This theme uses a custom post type for the albums so you need to input your posts into that with a featured image and an audio track.

Does “new album” mean the same thing as “new post”? I can add a featured image but I’m not sure how to add an audio track. Thanks!

Yes. Use the album shortcode as described in the docs for audio

I was able to get the [audio] player to display but it doesn’t play with a soundcloud link or with a song I’m hosting on my wordpress.

+ I’ve temporarily made all of my posts drafts and the 1 album I have made is not displaying. Perhaps it’s bc the player isn’t working correctly?

It won’t work with sound cloud, only self hosted. How did you use the shortcode?

Now it comes up as ERROR NOT FOUND. AKA

I deleted the album and re-did it and it still didnt work

I deactivated all of my plugins and that didn’t help

I just want 1 track playing, but i added the raw and it still gives me “nothing found” :/

The values are comma seperated, so for one track just add one. If it’s showing not found then check the location. Maybe a server permissions error?

It displays for a little bit and then if I change anything it goes back to 404. When it did work- it displayed the audio player as like 10 lines and the play didn’t work.

That’s the wrong shortcode. Use album not audio. Audio is for blog posts.

Ya I was using audio. Would you feel comfortable logging in and taking a look?

Now it plays but it’s still a ridiculous amount of lines long and the CD doesn’t show up on the homepage.

What problem?

I don’t how to get the player under the album cover. You can see it here http://verybadtrends.com/musiclab/. In addition, when I apply a filter on an album, the album is posted only on the first page, and no in category like “Chill” for example.

So you create a page using the album page template, then you create albums from the album custom post type, in the album you add tracks like so:

[album tracks='{mp3:"http:/path/to/file.mp3"}']

Adding more than one track is easy, just comma seperate:

[album tracks='{mp3:"http:/path/to/file.mp3"}, {mp3:"http:/path/to/file.mp3"}', {mp3:"http:/path/to/file.mp3"}'']

The filters just filter the albums, they dont click through anywhere. So if you have 8 albums in Chill and you click Chill it will filter all albums down to them.

Ok thanks for the player. Yes, I understand, but only one filter works, it’s “Découvertes”. I did the same for all albums and filters but the others filters are empty on the website.

And not all the albums are published…

Chill and Découvertes are working which probably means you’ve created filters but havent assigned albums to them.
