Is it possible for the accordion to be ‘closed’ by default when the page loads?

blueowlcreative

Sure, comment out this line in your /js/common.js file:

setTimeout(function(){$(".acc_holder .acc_item:first-child .accordion").delay(1500).click();},600);

:)

Hi, Really like the template – just bought the HTML version. Not sure if this has been asked before but can’t find an answer. Is there a way to update the news items in the footer so that they update on all pages at once?

blueowlcreative

Hi,

This is an HTML template and everything is plain old static HTML, so no, you can surely use search-replace though… :)

This template is one of the most feature rich and attractive we have found over several years of deploying websites. When we had some questions, they were answered clearly and promptly. Great work & superb support.

blueowlcreative

Cheers, Rich, anytime! Don’t forget to rate the theme if you haven’t yet! ;) And thanks for the suggestions and great feedback! :)

Hi! Quick question. The theme changing widgets in the live demos make customization extremely easy. But once I purchase this will real-time customization (colors, fonts, etc.) be straightforward and relatively quick?

I’m not a novice, and not opposed to work. Just wondering whether I’m looking at hours or days to change things.

blueowlcreative

Yes they are, it’s explained in the documentation + preset classes are ready for you to alter in the CSS file! :) Any questions – just ask once you get it! BTW the WP version is a much better deal + you get plenty of free goodies with it + tons of shortcodes etc etc + content management is a breeze, you may want to consider that… :)

Okay, bought it and am having a lot of fun. Thanks! I understand what you’re saying about the Wordpress version. I have another client for which that might be the answer, but this one has too many custom PHP/MySQL scripts so I’d wind up with a CMS within a CMS, so to speak.

Hi, it’s a beautiful theme, but it crashes opera browser. I have 3 PCs, two of them with opera v12 and one with opera 11.6. Opera 11.6 works fine, but opera v12 crashes. It only happens at home page.

No, it seems that the style switcher causes the problem. So it doesn.t really matter. I would like to ask for some documentation on slider.js (sequence slider). I am looking for the settings to change the effects. For example transition (fadein out, direction, etc). flexslider is minimized so I cannot see the possible options.

blueowlcreative
Well, You are not going to use that, it’s just for styling your theme… use it in Chrome, the actual home page is going to be index.html. More on Sequence slider here: http://www.sequencejs.com/developers/documentation/

Thank you

Hi thank you for the beautiful template and for doing such a good job with commenting inside the style sheets so you can make our life of editing a bit easier. Quick question. How do you make the testimonial slider scroll slower? I ve tried looking inside the common.js file but i can’t find the appropriate code. Or at least how do you make it stop when you hover over it?

Thanks again

Nevermind, i found it inside the html stylesheet. :D Thanks

I can’y configure the mail php, I try somenay option and i always erro, could you help me wiht my contact form?

blueowlcreative

Hi there,

The HTML version of the theme doesn’t come with a server side script for it, sorry. You can surely implement some script yourself if you feel comfortable with it or get the WP version that has full functionality for contact form, search, tons of freebies + customizations and content management is much easier there…

I bought the html version, and now, do I need buy WP for my contact form??

blueowlcreative

Nope, unless you can implement some PHP or CGI script to do the server side mail sending … I am sure you can use some tutorial online and work that out yourself. The WP version offers a complete CMS solution + all server side functionalities within. :)

I have set the accordion to closed by editing the js file as suggested in a previous post. I want to add a form to the accordion, but as soon as the textarea is clicked the accordion closes. Can you please suggest a way to stop this from happening.

blueowlcreative

Hi,

I would love to take a look, could you put it up somewhere? :)

I see, please follow the same thread. As you can see in the JS file the event is attached to the ”.acc_item”, that’s why clicking on the textbox actually activates the event. You may work that around in the JS file by attaching the event to its first child, the “h4” instead … watch out as you may need to change some of the code as well though… Honestly if you are to have 1 of each in each cell, I wouldn’t even use the accordion, I would write my own and simply use the CSS classes to keep the styling.

One remark I noticed, don’t forget to use the grid system : class Row, in it class “sixteen columns” for the full width content, that way you want have the extra 10px on each side of your table on this page and you would ensure your page looks OK in responsive mode! :)

I had already tried the “h4” tag before posting but unfortunately that did not work – the accordion does not fire. Thanks for the heads up with the “sixteen columns” . Great template by the way.

blueowlcreative

Like I said, the event doesn’t fire as you will need to change the function a bit now… Obviously ”$(this)” would have a different context now, so you may want to sub ”$(this)” with for example:

$(this).parent('.acc_item').....

