Good Work, GLWS
Good job!Good luck
Really beautiful and useful ghost-layout.
Well Done Louis!
Thanks man. Cheers!
Can someone please instruct me on adding the appropriate links to the social media icons? Thank you?
Hi LaurelRose72, open the “avante” folder and find a sub-folder called “partials”. From there open “social.hbs”, starting from line #2 add your social media URL’s on the href attribute. Furthermore, you can check the instructions on the theme’s documentation which is included on the download(see “Social Media Profiles” section).
Hi – this is a beautiful theme; I just bought it tonight and am working on customizing it a little for my recipes. However, I am having trouble getting my edited tag choices to show up in the Filter By section. When I update the text in the avanti>index.hbs file and reload Ghost, the tags completely disappear from the site. I use a Mac and am making the changes in TextEdit. Other small test changes (such as capitalizing Filter By to all caps) do show up properly when I reload the file. Do you know why this might be happening and how to fix it? Thanks!
Hi annavla, thanks for purchasing the theme! Just one question, have you added a tag on each of your posts? The TAG must match whatever you include on index.hbs. If you need further assistance, please head on to our support forum (http://cheriomedia.com/support/) so we can better help you. Thanks!
Hi – no, the posts are untagged right now, but the issue is really that the bar containing the options is disappearing. Just to test, I changed the tag for MAIN to something else, reloaded it, and the whole thing disappeared—but the tags I didn’t modify are still there. When I tag things using the tags in the theme, they filter fine, so it’s more an issue of getting them to display in the site.
Here is an example of what it looks like when I try to update the MAIN and SIDES tags to say something else… vanished.
Also, I registered at your forum, but the email containing my password never arrived (it’s not in spam). When I click lost password it tells me the e-mail cannot be sent…
We’ve sent you your password on your email. Login to your account and create a topic on your issue and upload your index.hbs file so we can take a look at it.
i have bought your beautiful theme. Have you plan an update your theme? I like to see ghost 0.4 features like static pages and so one
Hi yes thanks for purchasing the theme. Will send an update next week and you’ll be notified. Thanks!
Thanks for the theme, great job!
There is a annoying bug which happen all the time on nexus5 phone and can be reproduce on browser too (Chrome & Firefox).
1) Reduce your screen to a mobile size
2) Open http://avante.cheriomedia.com/ and scroll down to the middle
3) then reload the page (CRTL-R)
You will notice you cannot scroll up or down, the scroller get disabled and you are stuck to the current page. Same behavior happen on mobile as soon as you open the page which is much more annoying.
I tried to upgrade jquery.nicescroll.js to their last version but this didn’t help to solve the problem.
Any ideas ? input how to solve this?
Hi areski, thanks for purchasing the theme and for pointing this bug you found. I will try to recreate this and see what we can do about this. You’ll be notified. Thanks!
Thanks for the fix, that was quick and it does the job well. I noticed some strange behavior with the tag filter position but I can live with this.
No problem cheers!
Great looking theme!
Thinking about purchasing but the sticky menus look a little buggy as you scroll down the page and it overlays the Isotope section. I’m testing in Chrome. Seems the scripts might conflict a little with each other??
Hi jonxchew, thanks for your interest on the theme. I will note this bug and will add the fix on the next release. Thanks
Hi again. I’ve been using this theme for some time now and I really love it, it’s worked out great. However, I have one issue that I’m curious about now that I’ve used it for awhile.
I use the ![main-image] markup in every post because I want to see the grid of pictures on my front page. I do recipes, and I feature the whole photo inside the post. However, I was getting complaints of very slow load times, because to look good as a banner in-post the pictures had to be huge. Now, in order to make the file small enough to load quickly on the front page, it is severely reduced in quality when blown up on the post page.
Is there a way to remove this feature so that I have a header on my front page, can still use the ![main-image] markup to feature a photo for each post on the front page grid, but disable the blown-up headers on individual posts so I don’t have to put the main image there?
