I am developing a website using Avada for National Parks Revealed. They have a flickr stream here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nationalparksrevealed/ but when I put in the username “nationalparksrevealed” in the flickr footer widget I just get “Invalid flickr username” where the photos should be. I have tried with my own flickr username so I know that the widget is working. Thoughts?

ThemeFusion

Hi :)

Hmmm, yeah I can verify it works as well. It needs to be the “screen name” which can be different than the username. But I dont see a screenname for that link you posted.

Are you able to see on in their account settings?

Default-user

I got their username and login and was able to go into Flickr and see what their real username was. Working now – thanks!

ThemeFusion

Ah wonderful! I was curious what happened with this, thanks for following up!

Thanks!

May I use multiple portfolio function to creative many subject pages and all of them have different fiters?

For example: First subject is Restaurant, the filers are Chinese, French, Japanese…... Second subject is Tour, the filers are Historical buildings, Museum, Natural landscape…..

ThemeFusion

Yes you certainly can :)

We have multiple portfolios and each portfolio can have a custom set of filters applied.

Check out our video tutorial on it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ks5L8t-5uDU

Hey there,

I’m looking for a theme for our new website. Avada seems really good. Is the theme Multilingual ready? Will the theme work with a plugin like WPML (wpml.org)?

Thank you, Damien

ThemeFusion

Hi Damien :)

Yes it works with WPML but we have not setup a demo site for it, but other users have been able to use it without issue. We also provide 4 translations right now and are going to be adding more in the near future.

Thanks!

Just purchased as I can’t wait to get this theme going.

Quick question. I have a ‘prints’ section right now that I use tables to format. Pain in the ass in WP for sure.

http://www.michaelking.ca/prints/

With your theme can you think of what the best way to do this would be?

ThemeFusion

Thanks for the purchase! Glad to know you are excited too!

Hmmm, you could use 1/4 columns and place all your content into each column. I would avoid the tables if possible for sure.

Or if you want the tables, you could use a plugin to make it easier. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easy-table/

I’ve installed this template but I’m not getting to load properly the XML file. All demo data appear on my website, but the menus are not appearing nested (submenus are being display as top menus).

Some idea about how to fix it? I would like to have the same interface as the demo to view how this plugin works…

I’m also needing to translate it to pt_BR. How can I do it?

ThemeFusion

Hi :)

Yes you need to complete that step in the process. Here is the step from our documentation …

“Now navigate to WP Admin > Appearance > Menus page and select menu called “Main” and assign it to “Main Navigation” location”.

For translating, see section “W. How To Translate” in our documentation file.

To open our docs, fid the “documentation” folder in your package you downloaded. Inside is a “index.html” file, double click it to open it in your browser, its all organized with a table of contents and easy to navigate.

Hello! Where do I change the width of the Sub-menus so that the text does not show overlapping the other options?

Thank you! Dina

ThemeFusion

Hi Dina :)

We have adjusted this in our new upcoming theme version so the text will not overlap.

For now, you can enter this custom CSS in the CSS field in theme options. Just change the width to your needs, the default is 176px.

#nav ul ul {  width: 170px; }

Hi there! I tried inserting the CSS Code you provided to change the background colors for header, main background, and footer – but it’s not working. I included this in the Custom CSS in the Theme Options as you instructed….

Below is the code I inserted – am I missing something?

Please advise! Thank you so much!!

#header {background-color: #0B173B;}  { background: url(page_title_bg.png) ; }
#main {background-color: #D8D8D8;} { background: url(image.png) ; }
.footer-area {
    background-color: #0B173B;
    border-top: 12px solid #680707;
}

#footer {
    background-color: #0B173B;
    border-top: 1px solid #4B4C4D;
}
ThemeFusion

Oops I’m sorry, there was a mistake in the header and main CSS and it probably messed up the other. Use this below

To change the header background color, use the below CSS and put it in the CSS field in theme options. Use the color of your choice.

#header {background-color: #ffffff;}

To change the main background color, use the below CSS and put it in the CSS field in theme options. Use the color of your choice.

