running on a fresh opencart 1.5.1.3
- The install is difficult.
- You dont see products entering the shopping cart when you refresh the page the products are in the shopping cart when you want to buy them and go to checkout the shopping cart will go empty - No products on homepage because only display bestsellers on homepage
- Always have 4 little pictures under big product picture even there are only 1 pictures of the product
- can’t change the currency
- On categorie page when you put the view in grid mode dicriptientexts is outside the box Example: Samsung SyncMaster 941BW #33 – On categorie page you see the product_id=58 numbers like #58
- Only 5 categories possible on mainmanu.
- No working Attributes tab.
- alot of _Notes maps ??
- Documentation we go from step 2 to step 5 back to step 3.
- best if the theme dont have any or less core ajustments
Iam disappointed with this theme
it feels like its not done and in a hurry
it looks real nice and clean but dont work like a opencart cms hope that you have some good news for me because il will ask my money back

Hi rjm81, please install OpenCart 1.5.1.1, that’s where Basico was built and tested, as written in the documentation. Then:
- The install is difficult.
Sorry, I did the best I could, but implementing custom modules, colors and backgrounds makes things difficult for the user (and for developers as well). However, I explained the installation step by step in the documentation.
- You dont see products entering the shopping cart when you refresh the page the products are in the shopping cart when you want to buy them and go to checkout the shopping cart will go empty –
I can’t re-create this error. I added a product in my shopping cart, then refreshed the page: the checkout goes ahead correctly. Can I have more
information on how to re-create the error?

I updated the module and now you can put featured products instead of bestsellers.
- Always have 4 little pictures under big product picture even there are only 1 pictures of the product
What pictures? You should see 4 small pictures, but with an X inside them if there’s just one products picture (the big one). That’s how it
works: it displays always 4 images pictures, but if there are less products images, it fills the little squares with the x. If you see this, it
was thought and built to be like that
Do you see anything else, like other product’s images below the big product pictures?

Very sorry, my mistake, there was an errore in the support module. Fixed and updated!

Again, my mistake, didn’t fix it in the category page, but did it in the home page. Now fixed in category page as well.
- Only 5 categories possible on mainmanu.
This isn’t an error, I said it in the documentation.
The reason is that I choosed to keep always some padding in each menu elements, to make
them cleaner and readable. This means only a limited number of categories can be shown in the horizontal menu. Read chapter 5.1) Main Menu in
Basico documentation.
- No working Attributes tab.
Fixed, attributes now appears at the top of Description Tab
- alot of _Notes maps ??

- Documentation we go from step 2 to step 5 back to step 3.
They’re just hyperlink to make the documentation more readable. Chapter 3 and 4 describe aspects such as modules and settings, chapter 5 is more like a manual. Chapter 5 sometimes suggests to re-read previous chapters where information about modules and setting are more accurate and detailed.

Core adjustments are needed for better customization, as explained in the documentation.

Unfortunantly I cannot change it without rewriting the js code and the theme was created to be that way, that’s not a bug

I saw in a previous post: The install is difficult I am interested in buying, but what is wrong with the install? shouldn’t it just go in the themes folder? Also if it’s installing outside the themes folder is there any overwrites?
Hello Sprizmo, the install is not that hard, you just need to rewrite a file since it contains custom settings. Anyway, I published the documentation so that you can read it before buying if Basico is what you’re looking for.

Hi Ryantom, at the moment you can display just 4 main photos underneath the big product picture, but I’m currently working on it, so check for updates tonight/tomorrow coz I’m implementing multiple thumbnails.
The var.php file is in the same directory of the zip file, so you will find it in OpenCart_v1.5.1.1/catalog/view/theme/Basico/stylesheet/

Yeah, now you have to edit the horizontal menu and reinstall the modules you need, as explained in the documentation
Your theme is not support Chinese language? Coz we sell chinese books as well in this site. It doesn’t show the chinese text when I set the 2nd menu tab with “Chinese Books ????”, It shown only “Chinese Books” without the chinese text next to it.

Likeing the clean look of the theme, questions? i have multiple categores with sub categories and some of those have sub categories but for some reason only the main category shows up and none of the sub-sub categories show up…..am i missing something or do i need another plug in for this feature…

It was still Slider with Nivo (latest products) as same as Home after setting with Slider Without Nivo (featured products) in product page.

You’ve just installed the Slider without nivo and you still see the Sliderwith Nivo. Is that what you mean?

Nope Ryantom, that’s the only way, it’s a bug fix so if you don’t re-download and re-upload fixed files, changes can’t be applied. Sorry, but it can’t be done differently
If you don’t want to re-upload everything, download the new zip and make sure to MANUALLY re-upload only the 3 following files, since that’s what I fixed:
OpenCart_v1.5.1.1/catalog/view/theme/Basico/template/product/category.tpl
OpenCart_v1.5.1.1/catalog/view/theme/Basico/template/product/product.tpl
OpenCart_v1.5.1.1/catalog/view/theme/Basico/stylesheet/stylesheet.php

Hi Aldema,
The problem still remains unsolved after re-uploading above 3 files.
The issue is:
It leads me to the product page after clicking the button labelled “learn more” which is okay, the problem is the Slider with Nivo set in “home” still remains on the content top of the product page as it should be changed to Slider Without Nivo which was delibrately set in the “product” page.
Note:
Not all the products have this problem, It is only happened with some products especially the Chinese product.

I finally got what you mean. But I see it only on the chinese product. Do you see it on other products?
I’ve never seen something like this, seems like a dababase error or maybe an incompatibility with the chinese language. You can try to re-create the product (create a new one with the same info) deleting the old one. If that doesn’t work, try to remove the chinese language from the product (title, description, etc) and try again: if it works it’s chinese font’s fault.
If it still doesn’t work, you should consider to reinstall the whole thing, since that error doesn’t make much sense.

It is, I tested it for you by copying you text and creating a product in chinese on a private installation for beta testing.
Here you can see it, the page works correctly and doesn’t repeat modules of the home page:

try to reinsert a NEW product and if it doens’t work you should consider to reinstall OpenCart.
Sorry, I can’t do much, it doesn’t look to be a bug.

Hi Ryantom, you can do it from the admin panel, in the product tab. I’m sorry but that’s how OpenCart works, it’s not a custom feature and it’s not needed to write it down in the documentation.
