Not on the homepage, but the “portfolio” page you can enabled pagination. You can always add it to the homepage, but that’s something that would go beyond the scope of support for the theme.

Pre-purchase questions:
1. for the home page filtering project categories, can it be set so when the + on the thumb is clicked, it takes a viewer to a full page version of the “project”? Instead of the excerpt pop up that shows up above the portfolio?
2. Can you make “projects” that have a thumb, but do not take the image and put it above the copy of the project? I am working with VERY small images so I want to use them as thumbs only, but have the projects be only copy.

1. Yep! You just need to comment out or remove a line in the javascript file and it will automatically navigate to the single portfolio page instead.
2. I’m not exactly sure what you’re asking here. Are you looking to remove the images from the single project page and only show the thumbnail on the homepage? You can do that, with some custom css in the Theme Options panel to remove the image/slideshow from the portfolio item.

Unfortunately, there are no social media icons included in the theme. However, it wouldn’t be very difficult to add these. You’d just need to upload the icon images to your media library, then just add them to any content area.

Nothing specific to the theme. Just make sure your server can properly run WordPress and has all the requirements needed.

I’ve got a couple of questions before purchasing:
1) To show the effetcs animation is this theme using only Ajax / JS ? No CSS3?
2) If i edit the top big titles, logos and other elements, are those animations fully compatible with customizations?
3) In the contact page, is it possible to include a personal big Google Map instead of showing only in the right sidebar? Need to download an external plugin fot that?

I’m glad you like it! I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
1) That would involve some more extensive modifications that would exceed the scope of support for the theme.
2) The animations you see use the animate.css library:

You can customize those animations just by changing the class (from fadeInUp to flipInX for instance).
3) You can embed a google map wherever you want. It’s super easy to put a larger one above the contact form. Just go to google maps, type in an address and click the “link” icon in the upper left. It gives you embed code that you can just paste right in your content area.

The homepage thumbnails are the only images that are set to crop. You can change that size to whatever you want. The other images can be set to not crop – they will only be resized to fit the layout but keep their original aspect ratio.

Can you let the portfolio show up on multiple pages? Like, besides the homepage, also another page called “portfolio”?

You can change the number of thumbs in the column if you want. However, it would involve some minor changes to the theme. It’s possible, but you’d need to edit one of the theme files to get that to work.

Do you mean a lightbox? Yep! That’s just an option within the Theme Options panel. Just check that option and clicking on images in a slideshow will open them up in a lightbox gallery.

I bought the theme and am having trouble with the homepage: every time I make a new page (unparented) the new page shows up on the homepage. I want only my upper right header navigation and images to show up from my portfolio and everything I’ve been doing hasn’t fixed this. I have also disabled the news section at the bottom to prevent any pages from popping up in the news stream.

I just took a look. What info is appearing on the homepage? Or are you having trouble controlling your menu? Are you talking about the “A genuine need for exploration ” part? Where did you add this in your backend? If you added this into your content area of your homepage, it will show up there.

The info that is appearing is the “A genuine need for exploration” part. I published that page (as well as testing with other new pages), intentionally not wanting it on the homepage, and it shows up on the front homepage regardless of what settings I do when publishing that page (even with or without a parent).
Everything so far within the theme has been great to setup but I’m at a roadblock adding content due to this problem.

You mean have a “featured image” for the thumbnail that doesn’t appear in the slideshow? Yes, however, you’d need to make a small modification to the theme to get that to work. It’s not super difficult, but you’d need to edit theme files.

Yep! HTML works in there. Just make sure you use double quotes. You also might want to add the “scale-with-grid” class to your banner image so it’s responsive with the site.

You’d need to make some modifications to the theme to get this to work. I recommend creating a “child theme” so you don’t lose any changes if you want to update. If you’re using verison 1.3 of the theme, copy template-home.php into your child theme folder and replace the contents with this:

You’ll need to remove some javascript from custom.js.php. Just open that file (in the js folder) and find and remove this line:
It should be around line 369 or so. Then resave your theme options and clear you browser cache and you should see the hover go away.

Prior purchasing this item, I would like to ask following questions.
1. Does this theme support multi-language post? Preferably, qTranslate because it’s free and I have experienced.
2. I like how thumbnail images also creates slides. However, it seems to flicker on iOS devices or slower devices. Is there an option to kill that animation depending on devices?

1. Not currently. It is fully-translatable, but ML plugins have a hard time with the ajax requests.
2. What flicker are you talking about? You can kill those slideshows across the board, but you’d need to do some browser detection javascript to detect devices and load the script depending.
3. Yes, that’s correct. News items are posts and portfolio items are a custom post type called “portfolio”. You can always change “portfolio” in the url slug to whatever you want.

4. Which animation are you talking about? On the homepage? That just toggles the height before loading the next post. You may be able to change it, but that would involve javascript changes to the theme that would exceed the scope of support.

1. This is unfortunate but thanks for your answer 2. I’ve witnessed portfolio thumbnails flickering once in a slideshow loop. It may be just because the device I saw was with iPhone 4 and iPad 2 and were not capable of smooth GPU process. So I may just put a code to detect smaller devices to kill the thumbnail animations. 4. Thanks. As long as you could tell where this animation takes place in the code files, I can take a look by myself. Would that be part of support?

First, be sure you haven’t edited any theme files. If you have, be sure to back up your theme and put those files into a Child Theme, before you update. Here’s some more information on how to create a child theme:

The easiest way to update is via the Wordpress Admin panel. First, switch back to the default (twenty-twelve) theme momentarily. Then, delete (yes, delete) your current theme. Then download and install the latest version of the theme like you did initially. All settings/content is stored in the database (not in the theme files) so you won’t loose any data. Although, it’s always a good idea to back up your data via Settings > Export just in case pigs fly.
