It’s visible that you’ve put alot of work in this theme! Every tiny thing is very well documented, the code structure is clean and well organized! I can’t install it. When I try, it says, “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.” I unzipped the file that I downloaded, and there was no obvious “theme” file. I tried zipping some of the different folders including zipping the “AWSM – Responsive CV Portfolio Template” folder, the “Documents” folder, the “HTML” folder, and the documents and HTML folder together. Any help?

You will have all the updates, of course. Feel free to suggest your ideas and we will consider them for the next versions.

However, this is just single HTML page so we would probably implement this template in a WordPress theme in the near future.

I’m trying to preview the template on my iphone 5 and it’s defaulting to the full website not the mobile version. Is the template setup to view on mobile?

I am interested in purchasing this design. Wanted to know if the contact form actually works (meaning that if someone fills the details and press send, I’ll get an email) as advertised, because on the demo page CAPTCHA is not working…

On AWSM template you have two options – to turn off/on CAPTCHA.

I have tested CAPTCHA, and everything seems to be fine. I’m getting email that I have sent from demo page.

Please let me know if you have some more questions. I hope you will enjoy this template.

I’ve also check the source code of the demo and I don’t see how the contact form works…

This seems very strange as we are unable to reproduce the problem. It always shows the captcha to us.

Which Browser/OS you are using? We suspect this is some browser incompatibility small issue.

One more thing to try:

If you went to demo page via “Live Preview” link on this page, you will see that demo site is opened within an iframe. Please click on the “x remove frame” on the top left of the demo site, iframes can sometimes break the scripts due to security issues with some browsers. So remove the frame and refresh the demo site.

Yes I am looking directly at http://awsm.mekshq.com page and not through iframe. I’ve tested the demo page on all major browsers including Firefox and chorme on Windows 7.

Even then in the source code I don’t see how the contact form works or how it will send an email…?!

We use AJAX to submit contact form and generate captcha as well. The script which handle this is included in JS file called “app.js”. Also, there are two PHP files included in the package where you can change email options and exclude captcha if you don’t want to use it.

We have tested it in IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera, and everything seems to work perfectly.

Hi Guys, thank you for this great template. At this moment I have two question: how can I change social icon on page? In manual I see “change it for example with : a href=”#” class=”soc_link threecol text-center”span class=”ico zerply/span Follow on Zerply_/a_”. It doesn’t work for AWSM, because template use class=”pos pos_”. Please replace _ with < or >

Secondly, would you please explain diference between index.html and features.html.

Hello,

First of all thank you for purchasing AWSM template.

1. If you want to change social icons on profile page look in your chosen color scheme (for example blue.css). There you will find pos_ classes.

For example you have:

.pos_1 {
background-image: url('../../images/icons/blue/twitter.png');}

Just replace it with:

.pos_1 {
background-image: url('../../images/icons/blue/facebook.png');}

In features.html you have code examples how can you use AWSM template. It’s some sort of help. You can find how can you use columns and combine them with your content, you have styled buttons there, line separators, headings etc… There you can also find social icons box (4 icons in a row) that you can combine with your content.

I am having the same problem as BTB. What was the solution? I follow the instructions to a T yet the Captcha does not work. If there is no solution I will just use another form.

Also, I am trying to create more than 4 social media icons? I create a position 5-8 and they show up, but they show up really bad. Please advise, www.patbickham.com.

About that position problem – you need to add .pos_5 class in order to position new link to desired place.

For example:

.pos_5{
left: 20px;
top: 27px;
}

Regarding CAPTCHA problem, open the simple-php-captcha.php file located in captcha folder and try editing line 60:

$image_src = substr(__FILE__, strlen($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'])) . '?_CAPTCHA&t=' . urlencode(microtime());

replace with this:

$image_src = 'captcha/simple-php-captcha.php' . '?_CAPTCHA&t=' . urlencode(microtime());

We are aware that some server configurations can generate wrong paths. Let us know if this helps!

Hi, this is the support forum or where else should any question be posted?

Some questions:

1. Can I make every section, for example, ” about have a different background color?

2. The Go to Top, can be used to go back a section and not the whole page? And, can I add the same button but as a “Next” section one?

3. When viewed in Iphone, the menu bar appears huge. Is there any way it can be smaller?

1. Yes you can do that. But you will need some bigger template tweaking.

2. Yes you can add that, but that is not included in template. You can change code in index.html file from:

  <a href="#top">Top</a>

to:

  <a href="#portfolio">Portfolio</a>

And delete part in app.js on line 27

We are aware of that menu bar thing, we will update theme with changes very soon…

Hi, Regarding video, see javascripts/app.js file at line 224:

Change innerWidth and innerHeight values to any dimensions you want.

Hi Meks, great template. just a quick strange thing happening to me. When viewing locally all images show up fine, when uploaded to my server they seem to be awol. any idea? looked at code, only images linked from css show, not directly from html page.. relative paths & locally fine..
