:

I’ve looked around on how to add default content for posts when adding a new post and i found this:

But now I’d like to add default content specifically for the Portfolio post type, and not pages or posts.

Seems like excelent theme… Im just importing dummy text from your xml Tho this main menu jquery slider is emplty.. i supose i have to add it manually

now i wonder is there any chance to get code for sidebar latest news because i need thumbnail with news title as shown on that theme which i would like to show on this theme here ?

Thanks, I’m glad you like the theme

The plugin used on the Sintagma theme has been specially created for the theme and I am not sure how it is going to work on this one. If you want, I can send you the file (if you do, please send me a private message), but will need to write some additional CSS code in order to make it look in the same way.

Now i see u got even better theme named Dandelion.. Well it seems i missed what i needed soi have to buy that other theme because i need container with solid color

Problem with this theme [ anthology ] is iif i change color of body background i change even background of the blogs / pages so text become unreadable.. Would be lovely option if u add separate areas like real body background and this where WP loop is running but nvm :))

Anyhow, same questions remains.. If i buy Dandelion i need same latest news widget with thumbnails in it.. Is that possible, like for .. tomorrow ? I Buy asap if it is :)))

And question about Dandleion is if i can have same thumbnails like on this theme [ i need exactly 6 pictures in slider and i need to link them on static pages.. I see thumbs in Dandelion theme have different aspect ratio than in anthology and i need this, anthology ratio ]

Regarding the thumbnails of the Dandelion theme – I think you will have to do some code changes in order to make it look like the Anthology slider thumbnails – you will have to increase the width and height in the CSS and the calling PHP file and also change the script so that it displays 6 thumbnails. If you have some basic web development knowledge, it will be easy for you to accomplish.

Hi LOVE LOVE LOVE the theme and I have been learning my way around. I read through the comments and saw that someone else had the same somewhat of the same problem as I do. All of my pages are left justified, I do have a page attached with text on it, and the page is set to full width. Any ideas on how I can get it centered? Also, the textures are not working for me.

Hi,

I have just had a look and couldn’t see a page that is positioned to the left. Can you please provide a link to the exact page? Or maybe I couldn’t understand your question?

Regarding the patterns, as I can see that you have renamed your theme main folder and it contains a blank space in the name and I think that this is causing the pattern image not to get displayed. If you rename the folder, everything should be fine (you also might need to reactivate it).

I couldn’t automatically install the theme and had to upload to my server, taking out the space and reactivating it worked.

I checked in a different browser and it is centered in Firefox and IE, but not in Google Chrome. But when I look at the demo site in google chrome, that one is centered.

I just figured out what I did to make it go to the left. In the settings>reading>Front page display, I selected blog for both font page and posts page and left page before I saw that it said you can’t use the same for both.

I have read and re-read the detailed instructions but I feel like I don’t understand how the portfolio gallery page and and portfolio pages work.

I have set-up the gallery page and this is what I get:

What is supposed to be loaded in the content area of the gallery page? Does it pull content automatically from the portfolio pages I create or is the gallery page where I upload all the photos I want displayed in my galleries?

What is supposed to be loaded into the content areas of the portfolio pages? I have three categories or portolio areas I want people to be able to access: children, family, events. Do I create portfolio pages for each of those categories or do I create a portfolio page for each of the images?

I think my challenge is I don’t understand how they all connect so I’m not sure where I’m supposed to load my content.

Please help

Hi,

Did you read the “Creating Portfolio Items” subsection of the relevant gallery section of the documentation? In there it is explained how to create the portfolio items and all the settings that you can do to each of them. However, for your case here is what you have to do:

Create a portfolio page and assign the portfolio gallery template
Create the categories that you need in the Portfolio->Portfolio categories section
Create the portfolio items- for each image you would like to display you have to go to Portfolio->Add New, create the item, set the category to which it belongs to and set the image URL in the Preview image URL .

This is all you have to do- with these settings you will have a gallery with a category filter of the 3 categories you have and the items you have created.

Is there any way to include a small webform in the Nivo Slider space? It looks like you can only upload a regular image, but I’m hoping to be able to include an opt-in web form, and possibly a short video.

Wondering if there is any functionality built into the form, or if I could hire a designer to put something like that into the space?

Hello, I want to close comments on one specific post so I unchecked the bo that said, “Allow Comments.” The comment form does disappear but so do all the comments.

I was told that this is related to the theme and not to Wordpress. So is there a way to close comments only on one specific post, remove the commenting form but still see all the previous comments?

Hi pexeto,

My client wants to have a Project page and a Press page which are the same 3 column layout as the Potfolio Gallery page of your template.

I have created page called “press” by using the Portfolio Gallery template and added a new portfolio item. The Press page looks good, but the Portfolio page contains the picture of the press page and category name called “press’. Is it possible to use the Portfolio Gallery page template for 2 different pages?

I am also thinking to purchase your another template ‘Dandelion’. Can I use your Portfolio Gallery template for Portfolio page and the Quick Gallery template for Press page? Dose the Quick Gallery template show only Portfolio items?

In the Portfolio section, I like how you can click on a gallery item and it opens in a lightbox. How do you modify the dimensions of this lightbox?

It looks like the dimensions are currently about 500×345. I’d like to make it much bigger so it takes up more of the screen.

Hi,

Thanks for the interest

The slider is a part of the theme, it doesn’t go separately, and it really depends on which parts of it you would like to implement. If it is the slider only (without the functionality that saves the images) it would be easier to implement – you just have to copy the needed JS files, the required HTML structure and the CSS code for the slider.
