Is there a way to make the main images lead to a blog post?

Thanks for the swift reply!
Regarding question 2:
If I enlarge the amount of categories in the CSS file to 12, do the categories still fit perfectly into the entire width of the portfolio page?
Hi Mega,
This depends a lot on how you want to approach this. If you just want to have 12-sub-portfolios (ie: weddings, portraits, etc.), all you need to do is add them inline and it should be fine – you might need to tinker with the font formatting to make the text fit 12 categories, but that depends on how long your category titles are. Adding them inside the gallery is a little more complex depending on how you want to manage that, but it’s possible as well.

Maybe changing the container height of the categories could be a solution: in that case the sub portfolio names are displayed in multiple rows? I’m new in PHP .
Well, the containers are set to flex – the actual slider itself has a fixed height that you can change pretty easily as well. If you pick up the theme (and get that awesome “Purchased” tag), I’ll be stoked to help you out on a line by line basis with anything that’s in my capacity to help with.
Cheers!

hi, is there a way to make a category part of the navigation at the top?
Sure – run a Wordpress codex search for the “list_categories” tag – then just drop it into the navigation section
It’ll look something like this (notice where I dropped in the cat tag):

Hi, great theme! However I’ve run into a problem and hope someone can help me out: I uploaded the dummy content and renamed some of the pages to suit my needs. However, even though they are populated with text content, none of it gets displayed. The footer section (with the torn paper effect that says “Return to Homepage”) is gone, and the bottom of the page shows up right underneath the navigation, with only the small slider area being shown. And somehow the logo at the top pf each page only displays the alt text…no image. This is the case for all pages except the homepage and portfolio page.
The odd thing is, the content for all those pages shows if I change the Template to “Full Width Text” instead of leaving them at the Default Template setting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
