Hi, I’m considering your product. 1) Does your theme allow for the builder to “disable” or “not include” the “Shopping cart, Check out, and My Account” plugins/features? 2) Will your theme play well with “Paid Memberships Pro” and “WP Courseware”? I am a tutoring service and will need to integrate these two products into my theme. Thanks!

ThemeFusion

Hey!

1. The theme does not have a page builder if that is what you are asking. And it uses WooCommerce for the shop, so anything you can do with WooCommerce, you can do with Avada. I do know that if you do not add a price, tehn thre is no option to add it to the cart.

2. We’ve not used those plugins so I can’t say for certain, but it should not be a problem. I do know that other users have used DAP membership plugin

Hope this helps!

Client slider: how do you make it grey and sexy looking like yours? What is the best size to resize the logos so they are even as per your example?

Testimonials: is there a way to slow down the transitions?

ThemeFusion

Hey!

Ours are 156px wide by 113px tall. And we made them back and white in an image editing program.

Yes you can slow down testimonial slider in theme options, on the extras tab.

Hi,

I like your template.

Can I reduce the page size? We want the page size to not exceed 300-400 kb. We would not like to use any flash, would like to use minimum images and would not like to use an external font file. Will template work in that case?

Thanks,

ThemeFusion

Sorry just to clarify, you can upload a custom font, but it will be done via theme options in the WP backend. If you need to load an external font outside of the theme or WP backend, then that would require a customization.

Default-user

I used webpagetest.org (chrome as default browser) to find out page size.It says http://themes.googleusercontent.com/static/fonts/ptsans/v5/HXiERDIZdwFzjXlbcMq7XPesZW2xOQ-xsNqO47m55DA.woff & http://themes.googleusercontent.com/static/fonts/ptsans/v5/jduSEW07_j4sIG_ERxiq4Q.woff font is occupying 200-400kb.Everytime the font gets download. Is it possible to download that font directly?[Will it affect page size?]

I want my webpage size to be less then 400kb.

ThemeFusion

That is PT sans font from Google fonts, you do not have to use that if you do not want to, you’re best option is to use a standard font instead, see this http://d.pr/i/HDAx

Updates yesterday! Let us know what was updated. Thank you for this great theme.

ThemeFusion

Yesterdays update was a quick patch for an issue with gravity forms and excerpts. It was only a small patch. Our big update, v3.2 is coming in about 5-7 days and includes the shortcode generator among many other new features.

Also, you can find all of this out on our support forum, its the best place to get information.

Hi there!

Just one quick question before purchasing, is it possible to change the header font? I’ve seen you can customize the header but you always maitain the same font so…

cheers!

ThemeFusion

Yes, we maintain the same font all throughout the site, that is for design harmony :) You can change the font of anything you wish throughout the site

Hello, I have a question : if I install wordpress on my computer (local, work on this theme (local), then copy the files theme on my server, will it work ?

This may be a stupid question, but I am not a developper :)

Thaks for your answer !

ThemeFusion

Hey!

Yes that will work, you can build the theme locally, then move it to your live server.

Thanks!

hi please can you help me, i need to get the sticky header option in my clients website who is using version v3.0.1. dont want to upgrade thw whole of her theme as its been modified a fair bit and is a massive site so would be worrried i broke it! so all i need to include is the sticky header feature so what would i need to do? chris

ThemeFusion

Hey Chris!

Unfortunately you would need to upgrade the theme, there is not just one or two files needed for the sticky header. If you are code savvy then you can take a look at the latest theme and see how we implemented it, and try to move it to your build, but it will be a pretty big job.

Thanks!

Migrate AVADA to an other server fails!

I moved my AVADA-site to an other server – all Theme Option-Settings were lost. Is it because the theme options are stored in serialized arrays? I dont want to write down all the theme options and change them once the site is migrated. Can you name me a tool or plugin to move my site with all stored theme options?!

ThemeFusion

Hi Jan,

All you need to do is back up your theme options. If you need assistance with that or have further questions, please signup and post on our support forum.

Also, there is no need to right in headlines here, we see and answer each comment ;)

Thanks

Default-user

Thank you for the support. I got it working with an serialized arrays tool. Search and replace in the DB failed so I had to use a special tool for this. It’s working and I could migrate the theme options as well. HAPPY!

