Hey, I really like how this theme looks like, both on PC and phone and even on my tablet in horizontal mode. But the portrait mode on my tablet (retina iPad) is basically just the phone theme? Is there any plans to alter this so you can better utilize the bigger display of a tablet? Right now this is a show stopper for me purchasing the theme.
You retina ipad width resolution for portrait view is 768px, of course you will see responsive tablet view on it. It can’t fit 1024px site width. If you want to see site on tablets like on desktop you must turn off responsive feature.
Well, I understand that it won’t be able to fit the full width site, but some of the other themes have created a special version for the width of an iPad, which utilizes that it can show more info than a phone.
Our theme have special version for iPad portrait view. If you use landscape view you will see desctop version because 1024px is desktop resolution. If user have PC with 1024px resolution he does not need to see Ipad site version on PC. “Responsive” feature is not device related feature. This is resolution related feature. We can’t show special iPad version for 1024 resolution, this will not right, because this is not mobile resolution.
Never mind, just pointing out that other themes have managed to fit more into the 768px of the iPad, but since I liked your desktop and phone version more I thought I would ask if there were plans to do the same.
I think you don’t understand what I mean before. This is no problem to add some design changes for 1024px (this is ipad resolution). But because this can be also a desktop PC resoultion we can’t do this. Users with PC and 1024px does not need to see responsive version. There is no way to check that users uses tablet 1024x or PC 1024x this is the same things, because this is just resolution. Every site that made for 1024px resolution as normal site you will see on iPad as normal site.
Is it possible to have the nav bar (Home, Women, Men, etc) to always float at the top? I’ve seen some themes that can do that and this is the only cool thing missing on your theme!

You can do this with CSS changes.
Great theme! I haven’t installed your files yet, but after looking at your installation guide, I notice that the structure of your files do not follow Magento’s guide (http://info.magento.com/rs/magentocommerce/images/MagentoDesignGuide.pdf) in order to maintain clean code for upgrades. This guide emphasizes the fact that we have to create a separate theme folder in order to reduce the risk of accidently modifying the default code. Do you have a separate package where all the files (js, lib, media, skin) are organized within the beautyshop folder instead of it sitting up where the app folder is?
Sorry, but we don’t have some special theme version for you. Our theme does not messed up something. All other themeforest themes for magento work in this way as our theme. 200 people bought this theme and does not have any problem with theme directories and files. Theme can’t have only “skin” folder for templates, it will not work in this way (it can only change some styles and colors and this is all). You don’t find theme with features like our theme have without “app” folder. This is required to add some modules and components to have nice not standart features that we have.

I’m sure your theme won’t mess up anything, I was just wondering if you can move all the folders (ie. js, lib, media, and skin) from the UPLOAD folder to UPLOAD > app > design > frontend > default > beautyshop. That way all your files are all under beautyshop folder.
This is no possible, theme will not work in this way and user can’t select skin in Magento.
You state that this theme is SEO optimized markup and layout, is there a guide that explains what is done?

okay, I’m trying to create the custom top menu drop down item, I followed your instruction to a tee, but I can’t get the content to show, but the menu item is showing up on the menu bar. When I hover over the new custom menu I created, it won’t display the custom content I copied and pasted from your installation file. What could be wrong?
hey dedalx, we just noticed that after we turned on your theme, all our attributes options for each product disappeared. We deactivated your theme and all the product options came back. What in your theme is causing the attributes to not work?

I love this responsive theme, the colors, custom and multilevel menus, the continuous scrolling on the category pages, and the fun product hovering feature where you can add to cart directly, etc. There is one thing that is missing for me – is there a quick view feature that we can turn on? Also, I’m loooking at your featured list and am wondering, what are the jquery enhanced advanced effects? What are the SEO optimized markup and layout? If you can help list the specific jquery effects and SEO optimized markup that is on your theme, I can help convince my CEO to buy your theme for our site.