#main {background-color: #ffffff;}

Footer: The first color value will change the main area, the second value changes the 12px top border

.footer-area {
    background-color: #363839;
    border-top: 12px solid #E9EAEE;
}

Footer: This first value changes the bottom copyright bar color, the second color changes the thin border color

#footer {
    background-color: #282A2B;
    border-top: 1px solid #4B4C4D;
}

If you still have trouble with it, email me your login info. But the above CSS will work. To email me, Visit the link below and find the “email theme fusion” box on the lower right hand side, send us an email with your URL, username and password along with a brief description of the issue so we can look into it for you.

Hi Luke, I’m in the middle of migrating a 200 page website over to Avada theme, much of the migration “grunt work” I’m doing now might be done differently (or delayed until after new theme version) depending on what’s gonna be in the new version. Can you give me a short list of some of the new features?

Will the new version will have any other accordion types?

thx!

ThemeFusion

Hi Friend :)

There will not be any new accordion types. It will have the same ones we do now, faq’s and then the shortcode.

Send me an email and I can let you know.

Where do I change the background color of the header section where the logo is located, and the footer as well?

ThemeFusion

We’re adding these areas to our theme options in a future release, very soon. For now, here is the CSS for different sections.

To change the header background color, use the below CSS and put it in the CSS field in theme options. Use the color of your choice.

#header {background-color: #ffffff;}  { background: url(image.png) ; }

To change the main background color, use the below CSS and put it in the CSS field in theme options. Use the color of your choice.

#main {background-color: #ffffff;} { background: url(image.png) ; }

Change Colors of Footer Section

The first color value on background will change the main area, the second value changes the 12px top border

.footer-area {

    background-color: #363839;

    border-top: 12px solid #E9EAEE;

}

This first value changes the bottom copyright bar color, the second color changes the thin border color

#footer {

    background-color: #282A2B;

    border-top: 1px solid #4B4C4D;

}

Thanks!

Hi there,

thank you for this really great theme! Just one question: I couldn´t find an option to implement two different sliders on one page- would like to have the revolution slider as header above and tfslider at bottom for “clients-slider”. in the backend i can only chose one single slider….

Greetings, Melanie

ThemeFusion

Hi :)

You can always put the main slider up top by selecting it in the page options as you have already found I think.

Then in the post content field, you can use shortcodes. We have a client-slider shortcode, jus click it and enter your image URLs and links.

All our shortcodes are the second row of icons in the visual editor. Hover over each one to see the name, then click the one you want and populate the content if needed. The client slider is towards the end on the right side.

Also, the rev slider and layer slider give you a shortcode with each one you make, you can insert those in the post content field as well.

Nice and easy :)

And be sure to check out our documentation file, we ahve a shortcdoes section and a video tutorial that gives you additional info on the shortcodes.

Thanks!

Hi, I would like to use the font – great viber, but can not install it on revoulution slider, please help. Thank you!

ThemeFusion

Hi Emily :)

Is that a google font? If so, then you just need to add it to the style sheet in the rev slider settings. Click to “edit CSS”, then add the font-family.

You will be able to see the other styles there and the fonts they have assigned. Just change out the name for the one you are using, or make a new style for it. Just be sure to use the exact name of the font. If its not a google font then you would need to upload the custom font to the custom font fields via theme options, there are 4 font files you need to upload.

Please see the “Museo Slab” font section of our docs for info on how to upload a custom font to theme options if needed.

Hi,

You use some great images in your sliders… is it possible to list the images used in resources so we can purchase those we so desire?

Thanks!

ThemeFusion

Hi, thanks :) We dont have a list but I can track them down for the ones you want. A lot of the preview images come from Creattica.com and are only for preview, they cant be purchased. But some of the others are from stock sites.

Send me an email and I will track down the filenames and stock site. Visit the link below and find the “email theme fusion” box on the lower right hand side, send us an email with your request.

Can I change the title ‘Related Projects’ to say something else? We are a travel company so would love to say ‘Suggested Tours or Similar Tours’.

I have found how to change ‘Recent Works’ in the Blog sidebar, but can’t seem to change ‘Related Projects’ on the Portfolio page.

Thanks for your help.

Daniel

ThemeFusion

Hi Daniel!

That is a shortcode that is hard coded, so you would need to change that in the PHP files.

The “related projects” shows up in two areas, on single portfolio post pages and single blog pages.