Thanks for the compliments, glad to hear you like the theme, you can rate it to share the love! Cheers! :)

When I include jquery-ui.js on a page with tabs it breaks the tabs. Any tips how I can fix it?

There are no JS errors reported. I use the jQuery UI on other pages without tabs too. I’ll keep looking for a fix.

I figured out the issue. jQuery UI has a .tabs() method just like your common.js has. I removed the tabs function from jQuery UI and now your tabs work.

Love this theme by the way. It has saved me a lot of time because you took care of some many different use cases.

blueowlcreative

Glad to hear you worked it out, mate! :)

How come the big overlay image on the PrettyPhoto[portfolio] Gallery doesn’t have responsive width when it pops up? It stays big when resizing the browser window. How can i make it width 100%?

Thank you

blueowlcreative

It’s a third party plugin, you may check on their page. Actually it is responsive in that it checks the screen width and makes the popup smaller, then you can click on the icon to make larger if you want.

Congratulations on a great theme…

I have one slight problem I was wondering if you could help me with. In IE8 when you move your mouse over an image the transparency does not work. You just get a charcoal grey box with the plus or camera icon. Works OK in Firefox and Google.

Thanks in advance for your reply

blueowlcreative

Hi there, Ugly IE, what can I say, they started to support semi-transparent PNGs just recently… :)

Default-user

Unfortunately I have customers who use older browsers hence why I was looking for a template that was meant to be IE8 compatible.

I don’t think this is an IE8 Png issue as you are using Jpgs on the Portfolio pages. It seems PrettyPhoto supports mouse over transparency in IE8 with their CSS so I have used that in your template to resolve the issue and it works fine.

I am encountering a problem with my header (logo image) resizing. I made it 900 px to create a header and it works great for all sizing except when you get to Ipad portrait size. The file is uploaded so you can see what I mean. The image just floats over the edge. Is there a way to correct this and still have the large header? http://tdodesign.com/ANG/

Thanks in advance! Great theme.

blueowlcreative

Hi there, lovely website, good job. Ok you need to simply add a CSS rule for max-width: 100%; in the responsive section for tablet, just like you have it for phone, the place to look is the bottom of your CSS file. :)

Default-user

Thank you for the quick response. I fixed the problem, but just noticed at some point I messed up the responsive code for the text in the image slider. Where would I find this code to fix it? Not sure how I managed that one.. :S

Default-user

Never mind. I figured out I just needed to change the font in the responsive. Thanks again for your help!

This template is great. My client wants to remove the responsive part of the template. Is there a way to do that?

blueowlcreative

Yes, by getting rid of the media queries in styles.css + skeleton.css :)

Hi, great theme. im building it into a modx template and am having a float issue on the menu when viewed portrait on an iPad? the contact button is dropping down. do you know why this might be? the url is www.innoveon.co.uk/index.php but you will have to view on an ipad to see the issue. your help with this would be much appreciated. thanks Will.

blueowlcreative

Hey,

You could resize the font-size a bit, make it smaller – only for the tablet responsive version in your styles.css – it’s in the bottom of the CSS file! ;)

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to either 1. Change the default zoom size on the pretty photo to the larger version and get rid of the middle step or 2. Change the script so that when you are at full size and advance the photo it doesn’t revert back to the smaller size. I looked over the css, but nothing jumped out at me.

Thanks!

blueowlcreative

Hi,

The default size of the prettyphoto is defined by the size of the viewport you are using (size of the screen). You could check this out though:

hi, i saw Drupal version of this template, are u the author this (Drupal) version

blueowlcreative

Hi,

Nope, I am partnering with another author, he supports the Drupal version using my design though. Cheers! :)

In a featured service carousel images , i would like to make 4 column 3 rows

can you please tell me the procedure that how to made it??

plz reply as soon as possible

blueowlcreative

3 rows? That carousel (or at least my implementation) doesn’t allow rows at all :)

Thanks for the great theme! How can I get rounded corners on the revolution slider? In your demo they are rounded, when I put in my own image they are not. Coudln’t find the setting anywhere…

blueowlcreative

My images are simply rounded! ;)
