I love this theme, I noticed that you guys have your blog post separated by different pages (ie. technology, movies, etc.) I was wondering how I might be able to do the same?

Hi, i have a problem with a page based on blog template.

My problem is 1-I added a page 2-I selected blog on page templates part 3-My page shows only 5 posts and it shows page navigation numbers under postst.

But i need to show 10-11 posts on my custom page. How can i do this ?

Summary I have to add custom page based on blog templeate and i need to show 10- 11 posts on per pages.

Hi, I just found this theme, it’s exactly what I am looking for! I do have a question about ads before I purchase it: does it support a number of ads that can be placed on the main page? I am somewhat new to blogging, not sure if ads were able to be placed on this theme…

can we get the demo export xml file to import for quick setup from the demo page? please

@ randowens1 simply create categories for your blog posts and drag them to the custom menu in wp-admin > Appearance > Menus

@ globalroamer You can add the top ad through the theme options and and ads to the widgetized areas through text widgets with html code.

I am having a conflict between the Avenue Theme and the WP Movie Rating plugin. If you look at the source code for this page: http://www.breigh.com/wordpress/reviews You can see that somehow a is being added after each line, which makes the output come out totally wrong.

I deactivated all other plugins and nothing changed, I then switched to different themes and it works fine on all of them. So I have narrowed it down to an issue with the Avenue theme. I can’t figure out what is causing it though.

If someone could help me that would be great!

@ Ngalido there could be several reasons why it’s not working – please open a ticket in the support system and let me know your login details so I can check it out.

@ Xammy2000 Sorry it’s hard for us to help if plugins are badly coded and break the theme. Avenue is a really advanced theme and will require plugins to be coded with great responsibility. You could contact the plugin developer and ask him to put the plugin to a professional level or hire somebody to fix the plugin for you, but then changes will be lost once you update the plugin.

Umm I’m not really sure that is the problem, Mel. I’ve tried it with a few other themes I have (From Solostream.com, which are professional themes with fantastic support) plus various others, and the plugin works fine. I’ve searched the database and comments from the plugin and nobody else is having this problem. So I can’t help but think that there is something in the avenue theme that is triggering this response.

By process of elimination the problem is the theme, yet I can’t seem to figure out what it is in the theme that is causing it. It’s kind of easy to just claim it’s a badly coded plugin, isn’t it? Without actually looking into it? That’s not really support, in my opinion. I got support from the plugin author, who looked into it with me… but I don’t seem to be getting it from the theme author, why is that?

I didn’t pay for the plugin, I DID , however, pay for this theme and the support that is supposed to go along with it.

Bought the theme, let’s hope everything goes well Cheers !

Hi their i delved into your function.php file and created a custom field for widget area in admin and it worked. But my question for you is how do I call that new widget area on a page say single.php. I know you don’t help with customization issues but its just one small question thanks in advance.