To change on portfolio posts, edit “single_avada-portfolio.php” and look for “related projects text and change the name

To change on blog posts, edit “single.php” and look for “related projects text and change the name.

Hi. I have made several sites using other themes but have no coding or even photoshop skills. I have figured out how to re-size images using Picasa. But my question is whether you can explain any easy way or cheap program that I could learn fairly easily to cut out photographs to use in your Avada design. My husband likes this one and my inability to cut out photos is the only thing stopping us from buying. All of your home pages seem to rely on these cut out designs so I thought I would ask. Thanks!

ThemeFusion

Hi :)

The only cut out images we have are the ones in the animated sliders, and you do not need to do that to use the theme. All other images you see on the site are regular boxed images. The animated sliders on the home pages, use some cut out images, but you dont need to, you can insert large full images or even small boxed ones if you wish. Cut out images are not a requirement. And we have video tutorials for each slider that show you how to build them, but the cut out images are already cut out when you build the slide. Check out our video tutorials … https://www.youtube.com/user/ThemeFusionVideos/videos

BUt if you wanted to, then I would suggest Photoshop, either the regular “Photoshop” version or even “Photoshop Elements”. There is also a free open source app called “Gimp” that will allow you to easily remove backgrounds from images.

Thanks!

hi. i really like your theme. but i’m new guy in town, don’t understand to much with the script. do you have a plan to add drag & drop feature in pages or posts? so newbie like me will much easier to use your theme. thanks.

ThemeFusion

Hi :)

We are possibly going to add a page builder to the theme but it would be in the future release. But for now, pages are built using shortcodes, its easy to do. All future updates are free once you buy the theme, but I cant say when the page builder would be done.

Is there a character limit for the dropdown menus? My type is getting forced to wrap, which is causing the menu to look garbled.

http://wwwdev.azurewebsites.net
ThemeFusion

No character limit but the height is currently fixed, but we have changed that and it will be included in our new v2.1 release coming in next week. But I dont see where its doing that on your site, or did you remove it?

To fix this, insert this CSS in the CSS field in theme options.

wrapper #nav ul li ul li a { height: auto; }

That will take care of it :)

#wrapper #nav ul li ul li a { height: auto; }

That helped with the garbling. But, the text still breaks into two lines

ThemeFusion

Oh, you dont want it in two lines? I thought you wanted the longer titles on two lines.

To make the dropdown box wider, use the below CSS, the default width is 176px, so 200px will work for you. If you need it longer then make it a larger number.

#nav ul ul { width: 200px; }

Thanks!

Eureka! Thanks!

ThemeFusion

Woo hoo!

Sorry I misunderstood you at first, but we finally got there! We’re going to be adding these CSS changes as theme options in a future release. That way custom CSS is not needed, that should make it easier for those with longer page names.

Thanks!

The documentation of avada provides a link to a support forum and knowledgeable. But my license code is not working when I try to create an account to get access. Is theme-fusion not associated with the purchase I made here?

As to my problem, when I create a header on the home page, for the different sections, I’d like for the double lined divider to appear next to the section title (see “Latest from the blog” and “What clients say” here http://themeforest.net/item/avada-responsive-multipurpose-theme/full_screen_preview/2833226). Is there a setting I need to enable somewhere? I’m using an h2 header, but it’s blank on my site. Thanks for any help to fix this.

ThemeFusion

Hi :)

Yes it works with your Themeforest username. To setup your support account, you need to follow the 2 steps in the docs and on the sign up page.

To access our forum, you need to create a free account. To create an account, you need to use 2 things.

1. The same themeforest username that you bought avada with

2. Your purchase code located in the license certificate.

Click Here To Create A Free Account

Click Here To See How To Find Your Purchase Code

For your issue, we have a shortcode for the headers. Its the [title] shortcode. look for the H1 button in the visual editor. All our shortcode buttons are on the second row of icons. Just click the button and insert your title and then your title size, from h1-h6.

Looks like this

[title size="1 to 6"]Title[/title]

Thanks!

Default-user

Thank you very much for pointing the title thing out. I got it to work. Thank you also for explaining that I needed to use the same themeforest username to create an account at theme-fusion.

ThemeFusion

No problem, things like that are easy to miss. Its the little things that always cause questions, we even do it ourselves :)

Thanks!
