Just purchased the HTML version, looks great. Is there a reason the XML file for the gallery doesn’t load locally when viewing on Chrome? It works in Firefox, just not Chrome. Receiving the following error in the console:

Received an invalid response. Origin 'null' is therefore not allowed access.

Yeah, I’m not sure, all I can say is to view it locally through FireFox, but Chrome is fine online : )

:) Hey my first happy purchase of a template on here. Egobuilders went out of their way to document this template. Kudos to EgoBuilders! I will be following this team..

Thank you nickmicale! Glad everything is made to your liking! : )

Hello, I bought your excellent theme today but I have a problem. It does not work correctly with Internet Explorer 11. Works perfectly with Chrome and Firefox. There is no parallax effect and videos gallery overlap. What is amazing: when I look at your theme demo on your site with my IE11 browser, it works perfectly. I do not understand where the problem is. I tested this problem with the unmodified original theme: same problem. Can you help me fix this very annoying problem? Thank you in advance for your answer. Good day. Regards, Mandrake.

egobuilders

Never heard of this problem before. I did get the message you emailed to me though.

Hi guys, is there a way to make the gallery full width across the screen? Obviously after i’ve moved the right box text.

Many thanks

egobuilders

Not in the HTML version, only in the WordPress Version.

Theme as is is broken for IE Badly. Easy fix for IE11

Comment out this line <meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=9” />

It makes IE work in emulated IE9 mode.

Or change it to <!- DISABLE COMPATIBILITY MODE -> <meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=edge” />

...

Othervise I would give the thme 3 stars. It’s good commented for beginners if they just want exactly the same layout as is. But SEO unfriendly – all links are in JS instead of HTML + you can not make direct link to a certain DIV ID (e.g. “page”), email have wrong code table set (Western ISO, but whole page is in UTF-8), and since there is welcome animation it cannot be done link to contact page (from gallery “info” text – it only goes to external site). And many moore.

But the biggest cumbersome issue is gallery. It’s fixed and with manual entering of so many parameters in XML. So 2000 technology.

I hope that all will be fixed. As for now theme is not for developers (too many limitations and bloated code), nor for newbies, because it does not work out from the box. Too bad.

Good evening. Just to tell you that it is not very cool to wait for a response to a problem that encounters template compatibility issues with IE11. I sent several emails with the link to your template online, and I sent screenshots to prove my good faith … Unfortunately I feel that some templates are sold on ThemeForest problems but they are still sold despite this. This is not a problem when there is a good after-sales service, but then there are more sound or images … Damage to collect the money and then do nothing to help the buyer. It really annoys me because you are not the only to do so on ThemeForest and it’s a shame. Fortunately, there are serious sellers with templates 100% functional. Regards.

Sorry I couldn’t help you sooner. I’m still making updates to this HTML version and the WordPress version. It’s easier to do one update for everyone instead of repeating the same fix 10 times : )

Today I realised that for browsers without JavaScript this template stucks at “loading” page :(

Cool item, nicely done!;

Thanks!

Hi egobuilders,

I have been waiting for a long time to find the updates/bugfixes here you have mentioned before to me (and to others as well). I am glad to see you’re using my happy comment as a testimonial – I do remember I was so glad to buy this template because of certain reasons. When I started the customization I found several bugs, we were corresponding, you’ve sent me an update directly, etc., etc.

But there is still a bug (I consider this as a bug) and this is a show-stopper for me and I still can’t use this template. Just to recall the case: When opening an image in the gallery and when opening the relevant text caption (pressing the “i” button) is is not possible to close the caption on small screen devices (the “x” button is not visible on screen). The navigation stucks and no menu or controlling item/button is visible/reachable. You can check this behaviour with Responsinator, as many developers consider this service as a competent one.

I think this is neither a browser compatibility question nor a device-dependent behaviour but a problem with responsibility.

Please correct me if I am wrong regarding the above written thoughts.

I bought this nice template a while ago and was waiting patiently for bugfixes in order to use it properly (that is, to upload it to my webhost and publish it). I hope you agree, dear egobuilders, it is a fair step from me to get to TF customer service and ask my money back.

Thanks and kind regards, fbyte

The solution to keeping the caption “close” button visible when viewing the gallery captions on small devices is to edit the responsive.css stylesheet, in regard to font-size and line-height. You could add this to the bottom of responsive.css @media screen and (max-width: 350px) { #gallery-title { font-size:25px; line-height:25px; } #gallery-description { font-size:15px; line-height:15px; } }

Hi, thaks for your latest efforts. I did what you suggested, have copied this piece of code to where you instructed. Still no success. What am I doing wrong?

The screen resolution of the smartphone I use to test this template is 480×800, I think it’s just an ordinary screen size. Neither in portrait (regular handheld) nor in landscape position is the caption closing “X” button visible (usable).

I am still stuck with this problem.

Cheers

The only thing I know to do would be for you to be to ZIP up the entire site and send it to me… http://www.sendazip.com

Hi, just purchased and made the usual changes. The videos aren’t working. Tried on both Chrome and Firefox. It loads the video perfectly, but doesn’t play?? I see the progress bar, and downloading progress. But the video doesn’t play. I tried putting all these formats: http://www.youtube.com/embed/cWDoCXJvOH4 or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcViNzqZMjE or (with https) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcViNzqZMjE

Same result each time.

2nd problem. When I browse from iPhone, I play one video (first video plays), and once I am done, it 4 disables the navigation buttons on the top. And since those are the only buttons to get back to the site, you pretty much are stuck, and cannot do much.

Pls help.

egobuilders

Issue #1 – The videos work for me… What OS and browser are you viewing it on? Mobile could take some time for the video to load.

Issue #2 – It is a long drawn out process testing for all the different OS’s, tablets, smartphones, browsers, etc. but I will look into it further.

Please send me an email at guitarfremont at gmail, will share you the screen rec from my browser. I am on MacOS, tried Firefox and Chrome. Now the FF seems to be working well, but still got issues with the HTML5 media player on Chrome. Talking of mobile, I tried on a Google Nexus as well – some video playback issues. There is one more issue too. When you play one video, you can click on the top arrow to go to next. I expect the video to be stopped/paused, but it keeps playing in bg. So if you now start the next video, both will be playing simultaneously (bizarre!). Sorry for reporting these issues publicly. Feel free to get in touch via email.

(But I love the theme a lot. Showed it to a friend, she totally loved the design).

egobuilders

It is not an HTML5 document, so I’m not sure what you mean in regard to “the HTML5 media player on Chrome”...

Also, the videos have to be manually stopped before skipping to the next one.
