Hi, Love ur theme,

I am having some warnings with the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin and the Aperture theme. How can I stop the warnings below?

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/98/8226298/html/wbasil/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/core/class-wpb-map.php on line 245

Yes, but this is just not file affected not the cause. I mean where do you see it, near what element or is it in dashboard?

Thanks!

Please try reinstalling the theme and check it before importing demo content and making any changes.

Thanks!

I really like your theme. Just one question. I am not a professional website builder, so I’m looking for a theme that is easy to use. I have built a couple of simple wordpress sites. Are there detailed instructions as to how to get your theme up and running? I’ve already purchased one site and I’ve had a really difficult time with it. Thanks so much.

Hi,

Theme comes with user manual to get you started, all important steps are covered. Once you install it, there is a Import Demo button, which will add a content like you see in our live demo. Then you can just edit it or learn how to use it.

Theme uses drag&drop page builder, so it does not require any code knowledge.

Also we have dedicated support forum where you can ask your questions, if you need help.

Thanks!

I’m very interested in purchasing your theme but have a few more questions for you. 1. I’m assuming the homepage full-screen slideshow can go horizontally from slide to slide. Correct? 2. Can you put a link from a slide on the home page to another page on the site? 3. Can we use the full-screen slider on any of our pages? 4. Can you put only the full-screen slideshow on the home page and no scroll down? Thank you!!!

Hi,

1. In theme options select contained header option instead of full width. You can change the color of the header in theme options too.

2. If you do not want a footer, just remove widgets from footer widget areas in Appearance/Widgets.

Thank you!

I’m using the theme Aperture and would like for the home page to have the same look as a link you sent me. http://mnkythemes.com/aperture/slider-only/ (I may want to add some content later, but I don’t want it to show unless you scroll down.)

I like the transparent header on that page, but can’t see where to adjust that. I also like the menu text color and drop down colors. In addition I like the way the slide fills the whole screen. I tried to take out the footer—I guess that’s what I’m seeing on my home page, but can’t seem to accomplish that. Here’s the link: http://www.weddingclocks.com/wp

I really appreciate your help and patience. I’m somewhat of a beginner, although I’ve built a couple of simple wordpress sites. This is going to be a learning curve for me.

Hi,

1. To enable full screen slider you have to choose corresponding mode in slider settings. One of the modes in a full screen.

2. Transparent header is enabled in page settings (settings under the main editor when editing any page). Choose Overlay Header options there.

Thank you!

Hi there! I use Wordpress themes for my photography web site. A page is here ->>> http://yesbutisitartphotobooks.com/images At the moment I am using Divi and various other themes from Elegant Themes, but they are all starting to look a bit ‘samey’ to me, if you know what I mean. I have been looking around for something different for quite a while and have just come across your Aperture theme. Looks good to me and seems to have a lot of features – woocommerce (I’d like to sell my images at some point) and lots of layout options (masonry style important). Also, I like the option of a boxed layout as I much prefer this to full-width. However, I am concerned that when I use your Live Preview for the Masonry style portfolio page, it looks good in full-width, but when I switch to boxed layout (my preference) the images in the 1st and 3rd column get cropped drastically on the left and right edges, which spoils the effect completely. Will this happen to my web site? Or is it just a quirk of the Live Preview? Thanks and regards, Mark.

Hi,

This is for live preview only. It happens because grid layout is set to calculate width by screen size and screen size stays the same when using live preview style switcher.

If you plan to use boxed layout, just choose boxed option for the grid and it will resize accordingly.

Thank you!

Hi! Me again! A few more questions! As I mentioned in a previous query, I am looking to use Aperture to display my (mostly photography) images. How well does Aperture land itself to a mixture of different image aspect ratios? A lot of themes use all, for example, landscape images, in the Live Preview as this makes the theme a little tidier than it perhaps would otherwise be. A little bit of a cheat, I feel ;-) Is Aperture happy with square, landscape, portrait? I like Masonry style. Would a mixture of images of different aspect ratios work with Aperture’s masonry styles? Also, is it possible to randomise the images in a gallery or portfolio page so that the same images DON’T come up in the same order (boring! Much more interesting to have different images, in different order – much more dynamic!) I had another question, but I’ve forgotten it! Never mind. Hope to hear from you soon (I think it’s time for me to finally make a decision!) Thanks and regards, Mark.

Hi,

We use Essential Grid as main portfolio and photography display engine. So you can check what it is capable of here: http://codecanyon.net/item/essential-grid-wordpress-plugin/7563340 I think it can do all you mentioned.

Thank you!

Hi there! Can I get a PDF version of all the documentation for the theme – user guide, essential grid guide etc as it is a pain to read on screen and as I’m a bit old-fashioned I like hard copy! Thanks and regards, Mark.

Hi,

I am sorry, but we have only html format of theme documentation. Plugin help files also come originally in this format.

You can print a html document, if you want though.

Thank you!

Hi .. I just purchased this theme . Where do i enter this purchase code ?

I have very basic wordpress knowledge sorry lol

MNKY

Hi,

You do not need to enter purchase code anywhere, you can use a theme right away. If you want automatic updates you will have to install included Envato Toolkit plugin and enter your ThemeForest user data.

Thank you!

Ah ok … i thought that purchase code was needed to activate the actual theme in order for it to work . thanks !

