Hi peerapong,

I am new to Wordpress so I apologise in advance for my ignorance, I really like the clean balanced look of this theme and the listed features…great job. Before I purchase have a few questions:

1. is there a site search bar in this theme that can be enabled via admin e.g. as a widget or shortcode, or is this something I would need to add myself via one of the PHP files? Examples : a. if I wanted to add a search bar in the header area b. if I want to add a search bar in the sidebar of the blogs page to just search for results within the blog posts (i.e. ignore main pages)

2. Does the theme support assigning categories to blog posts e.g. press releases, general, <org> in the news etc ?

3. If the theme supports blog post categories, does it come with a categories widget to put in the sidebar of the blogs page? i.e. when a visitor goes to the blogs page I want them to be able to filter by category if they want e.g. press releases, general, <org> in the news etc

Thanks in advance, Rob

Hello, I am writing in the hopes that someone will respond to my request. I purchased your theme on June 11, 2012 and I am seeking your assistance. I logged on to the support site yesterday and submitted my inquiry. I tried to log on again today and it appears that I am being denied access.

Beautiful as always ;)

Thanks ;)

Hi, can you explain how the “Set” in the portfolio section works I saw in the video? Is that a way to group portfolio items?

Also – on the example home page, can we determine what portfolio items show up in the horizontal scrolling area called ‘Recent Works’ that you have? Maybe by a set?

Thanks.

ThemeGoods

1. Yes, it’s portfolio categories.

2. Sure you can filter them by set too.

Hi peerapong, thanks for making such a great theme.

Quick questions, what font did you use for the “Aphrodite” at the top? It looks really good with the theme itself, so I’m thinking of using it!

Sorry peerapong, 2 more questions. In the theme preview, how do I add these two sections:

1. The section right under the homepage slider that is a quote that says “Aphrodite is a powerful responsive WP theme”

2. The section that contains “Recent Works”

Is this something I’ll have to code myself, or is there a place in the settings where I can modify this?

Okay I found it!

I’m not too experienced with doing this, so do you mind helping me by telling me how do I get them to show up on the home page? Do I just generate the shortcodes ON the page edit view for “Home”?

Also, how do we add pictures to the portfolio? Where do we upload the pictures to?

Thanks peerapong!

When I’m setting my featured images for blog posts, I resized them to match the ones on your theme preview page (860px x 400px), but for some reason, they’re enlarged and stretched out when I post them. I compared them side by side to your theme preview page and my featured images are way bigger than yours. Why is that?

I figured it’s because my website is wider than yours, how do I change how wide the theme is (the white part)?

Sorry this couldn’t be done using theme admin panel. However you can edit theme CSS manually to do that.

Did you know about Firebug a Firefox plugin?

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843/ It will help you inspect all CSS and HTML elements, really help if you do a lot customization

Theme main CSS file is /css/screen.css

Is it possible to have a portfolio based on categories in shortcode? See example here:

http://themes.themegoods.com/aphrodite_wp/?page_id=2439

i am looking to just show images using the category ‘advertising’.

Great theme by the way!

ThemeGoods

Sure you can filter them by portfolio set.

Peerapong, I still can’t figure out how to change the width of the layout =\. I looked through the css and guessed that it was 960 because all the widths said 960. I changed that number to something else, but didn’t notice a difference.

& I tried changing all of the pictures on the homepage slider to 960, but they’re still stretched out and distorted as well. Are the dimensions for the layout the same for the pictures in the slider?

Before I purchase, I need to know if I’ll be able to load hundreds (maybe thousands) of portfolio items and have infinite scroll or paginate so they load easily.

ThemeGoods

Sorry It doesn’t support that. I will consider to add it into the future if there are many requests from customers. Generally speaking, if it’s not in the demo then it’s not in the theme. ;)

Hi, I love the look of the theme, have purchased it and am about to use it in a revamp of my current site.

One question, is there a way to display testimonials i.e. a shortcode maybe, or will I need to instal a separate plugin. My current Testimonials page (http://www.kerryfinchwriting.com/testimonials/)is a mish-mash of video and written copy, added to one page, but I’d like them to be in individual boxes.

Thanks Kerry

Hi, any response to the number of portfolio items I need to load question above? I’m ready to get started & buy, but need to know that a few thousand portfolio items will load and have filters/infinite scroll abilities so its not too slow to load or crash on a phone.

Thanks.

Expanding on the question above – on many themes I’ve been investigating – the filter portfolio option only works on the items on the page. If the portfolio is large & paginates, the filters are useless because they don’t include the other pages of portfolio items.

If I load 500 portfolio items into a set, can the theme BOTH break them into loadable pages/infinite scroll AND filter the entire set?

I hope that explains it better.

Thanks!

Is the amount of portolio items shown per page or in a set user controlled??

Can I set this number manually?

Can a single portfolio item exist in multiple sets?

ThemeGoods

Yes, it can.

I purchased and answered the questions above already. However, my logo & background images don’t seem to be saving and the default demo media keeps showing.
