I want to use your theme to make a web for a jewelry designer. It wil be something like a catalog of their designs. I will have categories of designs. Do you think that this theme could help me to do that? here is a simple sketch: http://www.parraud.com.ar/users/varios/ZZ5B6506CF.jpg
thanks
Hi Mparraud,
With some small modifications to the theme, you could achieve the layout that you’ve provided. However, that decision is completely up to you – I’m not exactly sure what type of functionality that you’re looking for. I would check out the demo and make sure that it has all the functionality you would need. Any specific questions, I’d be glad to help you with.
Andre
Is there any way to remove the loading effect? my client don’t like it to be so fashion, just normal loading.
What do you mean by “loading effect”? You mean the ajax? Yep, you can just remove that javascript function in the custom javascript file and the thumbnails will just link to their normal posts.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Andre
Sorry maybe not so clear, i think you add the loading div when site is loading script, so the page will be all with grey overlay. is there any way to show contents first while loading script rather than showing a grey overlay?
thanks.
The grey overlay is just a background to the site. That way, if you have a very short page, the footer won’t just get “cut off” with white underneath. On short pages the dark grey extends all the way to the bottom of the screen. You can just change the background color to white again and you won’t see it.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Andre

A question before purchase:
Is it possible to select the blog as frontpage?
Hi MRG ,
Yep! Acually, the blog page is the homepage by default. However, you can also set it in the Settings > Reading section of you homepage.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Andre
Hi Andre – a question before purchase..
On the homepage, could I change the current 5×2 portfolio image grid to, say, a 10×20 image grid instead? I was thinking of having loads of images on the homepage that would go a lot further down the page.
This is the smartest looking WP theme I’ve seen btw – well done. And I’ve looked at shitloads
Hi Mikegc,
The homepage grid is based on the skeleton grid system:
http://getskeleton.comYou wouldn’t be able to easily do a 10px x 20px image without adding your own css to the theme. However, you can change the images to something like 40px x 40px without having to add any custom css.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Andre
Thanks Andre,
Sorry, I wasn’t being very clear with my question.
I don’t want to change the proportion of the images. I just want to add more portfolio images to the homepage. Currently there are 10 portfolio images on the homepage. Could I add another, say, another 40 images if I wanted to?
Cheers, Mike
Hi Mike,
Oh, yes of course. You can add as many images as you want to the homepage. Just be aware that with every image you add you’re adding to the load time of the site, so for loading speeds it makes sense to limit your images to as few as possible.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Andre
I bought this theme because the way the demo looks online. I Installed it like I have done with other themes but the template doesn’t look like the demo at all. I know I need to download the sample demo images and upload them to my uploads but I can’t find the demo images any where. Please let me know how to solve this issue.
Hi Uscogli,
Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
Have you checked out the documentation included with the theme? There’s also dummy images, and xml/sql import data with instructions in the “database import” folder of your theme download.

Thanks. I did ask the specific question a month ago and at the same time I posted this comment in your Support Forum but I don’t have an answer yet. I really need to get going with this template this week.. This is the only one that goes with my project. Please help. Thanks!
Hi Uscogli1,
These are the only two support questions I can find for you on the forum:

Hi there,
I really love this theme but before actually taking it to use I have one big question: Is it possible to use the flexslider on the frontpage to link to external or internal URLs? I want to use the flexslider with the fading images to act as a secondary navigation to the most important pages, like for example to the “Contact” page.
Thank you for your response, I hope that I can purchase and use Aware to fulfill the clients needs
Best regards, Christof
Hi Christof,
It’s possible, however, you’d need to make some customizations to the theme to get that to work. The way to go about this is to add a custom field to your portfolio item url:
http://wp-types.com/documentation/user-guides/using-custom-fields/Then just check for it in your homepage template, and echo it if it exists. This would be a more advanced customization that would go beyond the scope of support for the theme. You’d need to seek the help of a developer for an alteration such as this.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Andre
Hey Andre,
I just wanted to tell you (and others that may want to buy the theme and use this modification) that there are two threads in the internal support forum that explain the steps quite easily even for someone that has very basic programming skills.
Keep up the good work and thank you, Christof
Hi Andre,
Beautiful theme, i’m this close to buying!
Just have one question, in the example demo all the portfolio images are landscape. If I had a mixture of portrait and landscape images in the same portfolio tile how does the them handle that?
Does it resize the slideshow window to fit the portrait image?
Hope you can answer my question,
Thanks
Darren
Hi Darren,
Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Yep! Just set the slideshow crop setting in the Theme Options to “No Crop” and the slider will automatically size to the height of each of the images.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Andre
Thanks Andre thats all I needed to know for now, looks like it’ll be a great theme to use!
Cheers,
Darren
Hi Andre, Thank you for the theme. I am completely new to this and just bought your theme and signed up to host on Bluehost. I uploaded the aware.zip file but not really sure where to go from here. Any guidance on some resources to use to install the theme?....Thanks again! John
Hi Johnny,
Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
Have you checked out the documentation included with the theme? It’s located in the “documentation” folder in your Theme download. It will take you step by step on how to install and setup your theme.

Hi Chexchloe,
Thanks so much for your interest! I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Yep! You can have a background image or texture on your site. Just upload it via the Theme Options panel. Here’s a screenshot:
http://themeforest.net/theme_previews/1049029-aware-responsive-wordpress-portfolio-theme?index=4There’s no “hiding effect” feature for this theme at the moment. This may come in a future update depending on demand.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Andre
Thanks for the quick answer Andre. that’s an other good point for your Team! chloé
Hey there Andre,
I appriciate your theme, its top of my ‘willing to buy list’. A first question, how is it categorized when there are more then 10 ‘portfolio items’? Does it add a new row of blocks on the home page?
Pascal
Hi Pascal,
You can have an unlimited amount of portfolio items on your homepage. However, you can also limit the number of items as well (so it only shows the latest 10, or whatever number you choose). Completely flexible and the choice is up to you.
Andre
Hello Andre, first of all awesome theme great job, one question about social media icons, I like to have them appear and bigger on the home page without hide them like what I can see on your demo, also I want to add them on the footer.
is that possible ? Many thanks Baha
Hi Bsawalha,
The social media icons are just added to the top bar via the content area. You can put whatever icons you want up there. To show them by default, however, you’d need to make some minor changes to the javascript file. It’s not too difficult, but you’d need to make some changes to the javascript. You can add any icons you want in the footer as well, via a text widget. Just upload your icons to your media gallery and put them in the text widget.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Andre
Hello,
Do you have a RTL (Right to Left alignment) version of this theme?
Thanks

Is there a possibility to give the following function the parameter for a special skill(category)?
$loop = new WP_Query( array( ‘post_type’ => ‘portfolio’, ‘paged’ => $paged) );
Hai Andre,
Bought the theme and making it work for me. I just dont seem to get control of the toppanel. Where can I change the content for this panel, in your demo you have the icons of social sites. I only get my blog in there, please assist.
Pascal
Hi Pascal,
Thanks for purchasing my theme! I really appreciate it!