Tool I used: http://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/

ThemeFusion

Cool thanks for the feedback :)

Hello,

Wordpress 3.7 coming soon. It will be compatible?.

Thank you!

ThemeFusion

Hey :) We are running it on our test sites and no issues reported.

This theme’s poorly coded… I have one page set up with some light content and shortcode tab.

It takes over 5 seconds to load the page. It pours out 1388 lines of code inside the header mata tags.

119 validation errors in the css files 40 errors in the html5 markup code.

Never mind, the fancy short code generator or the page builder, spend your time on fixing the css and html5 code first.

Even trying to just input a little css change into the theme will not take. Never been so disappointed in a theme.

ThemeFusion

Woodcutter,

No, its not poorly coded. Its a big theme with a lot of options. And lines of code in the header do not matter as you think they do , and they are all needed.

For speed, you can disable any features you are not using on the extras tab. If its taking 5 seconds to load, then something is wrong on your end, either with content, plugins or hosting.

You can clearly see from our demo that speed is not an issue.

And yes we are always removing any validation errors on a routine basis, a lot of those come from plugins also, and all HTML 5 validation services are not completely up-to-date either, and some even have a note about this on their validation page. With any complex CMS systems like WordPress there are going to be validation errors. Consider this: If you look at just WordPress with Avada out of the box, there are only three or four validation errors; none of which will cause your search rankings to suffer. Now add third party plugins, user generated content, etc and you will have more. Yes, there are some CSS3 validation errors, and we correct those on a routine basis. However, invalid CSS would not create any search engine issues indexing issues that I know of.

Complex CMS software can be a real bear when it comes to maintaining perfectly valid markup because there are so many variables involved. For example, I noticed that tinymce editor often adds extraneous and sometimes orphan tags. And many third party plugins do not output in valid markup, nor do third party external services like maps and such.

If you need assistance with any of this, please post on our forum and you can interact directly with our developer.

Thanks

ThemeFusion

And we’d love to see your one page that takes 5 seconds to load, and also a list of what you have running in the backend. Please create a new topic on our forum, and we will gladly take a look and see what the issue is. 5 seconds is not right, our demo is loaded with content and does not take that long. Its very fast actually.

ThemeFusion

About your custom CSS, adding it to theme options will work, in some cases you may need to add the !important tag to it. We have a VERY extensive theme options panel so the vast majority of users do not need to use custom CSS. Because of the advanced style options, some of the CSS needs to be marked as !important to establish hierarchy.

do you have a developer license or an extended license? ... do you have a license that allows use of your theme for sites that charge a monthly / one-time / ad hoc fees?

do you have a link that details your licensing options?

ThemeFusion

Hey!

There is a developers license but its disabled at the moment. You can read about both single and developer licenses here, http://themeforest.net/licenses

I would also ask THemeforest support about the licensing questions, they can give you 100% confirmation. You can fill out a Themeforest support ticket here, please note that is only for Themeforest and not theme support. http://themeforest.net/support

Hello,

I’m trying to make the caption and descriptions visible when the lightbox is activated. I enabled the settings within the Theme Options, but the caption and description still are not showing up in the lightbox.

How can I go about making the caption and description visible?

Thanks!

ThemeFusion

Hey,

Enabling the options should work as long as a caption and description are entered. Please make sure to clear cache and double check that the image has those set.

If the issue persists, please post this up on our support forum and our support team will take good care of you. Create a new topic with the above info, then post a second reply with your username/password and mark it as a “private” reply so only we will see those credentials and will be able to login and check the issue.

Pre-purchase question:

Would I have the ability to change the height of the sliders? I see there is an option for the width, but I’m not sure about the height. I don’t want the slider to take up the whole page.

Thanks!

ThemeFusion

Yes you can change the height of the layer, revolution, elastic slider. The flexslider and themefusion slider will adapt to the height of your image or video automatically.

Thanks!

Quisera know if you can hide the shopping cart from the top and if it includes cart widget.

I think using your topic but I need the store in one of the other separate page so my question if it includes cart widget.

Thank you!

ThemeFusion

You can disable the shopping cart from both the top or main menu. It uses WooCommerce plugin, so anything that comes with the plugin is doable and included.

Thanks!