Hello again … one other question . I have successfully installed this theme by importing the theme demo so it looks like the one on this site

now … I cant seem to figure out how to change that background image ? can you help ? ive been trying to look for it and i cant find it .

Also, is there a way for me to have that background image become a slideshow so the images change within that ?

thankx

Default-user

ok i found it . I was able to change the background ( yay ) ... Is there anyway the background image can become an actual slider instead of having just a static image ?

MNKY
MNKY Author

Sorry, but there is no such feature. You can only use a slider revolution as the actual slider.

Thank you!

ok no prob !

Hi,

I could not find it on the preview website, but does this template include a pricing table option?

Thanks!

MNKY
MNKY Author

Hi,

There are pricing tables that can be made with essential grid (http://mnkythemes.com/aperture/pricing-tables/), no other options for that, sorry.

Thank you!

How come when i view my site on an ios device ( iphone4s ) .. everything doesnt look like how it does on a computer ( ie. Missing the menus, headers, everything is in 1 column )

Im assuming there is a setting i missed ?

btw. i just purchased this theme last night and ive been up all morning tweaking it ! THIS IS FANTASTIC ! IM LOVING IT ! i cant wait to actually get it up and running !

Hi,

Very happy to hear that, appreciate :)

This is called a responsive style, it is a requirement for all modern themes. Would you really like to disable it? And there is a special mobile menu on top right when you press the menu icon.

Thank you!

Ok last question for today before i hit the Gym … I decided to not put my logo on the top left corner of the screen . But when i do this, the title of my website is still there . Where is the option to turn that off ? LOL thanks so much .. your customer service is top notch ! That alone is worth the price i paid for so thank you so much !

Is there any option to have the colorbox be completely transparent …. or be 50% opacity ? I find it too blocky

MNKY

Hi,

Sure, you can set color transparency when choosing color.

Thank you!

Great ! Im trying to figure out how to use the ’ essential grid ’ . I was hoping to classify my posts per category and use the essential grid as a way to visually line them up.

For example ; i want to make a 2 rows , 3 columns using the essential grid BUT somehow use each square as a category that is assigned to specific posts …

lets say : the 1st row / 1st column ” PHOTO ” the 1st row / 2nd column ” TUTORIALS ” the 1st row / 2nd column ” REVIEWS “

My question is … is this possible WITH ESSENTIAL GRID ? or perhaps theres another way ?

MNKY
MNKY Author

Hi,

I have not seen such feature in Essential Grid, but you can walk through tutorial and also see this website for some advanced tips, maybe you will find something: http://www.themepunch.com/home/category/plugins/wordpress-plugins/essential-grid-responsive-wordpress-plugin/

Thank you!

When i edit the ” THEME ” element ( FOR TEAM )

... i dont see ” twitter / facebook / Dribble ” ? but on the demo page its there

is this a separate element ?

Default-user

WOOPS nevermind .. found it ” Twitter / Facebook / Dribbble “

We tried to implement a sticky contact widget. (Specifically: http://codecanyon.net/item/ninja-kick-wordpress-contact-form/6598780) ...but that broke a fixed scroll background on a row. (The background no longer scrolled – it was supposed to be a parallax-y affect, built with visual composer) Do you either have a fix for this or a recommendation for a contact widget you know is compatible with your theme?

We’ve already reached out to the developers at visual composer and they suggested we try here.

MNKY
MNKY Author

Hi,

I think almost every contact widget should be compatible with theme. The given widget probably overwrites global style with an ! Important css statement, which is not a good practice. This should be addressed to plugin author, not the visual composer authors.

If you wish to provide a link where issue is present, I will be happy to take a look.

Thank you!

Hi. I actually had to start over on my aperture website because of some hosting problems. I had the slide show up full screen with overlay header previously, but I don’t seem to be able to get the slide to go full screen even with “Full Screen” selected. Here’s the home page so you can see. Please help. Thank you. John http://new.weddingclocks.com

Could you please help me with a couple of more questions—1. How to do I change the title color on the home page? It’s gray and I would like it to be black. 2. How do I make the Menu titles larger? Thanks so much.

MNKY
MNKY Author

Hi,

1. It is meant just to be a temporary title and is to be replaced with logo. But to change it use custom css:
.site-title {color:#fff;}

2.

#site-navigation ul li a {font-size:14px;}

Thank you!

Hi! Is this theme compatible with OptimizePress or Thrive content builder plugins for landing pages. I need to use one of these.

Thanks,

Hi there,

6 months ago, someone asked about styling for Gravity Forms. You said you’ll will add support for Gravity Form styling, so does it already work? I would like to buy the theme, but I really would like Gravity Form styling support, as I definitely gonna use it.

cheers

Hi,

I am using this theme on two sites at the moment and have to say it is awesome.

I am setting up another ecommerce website and am just wondering how you change the default number of products shown on the product category page. I have tried changing the settings in both the Theme area and woo-commerce but its still defaulting to 4 images across.

Hi,

By theme area, you mean theme options? The count should be changed there, make sure you just enter the number inside the input field.

If for some reason that does not work open aperture/inc/plugins/woocommerce/index.php, find and change:

$product_count = ot_get_option('woo_product_count', '9');

to

$product_count = 5;

Thanks!
