Hello again,

Thanks for all your help and timely responses.

I’ve been working on designing a header and have uploaded one to my website but for some reason instead of taking the entire width of the page the header is aligned to the right. Could you please tell me how to make the header the full width of the page. The width of my header is 950px but even when I tried it at 911px there was still the same problem.

Here is a link so you can see for yourself: http://eartothetrack.net/

Thanks for your help!

Sorry you can ignore this one, I managed to fix it, I had added some extra coding in a separate editor that I had forgotten about. Thanks!

Hello,

Sorry for two questions in one day but I was also wondering if you could give me dummy proof step by step directions as to how I would add the shadows under the content boxes like you have on the Big City preview pages.

Thanks!

There is the like button, loading dissapears after few seconds and like button is loaded.

Well, it is being added by a plugin, so it can be removed in slider settings or code. With CSS, you can just hide it (but itis much better, if you could disable it in plugin settings):

.search .sd-like {display:none;}

Thank you!

That’s strange..loading doesn’t disappear for me and there is not a like button..Oh well it’s not a big deal and I’ll try what you suggested.

Getting very close to launch now so thanks for all your help!

Just a couple more things: 1. I am using the post slider but I want one of the slides to include a static post that stays there even though the other slides will change when new posts are published. Kind of like an ad slide. Is there a way to do this? 2. The mobile site doesn’t show the logo, is there anyway to display the logo at the top?

Thanks!

Hi,

1. I am sorry, but there is no settings like this for the post slider. It can only show selected posts, but it will not show any others then.

2. This mobile theme is not theme’s, I think you are using a plugin, so this question should be addressed to plugin author.

Thank you!

Hi! Long time without any problems, so thanks again for such a great theme!

Now i have 2 questions:

1. Is it possible to fix the position of the sidebar, so it doesn’t scroll? And also the header? (i know how to fix the menu).

2. The colour behind the text of each blog post – can that be made semi-transparent? i can’t see an opacity setting but i’m guessing that’s the way to do it?

many thanks – been using this template for several years now and still really love it :)

Thanks – i’ve tried experimenting but nothing seems to align properly – can you advise how best to tweak comments.php to do this? Thanks!

Something simple like:
<div style="width:50%; float:left;">
comment form here
<div>
<div style="width:50%; float:left;">
your second column content here
</div>

Thank you!</div></div>

Hi MNKY,

So I’ve launched the site but then received feedback that people couldn’t sign up on mobile because the sign up form in the primary widget area doesn’t show. Even when I clicked ‘desktop site’ it didn’t show. I turned off the mobile plugin and used yours and I had the same issue. I’ve disabled the responsive layout for the moment but is there any way to have the responsive layout display the sign up form somewhere?

Thanks!

Hi,

Add this to the end of the style.css
@media only screen and (max-width:959px){
#sidebar_right, #sidebar_left, #recent_post_slider, #primary-main-menu, #footer_button, .devices_hide, .widget_nav_menu, #topcontrol {
    display: block !important;
    width: 100%;
    margin-top: 50px;
}
}

@media only screen and (max-width:959px){
#primary {width:100%;}
}
}

Thank you!

It didn’t work, it made the slider appear and the menu was displayed at the top but no widgets. The mobile site really doesn’t display well either, the logo is off to one side and some of the images are cut off at the right hand side and although the posts fit to the screen there is extra border area to the right. The jetpack plugin displays better but with no logo and again no widgets. Do you have any other suggestions for making the mobile version fit to the page, display the logo correctly and include a sign up area? Thanks!

Hi,

I am sorry, there was an error in CSS. Please use this:
@media only screen and (max-width:959px){
#sidebar_right, #sidebar_left {
    display: block !important;
    width: 100%;
    margin-top: 50px;
}
}

@media only screen and (max-width:959px){
#primary {width:100%;}
}
}

Your sidebar will appear below the content.

Thank you!

How can i reduce the bottom padding of the widgets? i’ve tried amending this code in style.css:

.widget-container { border: 1px solid #f6f6f6; background:#f6f6f6 url(‘images/css/entry_bg.jpg’); padding:0px 15px 22px 15px; -webkit-border-radius: 3px; -moz-border-radius: 3px; border-radius: 3px;}

but it doesn’t seem to be working. Thanks!

EDIT: to clarify, i’d like to edit both the padding at the bottom of the widget (i.e. within the widget) and also the gap between the widgets.

Hi,

Inner padding of the widgets:
.widget-container {padding-bottom:0px;}
Margin between widgets:
.widget_box_shadow {height:0px;}
Thank you!

Perfect! Thanks again for the excellent support :)

Hi, I have a problem changing my header logo. When I upload the image, and then I choose it and I click on “insert to post”, it appears a blank page. So my site is headerless :/ How I can fix it ??

Hi,

You can try manually inserting image url into input field and click save, does this work?

Thank you!