COOL and AMAZING !!! CONGRAT’S !

ThemeFusion

Thanks Koronz, we appreciate it :)

We’ve run this theme for the last year and it’s been great! We’re running v1.1 and would like to upgrade to v3.x to get all the new great features. Our developer has made changes to the all.css file to teak the theme. If we transpose those updates to the new all.css, will we be able to easily upgrade?

Thanks in advance!

ThemeFusion

Hey!

Wow, we love to see a 1X version user! Yes going from 1x to a 3x is a big change, and the all.css file is replaced when updating so those changes would be lost. THe best way to insert CSS is in the CSS field in theme options, that way it will not be overwritten. BUt that is a new feature of 2.0 and higher.

Check out these two links on our support forum, you will definitely want to check out the Important udpate info, a lot has changed since then.

HOW TO UPDATE YOUR THEME

IMPORTANT UPDATE INFORMATION

And its always good to export your layer sliders if you have some made, and backup any other custom code you have.

Default-user

Thanks, we’ve loved the theme which is why we’re eager to get the new features. Couple questions:

1. Most of the changes were made to the header and footer. Are the names of the tags still the same in the new version that if we add the changes we made to the Custom CSS field that they’ll transfer.

2. Our plan is to update the site on a staging server then use the “Transfer Theme Options Data” feature to get all the settings over to the live site after the theme has been updated. My understanding is that we’ll just have to fix widgets but otherwise, everything else should be in tact. Is that accurate?

Thanks for your continued development and support of this theme. I’m positively blown away by the new features – outstanding job to the whole team!

ThemeFusion

Hey!

1. Hmmm, for the most part yes, but a lot has changed and we can’t guarantee that its identical. We’ve had probably 15 updates since then.

2. Well the old 1X versions use a different theme options panel. In 2X and higher its different so transferring theme options may not go smoothly. You are using a 1X version that does not look like this? http://d.pr/i/TgTn

Thanks again, you will love our v3.2 update even more coming in about 5 days!

Can we turn off the cart and use this as a catalog only?

ThemeFusion

It uses WooCommerce plugin, so anything you can do with Woo is doable. I know that if you do not enter a price on the items, then the cart will not show up. There are also plugins you can use to remove or hide the add to cart buttons.

Updating from Version 2.1.3 I’m sure this is been covered in the forms but unfortunately cannot find it and I hope it’s not a repeat post. I have my site on my local server, I downloaded the new zip file and extracted it. Grab the new Avada folder copied it over the directory simulating an FTP upload. I read in a post here that I needed to deactivate these two sliders: “Also, you will need to deactivate the “layer slider” and “woo slider” plugin and remove them. Then install the new ones which will be Layer slider 3.5 and FlexSlide” I don’t remember seeing woo slider in 2.1.3 My question is how to deactivate the two sliders in version 2.1.3 and properly update the theme. The reason why I ask this is that when I loaded a different theme. Uploaded the new version of Avada and activated it in appearance/sub themes.. My site was all messed up. Regards, Jeff

ThemeFusion

Version 2.1.3 has all plugins integrated already, so you do not need to deactivate anything. THe latest version has the revolution slider as a standalone plugin, so your built in one is auto disabled, then you get a message to activate the new one.

Check out the latest topics on updating on our forum, the one you are reading is older.

HOW TO UPDATE YOUR THEME

IMPORTANT UPDATE INFORMATION

When you update from 2.1.3, you may see line-height values low, meaning your text is scrunched together. All that is are new line-height settings on typography tab in theme options, you only need to go to theme options and set the default values that show next to the fields.

If anything else comes up when updating, fill out a thread on our forum and we can help you out. Create a free account there, then create a new topic with your questions and we will be with you promptly.

Do I need to do the small gravity forms update, or can I wait for the larger update and assume the gravity forms update will be included in that as well?

ThemeFusion

Yes the gravity forms update will be included from here on out, but you don’t need to wait if you do not want to, v3.1.2 is just a small patch update for GF and an excerpt issue. But its your call, you can wait until next week when the 3.2 update is out :)

Comments before buying, I need this template to use with a domain ive got with another template. Basically i bought another domain just to build it up. Can i change the domain after it is done? Tks

ThemeFusion

Sure, no problem :)
