Hello. I was wondering how I go about adding a ‘Latest News’ section under the homepage portfolio?
I was also wondering if it was possible to remove certain skills from the homepage. I’m creating a website for an agency and production company that needs one set of skills for Directors and one set for Production Types (e.g. Music Video, Advert, Corporate etc.).

HI Andre, I am very interested in purchasing your theme but I’d like to know if it’s possible to add different portfolio category and don’t showing them in the home page. I need to build a site for my photography club and all of us have different portfolio with different galleries on the inside and I wonder if this in possible on your amazing theme.

It’s possible to not show a specific category on the homepage, however, you’d just need to make a minor alteration to the theme to get that to work. It’s just adding one line, and I’d be happy to talk you through it, but you would need to make a modification to get it to work.

Category pages are automatically created for you. As long as you have a specific category for each person, it will automatically display those projects. For example:

I just purchased and installed the theme on my Wordpress 3.5 blog. However, the alignment of the entire blog is left and not centered. There is no spacing / padding on the left site, unlike the the Live preview. Do you know how I can fix this? Do I have to edit a file or is it just a simple setting somewhere?

Taking into account any defaults and the themes options – how hard/easy would it be to make the blog the homepage?

Super easy. That’s actually how the site functions by default, so you basically don’t need to do anything once you activate your theme. To get the “Grid” as the homepage requires you to set the homepage as your static page in Settings > Reading.

No syntax highlighters are working with this theme – any ideas? It really sucks because that’s all I wanted it for! Is there something overwriting it?
oooo something else, I’m a little bit disappointed with the width of the blog section. I’m inserting a lot of code as it’s a programming blog and the line wraps are crazy making the code unreadable. Is there a way to make the theme 100% in width? Would it take much work? If not 100% (could make it fugly) is there a way of simply taking the sidebar out of the question for all posts? Should I just remove it’s include from single.php (or your themes revilement)?

“Read More” should be translatable via the .po/.mo files included with the theme. Just use a program like .poedit or a plugin like Codestyling Localization to translate the theme into your language.
Also, you can customize that button to be whatever you like for individual posts as well:

Not out of the box, however, you can do this with some customizations to the theme. It’s possible, however, you’d need to edit some theme code to get multiple and distinct portfolio sections.

The homepage is a page template, there’s no widget areas or shortcodes you need to enter to set it up. The homepage can be configured with the Options panel (such as how many items to display, intro text, latest news section, etc.).

Hello, I bought this theme 7 months ago and really liek the look of it, but have had trouble getting it installed. when i try to upload the folder called aware inside the zip it just doesnt work, clearly im doing something wrong, any ideas

More specifically I wanting to add a super crispy logo to my site so that when viewed through a retina display device my logo looks like a vectored image. Now Ive done some research on this topic here> http://line25.com/tutorials/how-to-create-retina-graphics-for-your-web-designs but I just dont get how to apply it to this theme. Thoughts?

That’s not a feature that’s included with the theme out of the box. However, you can do that with a little bit of alteration to the theme. Basically, you’d just need to duplicate the homepage template to remove the “latest news” section, and add some pagination code to the bottom (unless you don’t have a lot of portfolio items).
